Amazing ramen and atmosphere! Ryu’s is a super cute ramen place that isn’t too cramped and has a nice atmosphere. I got the shio plum ramen, and I loved it. The light sour flavour was incredible. I also highly recommend the melon cream soda… the vanilla flavour added to the melon is SO GOOD. Prices are decent, $16-20 or so for a bowl. I’d highly recommend going at lunch to get their combos. Also, they do have two vegan options + you can make your own! My partner also has a peanut allergy, and the staff were very accommodating:)

Quality ramen place in a quiet part of Toronto Ordered the gyokai tsukemen. The taste and viscosity of the dipping sauce are good, and the additional item of maple butter also adds a layer of change to the sauce. The noodles are chewy and the sauce clings well to the noodles. The interior is spacious, comfortable, and relaxing; and the staff are friendly Apparently this ramen group owns several ramen places in town serving distinctive ramen styles. After trying Ryus Noodle Bar, I wish I had the chance to try the Jiro-Kei ramen place a few streets away but unfortunately I do not have the time to do so.

We grabbed dinner here on our way to eaton center and it was a perfect stop. The spot is easy to get to and the ramen really impressed me. I ordered the spicy miso at the standard heat, but it turned out milder than I expected. If you’re comfortable with spice, you’ll probably enjoy the “hot” or even “super hot” options more. Absolutely worth a visit!

I first tried Ryus Noodle Bar through Uber Eats and really liked it! I ordered the Tantanmen and it was already good but when my friend and I went to the actual restaurant, it tasted even better.. creamier and you can even adjust the spice level, which I loved. The only downside is the limited menu options. Since it’s a Japanese place, I was hoping to see more items like karaage or other sides that go well with ramen. They only had gyoza and it was a bit pricey. Actually, everything was a little expensive.. maybe because of the location. Overall, the food was great and the ramen was definitely worth trying. I’d go back again, maybe when I have more money to spend.

One of the best Ramen I have ever tried in Toronto. We got the spicy ramen and melon cream soda. Melon cream soda just tastes like it comes from Japan. The spicy miso ramen has a rich broth with spicy oil (tastes so good) and the tofu topping adds another flavour on the ramen makes you cannot stop eating it. The ramen style here is also different from other stores - highly recommended if drop by. Service is good, store is clean, one of the must try ramen stores in Toronto.

Food was overpriced. To be fair the food was good and cooked properly however, I think it is criminal to charge 17.50 on a Ramen with a sesame seed base and a tiny piece of chicken and half an egg. I would definitely choose something else over this place. It is conveniently located at Broadview and Danforth so I can see why the place is popular. However, there is better Ramen elsewhere. The price is not justifiable here.

The restaurant has a cozy, homey atmosphere. We visited between lunch and dinner hours, and the place was lively with families, couples, and solo diners enjoying their meals. I ordered the Tan Tan Men, and it was excellent — the sesame aroma and sweetness were wonderful, and it was spicier than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise for someone like me who loves spicy food. The balance of flavors in the soup was perfect, and I enjoyed every bite. Orders are placed through your phone, but the staff were very friendly and attentive when bringing the dishes and checking in afterward. Great food, great service — definitely a place I’d love to come back to!

The ramen here is very delicious especially the miso ramen. They also have a kids meal you can for your kids. I got one of their cold Ramen and it tastes so good. For sure we'll visit again. Highly recommended.

Overall, this is a great place for a casual meal. There's a few tables that can be combined for bigger parties and bar seating if you're alone. Staff was nice. They greeted us as we entered and came by to check up on our table throughout our meal. Also we were asked twice if we had any food allergies. There's a good variety on the menu for ramen, even vegetarian options! Broth was delicious and I was wanting more at the end of my meal. Noodles were ok. Prices are a little high, but location is very convenient if you're taking public transportation. They have a stamp card so if you eat there enough times you can get a free meal.

I got the Nostalgic Japanese Shio Ramen and really liked it. The soup base is light but also very flavourful. The noodles and toppings all went well together. Portions aren't very large, best to get an appetizer with your ramen if you're hungry. The service good. You order everything on the app. The food came out quickly. They have a hidden outdoor patio in the back as well!

