This little gem is a must-visit! A proper cozy atmosphere, with friendly staff who are passionate about their local drinks and tasty food. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a proper pint (or a delicious bite!), supporting local businesses at the same time. Highly recommend!

What a pleasure to be in this little spot. It’s super friendly and actively encourages socialising and sharing stories and joy. Great local ciders and beers - and locally supplied pies and scotch eggs. Very cosy and very affordable. Takes card and cash, defo stop for a chat with the bar staff who are very knowledgeable about all things boozey and Rye.

Very friendly and welcoming. Quirky and interesting. Amazing selection of beers and ciders. Scotch eggs and pork pies were tasty, would be even better if they could be served warm on a cold evening.

Fantastic and so friendly, meeting new people is actively encouraged and we chatted to different people, and met lots of dogs, on each visit. Great range of beers and ciders.

Brilliant pub! We was visiting Eastbourne and went rye last summer and enjoyed this pub so much took a detour on the way home to visit again. The service is fantastic, knowledge on ales is great as asked what would recommend as wanted to try something new. Everyone was very welcoming, we came on the Sunday and played toad in the hole. Was brilliant, scotch egg and pork pie was top tier. Never disapoints, and look forward to visiting in the warmer summer months :)

The Rye Waterworks Micropub is a hidden gem in the heart of Rye. With a cozy, welcoming vibe, it's the perfect spot to unwind with friends. The beer selection is impressive, featuring a rotating list of local brews, all reasonably priced. You'll find pints averaging around £4.50, with the most expensive options maxing out at £6—great value for the quality. The pub has a charming, rustic interior, and the staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's well worth a visit!

This is a great place for beer lovers as they have a large selection to choose from. I had the Romney American Pale Ale and Mrs had the Porter. Both were spot on. The staff and locals were very friendly and customers are encouraged to share tables and engage complete strangers in conversation 😁 We didn't try the food but the pork pies looked amazing. We will definitely be going back as we had a great time and the prices are very reasonable compared to other places in Rye.

Yelp
David just won another Camra award for real ale and in his style he gave 100% of the credit to his team. It's probably the most popular pub in Rye.

Yelp
Great to see that this fantastic micropub has survived the Covid scare. Dropped by for a few pints again after three years, and it's as lovely as ever. Great local real ale & cider selection, very friendly service (this time by the owner himself, among others). A lot busier than when I first visited (they were brand new then), and as before, many of the decorative items and even pieces of furniture are also for sale. A great place to hang out, friendly patrons ... just great! P.S.: I once created this shop site and later told the owner to claim it. And he did. ;)

Yelp
This was the last pub we visited on our recent day trip to Rye (06/12/2019). We got there around 17:30 and the place was very busy. The range of beers was amazing for such a small place and each half pint we had was absolutely perfect. Such beautiful beer in such an interesting and charming place. If I lived in Rye, I'd be drinking in here every night.