My friend and I came here today in the evening and there were still spots although they were getting quite full. I got the spicy shoyu ramen with 1/2 noodles, and a seasoned egg. This ramen features original chicken authentic broth combined with soy sauce base. For meats they give one slice of pork cha-shu and one slice of chicken cha-shu. There was also some arugula, bamboo shoots, and white fungus. The broth was thicker than other places but I still very much enjoyed it! It was so rich and flavourful. My friend got the spicy miso ramen and she didn't enjoy it as much but she still finished all the noodles. Service was quite attentive. Only reason why I gave this place 4/5 is because I feel the value could be more for the price. At $17.5, the price doesn't include an egg either and there are extra costs with changing the levels of spice.

No MSG chicken broth? Sign me up! I'm a sucker for ramen, it's probably my favourite food next to sushi. I'm also a sucker for seasonal specials, and the Autumn + Winter special at RYUS was one of them. This dipping ramen was delicious! Sous-vide AAA roast beef, black truffle, bits of pork belly in the miso dipping broth. AND an extra bowl of rice to suck up the extra broth. If there was a perfect dish, it would be this one. Compliments to whoever crafted this dish, and the chef. My boyfriend ordered the nostalgic Japanese Shio ramen, which he said was tasty. We like the non-MSG broths! The bar area was so cute, aesthetically pleasing and cozy. It didn't feel as tight as other ramen shops which I liked.

Soupy noodles are my comfort food of choice after a long or cold day! The broth, noodles and toppings all combine together harmoniously to make a delicious dish. I actually typically don't order noodle soups when I'm out thought because I'm a baby when it comes to got temperatures. So if I order noodle soups, we are gonna be sitting there for a while as I wait for it to cool down On this day I did decide to get a bowl from Ryu's ! We got the Spicy Miso ramen and either the shio or shoyu ramen (can't remember! This is what happens when I don't write it down). Spicy miso was not bad but I do think I preferred the other one more! Noodles were cooked to perfection without being soggy. Ryu is pretty well known and often listed as one of the best ramen places in Toronto. I'm not a ramen connoisseur so I can't tell you whether its the best, but it is quiet good.

Not my favourite ramen spot but definitely good! We ordered the Nostaligic Shio Ramen and Beef Curry. I want to preface this that their broths are chicken based and does not include MSG! I'm not used to chicken broth but it was really yummy, though I definitely still prefer pork! The service was quite fast on a Saturday night and the prices were very reasonable. The noodle was a little more on the al dente side and thin which is where it fell a little short for me - I like them chewy! The portions of the beef curry were a little small and wish it came with the potato and carrots that we're used to having Japanese curry with. Other than that, it was a really good place and would come back if craving ramen around the area again!

Highly recommend the Taiwanese Maze Soba and RYUS Rich Shio Ramen. it was our first time here and we wanted to try their signature Rich Shio Ramen and something a bit different. The Rich Shio Ramen was true to its name with a very rich and intense chicken broth that was full of savoury chicken flavour and a silky creamy texture. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the toppings were all good. I think adding a seasoned egg for $2.50 is a bit pricey. The Taiwanese Maze Soba was very unique to us and I wasn't sure what made it Taiwanese but nevertheless we were very happy with it. There's a free upsize and we got the "hot" spice level. I find that Japanese food isn't usually spicy even when it's called hot, but this one actually had heat! The toppings along with the egg made a super umami sauce that coated the perfectly chewy noodles. Both dishes tasted great and staff were nice and helpful. The location is clean and construction on Broadview means you have to park down the street.

Wow, I am so happy I discovered this gem of a place! I always walk past them since my nail salon is right next to Ryus. I never thought that the ramen here can be so amazing. Spontaneously came here on a Saturday evening looking for a quick bite with my boyfriend. They weren't that busy so we were seated really quickly. The restaurant was small, clean and very cute. The waitresses were very nice and super attentive, they kept refilling our waters and cleaned up our bowls really quick when we finished. We both decided to try their limited edition ramens which were the Maple Butter Shio Ramen and the Garlic Black Oil Rich Shio Ramen. They were both so delicious and I was so surprised with the broth. The broth was a bit thick which coated the noodles so perfectly every bite was so flavourful the arugula in the noodles gave it a fresh bitter taste that help cut down the heaviness and the sous vide chicken breast WAS SO TENDER. Both bowls were so good, I actually UberEats them again the next day.

Been dying to try this place but was sorely disappointed. Ordered the Tan Tan Men ($21 on Uber Eats). Firstly, the soup arrived partially spilled -- half the broth was in the delivery bag. The containers are not leakproof and are held together by scotch tape, what's that about? So that was a fail, but that's not even why I'm giving 2 stars. The broth was awful (soo fishy and just a repellent flavour overall) and there was almost nothing in there except noodles. Literally, there were a few bits of minced chicken but otherwise zip. Listen, I'm a ramen lover and have eaten ramen all over Toronto (and in Tokyo and Kyoto). This was way below par on every level. Sorry Ryu.

I decided to give it a try seeing it has good reviews. They have a selection of ramen and rice dishes to choose from. Menu is digital, you scan the QR code. They have a loyalty program, purchase 10 bowls, get one free. I ordered the rich shio ramen, their most popular dish. I thought it was average. The broth did not have complex flavour, mostly salty. The noodles were a little on the al dente side. Not very chewy. after tax about $20 for a bowl of ramen, i think it's overpriced for what you get.

Why is it a 4 instead of a 5 now? Mapo Tofu on Rice (Large) 2/5 For something that costs over $16 with tax, it was REALLY NOT worth it. The pictures looked good and I was curious to try their rice dishes for the first time but the rice was very mushy and not cooked properly at all. The mapo tofu itself tasted okay but not that flavorful. For $3.25 extra, it looked like they just added more rice and no mapo tofu. I would love to try their curry or pork cha-shu, but I was so disappointed in their mapo tofu on rice so I'll have to reconsider. Gyoza 3/5 Again, juicy fillings but the dough is quite thick and the filling is not too much. Paying close to $2 per gyoza is a bit much even for how tasty the filling is. But my friend wanted to try it. Shio Plum ramen 3.5/5 It was good, but not as good as their Rich Shio. Taste was delicate. I'm not sure if someone new started working there but the noodle was a bit soft and clumpy like they overcooked it or let it sit out for too long. The seasoned egg was good but pretty cold. So why is it a 4 star and not lower? Because I still think that their Rich Shio and Garlic Shio (seasonal) that I tried on the same day is still one of the best ramen in Toronto. They have read my reviews before and relayed it to the kirchen so I have hope that they will improve their dish.

We liked the nostalgic shoyu ramen and spicy miso ramen. You can adjust the spice level for the spicy miso ramen and neither is a heavy dish for us.

I heard rave reviews about this place and decided to give it a try on a windy fall night and I wasn't disappointed at all! But first things first, if you don't know much about Ramen and it's types and flavours, ask your server and they'll be happy to explain what it might taste like. We ordered: Nostalgic Japanese Shoyu Ramen - my personal favourite! Comes with half an egg and chicken. The broth was soupy and runny and so good! Ryu's rich Shio - again one of my favourites! Loved the broth and the flavours! Spicy Miso Ramen - the flavours were not suitable for my tastebuds but the one who ordered it loved it so no complaints! Tan Tan Men - this one's a tricky one. It comes with shrimp powder paste and if you're not okay with it, let your server know/ask your server because you may or may not like the flavour of the dish. I also got their Raamune which is authentic Japanese carbonated Soda or Sprite - loved it!

Expected quite a lot from this place given it's decent reviews on Yelp and Google. Located in the Danforth area, this place has a cool vibe and you are immediately greeted by enthusiastic servers. They have your typical selection of broths and noodles that you'd find at any other ramen shop. Got the Shoyu Ramen ($16.25) which all in all, was just ok. Really nothing to scoff about. The pork I thought lacked a bit of that rich, charred flavour I like from other ramen spots, and the broth was also a tad lighter than what I'm used to, especially for a Shoyu. Pretty much all I can say about the Shoyu is, meh. Probably wouldn't come back since I've definitely had much better ramen elsewhere not just in Toronto, but around the GTA

Great hidden gem. The chef and staff are Japanese so I was expecting good ramen and they delivered. I got the black garlic rich shio ramen. The broth was amazing. Creamy with just the right amount of garlicky flavor. Noodles were cooked al dente. The toppings went so well. I always like to have bamboo shoots in my ramen and this came with it, which is nice. Meat was sous vide so the texture was heavenly. Overall, the portion was very decent. My bf was surprised that they gave a lot of noodles compared to other ramen spots. Not much to say about the ambiance but expect quick service and friendly staff. Will definitely come back when I crave ramen.

This is one of my favourite places to get ramen. We decided to come here and eat on the patio as we haven't been here in a while. The patio is small and has some heaters around. It was really cold on the day we came so we the heaters didn't help too much. We got the gyoza as an appetizer, the rich shio ramen and the tsukemen. We enjoyed everything we ordered. I love the rich shio broth from here as it's very flavourful. The staff was very friendly and attentive even though we were sitting on the patio. I always have a great time and meal when I come here!

Back again since I've tried it a few years ago. Still great flavours and service! "Hot wine" I assumed since it's near Christmas this would be like mulled wine. It came with a cinnamon stick however the flavours of the other ingredients of a mulled wine was lacking. Not very fragrant. Gyoza (pork) Delicious but the bottom could be a bit more burnt and crispier. Angus Roast Beef Ramen (Shio) Thick and creamy soup full of flavor. The roast beef was good, served with truffle oil. Doesn't come with egg or seaweed but it does come with some snow fungus which was interesting. Niboshi Ramen (anchovies clear broth, limited time) Lovely fishy broth. The pork slices were tender but I prefer the roasted style better. Also doesn't come with egg but there is one piece of seaweed. Pretty tasty noodles spot in the Danforth. We went here for lunch and got: - Angus Roast Beef Ramen: The beef was on the side with a tasty dipping sauce. The broth was chicken-based which made it a bit less salty (which I liked). The noodles were a bit too thin and not as flavourful as I'd like. The side poached egg was perfect, and the fried tofu added a different texture to the bowl. - Pork Gyoza: Glistening coating that wasn't overly thick. Pork filling was tasty and packed well. Service was friendly and efficient (there's a buzzer to call servers over when you want to order/pay). Overall, a good noodle spot if you're in the area.

They have no only japan traditional soup, but also like a more innovative way to make the broths. I love the outdoor area, quite chill. Spicy Miso Ramen with Salted Egg: A bold creation that combines the fiery kick of Spicy Miso with the rich indulgence of salted egg. The bowl actually topped with Mabo-Tofu, pretty innovative, and the broth is bold with great texture of noddles. Shoyu Ramen with Tofu: I guess this a more traditional one among Japanese ramen, with Original Chicken Authentic Broth infused with a soy sauce base. Crowned with Cha-Shu Plum Wine: Elevate your experience with the delicate sweetness of Plum Wine, a treat that perfectly complements the richness of Ramen. Passion Fruit Oolong Tea: A refreshing sip of Passion Fruit Oolong Tea adds a tangy twist to your culinary journey.

Ended up at this place before a concert and it was a pretty good decision. Got the beef curry and it was so delicious and a good serving also. Would come back again and try the ramen next time.

Great ramen! I had the Ryus Rich Shio. The way this broth coats the tongue, and this piece of chicken breast is the most tender , clean tasting, and juicy piece of white meat I've ever had. I also tried their sous vide AAA roast beef. This was good, I especially love pairing it with the garlic oil and ginger.

I've always wanted to visit this little spot whenever I passed by broadview and I finally gotten the chance. My friend and I were looking for a spot that we can eat that can accommodate gluten free meals. Double luck for me, they do have gluten free noodles. We both ordered the shoyu ramen. The broth was absolutely amazing. It wasn't heavy and oil like most ramen broths are. We ate it with ease and was delicious with every bite. Would highly highly recommend this place as this is now our go-to spot for ramen.

Convenient location located directly across from Broadview subway station. The inside is cozy and nicely decorated, we were seated at a table that was awkwardly positioned next to a back patio! Would suggest adjusting/removing that table because it seems like a major tripping hazard (almost had water splashed on me). We had the vegetarian gyoza as an appetizer and they were tasty. The star of the show was their Rich Shio Ramen. The chicken broth was SUPER rich, almost akin to a gravy, and is a great fix on a cold day. There were also ample portions of pork and chicken cha-shu (was really pleasantly surprised by how tender the chicken cha-shu was), bamboo shoot, white fungus, and arugula. I found the arugula's bitterness didn't pair well with the intense umami flavour of everything else, but apart from that the Rich Shio is a must-get. Eager to come back to try their other ramen bowls!

They had lovely service, a cute ambiance, some great East Asian sodas, and excellent ramen.

First time back at Ryu's since their Baldwin location many years ago and the quality is the same! Their Rich Shio Ramen is just so creamy and full of flavour. The noodles also have the right texture and hardness as well. Also tried the gyoza and liked how thin the skin was. Service was also very attentive.

Still as good as ever! The pork blaster ramen is fantastic as a value for money and so filling!!

Ryus is consistently great! Ever since I went to Japan a few months ago, I've been trying to find a ramen place that reaches the same standard as overseas, and Ryus is definitely there. I've been there four times and my favourite thing to order is the Shio Dip'n Noodle and the Tan Tan Men. I love how the restaurant is casual and the staff is very friendly!

Location/Service This place is near the intersection of Bloor and Broadview. There's parking along the street and a Green P available around the block. It's very accessible via TTC. Restaurant is not hard to miss (big store front sign). Inside is modern and bright. Social distance and tracing measurements in place, along with hand sanitizers. I like how they don't offer menus and direct you to go on their website to see what to order. Staff were friendly and mindful. Orders came pretty quick. Food Ordered the Ryus Rich Shio ramen. It's a chicken broth with chicken char shu and thin noodles. Something different as I haven't tried chicken based broth. It was flavourful, but a bit salty. Also a bit fatty too, as if it's not as smooth as a pork based soup. The noodles were a bit soggy (although comforting). But the char shu was tender and soft, not dry at all for chicken. Overall, this place was okay for me. It wasn't that spectacular and I wasn't too impressed on my first try. I like how they are offering takeout, so may prob try again when I'm in the area.

Haven't been here for about 3 years due to the pandemic. Happy to be back again! Placed an order for Angus Beef Curry Dipping Noodles. It was extraordinary!!!! The noodles and the broth came separately. There were two halves of a cherry tomato, two halves of an egg and some salad greens on top of the noodles. Love the broth so much. The broth was made of curry, beef, pork, chicken, seafood and vegetables. There were a few chunks of beef inside the broth and they were tender and soft. I requested to have regular level of spiciness. It was just perfect to my taste. The noodles were thick and chewy, a perfect match to the broth. It's really good!

The first chicken broth ramen in Toronto! I ordered the rich shio ramen and can say that the chicken broth was super rich and can compete with the normal bone broth. The spicy chicken gizzard were very appetizing and had a very balanced flavour profile. The meat platter was interesting. Each type of meat had a different sauce to compliment it. The dip noodles were great as well and the noodles were super chewy.

I always go to Ryus as it is so close to my work. Everytime you dine there, you will get a 10% off and free topping coupon for next time. They have $15 lunch combo special from Tuesday to Thursday which includes a pop, tofu salad and ramen of your choice. Trying the Taiwanese maze soba this time and love it. Portion is always big and I took half to go. PS - broken egg for $0.50 is a must if they have it available

Was looking for some ramen places to eat downtown and stumbled across this place. Heard a lot of good reviews about it so I decided to give it a try! Ordered the Miso Ramen, Tan Tan Men, and Beef Gyoza. The best one was probably the tan tan men. The broth was creamy and thick, packing a really strong sesame flavour. The miso ramen and gyoza were a little underwhelming. Gyoza was small and not crunchy for a fried Gyoza! The miso ramen was a bit bland. They had condiments at each table so I was able to add some salt and chilli powder to add some more flavour. Overall, it's a decent ramen place, but you can find better for cheaper in Toronto.

A treasure. Consistently the highest quality, most innovative ramen in Toronto. I can't explain the exact collision of perfection that occurs but there is a life and sparkle to the broth, a supple chew to the noodle and a dedicated focus on quality and flavour. Appetizers and sides are excellent, the spicy miso sardine is possibly the best thing I've ever had. The rotating seasonal specials are absolutely worth tasting. A selection of shochu!! I've come to absolutely love a glass or two with my dinner. There are places I feel may serve niche ramens better but I will always, always return to Ryu's.

This was my first time here and I was surprised at how unique the ramen is. The broth is thicker than any other restaurant and the noodles are thin. My server recommended I try the Shoyu ramen and it didn't disappoint. It wasn't salty which I find is usually the issue at other places. It's also a great size for the price.

This ramen restaurant has one of the BEST flavour profiles in Toronto. Their Tan Tan Ramen is extremely rich in broth and worth the purchase as a first experience and repeating visits! The service is usually good, but when it's busy then its busy and that's not on the fact that it's a small venue. The variety of ramen is also good, and they have different seasonal menus to mix it up! I can't say this enough, but the flavours are really a MUST-TRY! Whatever shortcomings it has for your experience, the flavour makes up for it. Better than most ramen restaurants, and worth every dollar! Overall: highly recommended

Been a stan for this ramen place since it's original location in Baldwin! And honestly, it's still forever my favourite ramen place in Toronto. The flavours are out this world and the amount of umami in everything is chef's kiss . If you're a fan of tsukemen, this is the place for you! Angus and ship dip n'noodles are my ABSOLUTE FAVES. And the food was perfectly delivered and sealed on delivery. This place does not disappoint. They have such variety in their menu and the ramen consistently packs a punch, that it's clear there's so much care in the end to end. 100/100 ramen bowls would recommend and super excited to try out their other menu items.

Well-adapted for dining during COVID-19, great service and tasty ramen. Came for a super late lunch on Saturday and there was no wait. They now have a back patio that's rain proof, with sun protection, air conditioning, dividers, hand sanitizer per dining pod and ample fans, all thoughtfully executed. Onto the food! There are two vegetarian options here and I tried the Veggie Miso Postage which was very rich and delicious with generous hunks of mushrooms and thick chewy noodles! Also love that there are lots of chili powder and white pepper at the table for a bit of extra kick. If you have allergies, there are tables at the end of the menu to help you figure out the safest option for you. Overall a lovely establishment that really considers its guests and goes out of their way to make folks comfortable. On that note, FYI there are some notes about accessibility. The back patio is accessed via a narrow walkway and the washrooms are down a set of stairs.

The chicken broth is quite unique and it was a good thickness and taste. I got extra broth and noodles to have a feast and definitely had to take a lot of it home. A bit on the pricier side, but worth the experience as they are quite popular. Having said that, I wouldn't compare it to a traditional pork based broth as its a very different ramen

I would like to update my review and say I have gone back to Ryu's Noodle Bar several times since and have had a good experience every time. I now consider Ryu's to be the best ramen in Toronto, what with its rich tasty broth and super chewy and well cooked noodles!

This is a small noodle bar opposite Broadview Station. If you prefer to drive there is a Green P lot behind Broadview Station. My friend and I came here before a concert at the Danforth Music Hall down the street. It gets quite busy so be prepared to wait for a table. I found the ramen too salty for my tastes even though I wasn't drinking the soup. It was odd to me that the ramen comes with a slice of chicken instead of pork. I believe that there's the option to pay more for pork instead of having chicken. The reviews are generally very good. If I'm ever in the area again I'll have to try something else on the menu.

If you read my reviews, you would know that a 5-star review comes far and few between, but this place deserves it (granted it still has its cons but not enough to dock a star). I came on a weekday which I strongly recommend if you're able to because waiting in line definitely can kill the excitement of this place but after eating at this place once, I'd gladly wait 40min. This place is as authentic as it comes in Toronto in terms of scouring for authentic Japanese ramen. Now onto the food! My partner and I tried 2 different ramens; the miso ramen and the famous rich shio ramen. It's a tough decision between the two but if I was only coming by myself, I would probably get the rich shio (by a very slim margin). The miso ramen comes in notably thicker noodles than the shio one (which is almost angel hair ramen thickness). Both broths are very rich and creamy and the best part was I wasn't thirsty afterwards so that means there wasn't MSG (I was thinking about that as I devoured the soup in the noodles if I was going to regret it later...did not regret). We also got the melon floatie which I would recommend. For someone that doesn't drink soft drinks or like too much sweet stuff, this was very acceptable. The green "syrup" was not really sweet at all and neither was the vanilla ice cream. Majority of the sweetness came from the sprite itself so if you're craving a "dessert" after the ramen, I recommend this. One down thing to note is that their toppings (like an egg) costs extra. While I wouldn't say that it costs a hefty sum, I just assumed eggs always came with ramen. But for this place, I'll do it and not dock a star. Also, seating is limited here so groups bigger than 3 probably will have a harder time finding a spot in a timely manner. Definitely will come again to this ramen spot!! I'm already thinking about them as I type this up.

Tried Ryu's... was intrigued when it was advertised as one of two ramen restaurants outside of Japan invited to open a stall at the ramen museum in Japan. Got there just before the line started (7:00?) There were quite a few choices on the menu. I decided to try their tan tan noodles since it was a seasonal menu item (and the server recommended it over their regular shoyu noodles. To be honest, I'm not sure I liked it. Soup was too thick and the flavour was not very good. Its spicy factor was just right, but the flavour was "blah". I can't even describe it. I expected more sesame flavour. I wish the egg (at an extra charge) was cut rather than the whole egg plopped in the bowl. It was too bad that the egg had no flavour whatsoever. The $14.99 price made it worse. I ended up using my water to "wash" the noodles. My husband and toddler enjoyed their meals. Hubby agreed that the broth was too thick and not very flavourful, but the beef was good. Toddler ate all of this chicken ramen and veggie rice.

This cute little ramen place is conveniently located right across the street from Broadview Station. The restaurant itself is modern and bright with a good amount of seating, given the small space they have to work with. It also doesn't get too busy on weeknights. I came here on a cold weeknight in the winter, to meet up with a friend. After taking a look at the menu, we both decided to go with the Spicy Tan Tan Men and it was so yummy! The broth had such deep flavours, a great creamy consistency, the perfect noodle to soup ratio, and a good amount of spice! It honestly felt like a big warm hug in soup form. Overall, it was a amazing first experience and I will definitely be back soon! Side Note: They do NOT accept VISA

I was honestly so sad when Ryu's Baldwin location closed down! This is my first time coming to this new location and I must say that the food is still just as great. I got their Shoyu ramen and the flavour of the broth is so recognizable and so full of depth. The noodles are chewy and holds a lot of flavour. My only complaint about the food is that it is slightly pricey and $14 doesn't even get you an egg. However, I would still put Ryu's as top 3 on my list of Toronto ramen places. Another downside is that location isn't as great as before (parking was a nightmare). It is, however, right across from Broadview station. The wait time was about 20 mins on a Saturday night around 8:30pm. The service was friendly and efficient :)

I was very impressed by the flavour of the broth. I work within a 5 min walk from you guys (as a chef) and I must say that you're my absolute favourite food destination in the area. The service style, the food quality and the experience is top-notch. At the end of the day, I have to judge a ramen place on their broth quality. Very happy to give you guys 5 stars.

Great Noodle spot, specializing in chicken broth, steps to Broadview Station! A bit of a small spot, so there usually is some waiting time, although the service is pretty good. We got the Veg Gyoza to start; can't go wrong there. I got the 58°C Angus Roast Beef with Shio Light broth. The Shio Light was perfect, wasn't too overpowering and the beef complimented it well. Eating them together with the meal while it's still nice and warm was perfect. Along with the meal, we got the sake jelly shot (peach and grapefruit), which were delicious and very fun! Highly recommend a visit!
