9 Best Adults-only All-inclusive Resorts in Jamaica

"A boutique, trend-forward beachfront property located on a famed local stretch of sand, known for a laid-back vibe, strong local flavor and standout dining—restaurants include a gallery-like venue featuring Jamaican artist prints and a grill concept that cooks meats and seafood on heated rocks. Guests enjoy a rooftop pool with reggae beats, a holistic spa with subterranean plunge pools and island-inspired scrubs, and contemporary rooms that range from cabana-access units to suites with soaking tubs. Its central Montego Bay location puts guests near lively nightlife, so it’s better suited to those who want energy rather than seclusion." - Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman Lauren Dana Ellman is a New York-based writer and editor who specializes in travel, lifestyle, food, and shopping content. "At S Hotel you get the laid-back vibe of a stay in Jamaica with a bit of South Beach glitz—they even line the deck of their sleek pool with some of the island’s famous white sand. If that isn’t enough sand for your liking, the hotel also offers private access to idyllic Doctor’s Cave Beach and its gentle surf. Inside, the ocean view rooms are big enough to pass for apartments in some big cities. And they lay a minimalist black and white color scheme over a beachy aesthetic (think, lots of wicker furniture, including covering the bathtub) that will leave you feeling maximally relaxed. If it doesn’t, there’s always the Irie Baths and Spa, which has three underground plunge pools (hot, warm, and cold) that provide kinetic energy therapy and send you out feeling totally relaxed, in addition to the usual the massages and skin treatment options." - CNT Editors

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the S Hotel in Montego Bay Jamaica 2 times, once in February /25 for 10 days and once again for 9 days in October. We cannot say enough about this property. The location is very convenient and close to the airport (less that 10 minutes). The property itself is very chic, very clean and extremely well appointed. The equipment (loungers/ chairs etc) is all high end. The staff are extremely attentive, cheerful and genuinely interested in making your stay the best possible. Shout outs to Ann Marie (Mrs. Pryce), Marlon, Andres, Orel, Zara and so many more staff who truly made our vacations memorable. This is a smaller property (apx 110 rooms) which (for us anyway) makes it much more intimate and convenient to navigate. The restaurants and all food offerings are stellar with quality and attention to detail being paramount. The beach (Doctor's Cave) is stunning as well as the pool area and lobby. If you desire a smaller property with great ammenities and don't like a long drive after you arrive- then the S Hotel should be on your list! Returning soon! Tom & Cathy

I’ve stayed at S Hotel twice now, and both visits have been amazing. It’s such a great resort. The beach is absolutely gorgeous, the food is really good, and the overall vibe is just relaxing and fun. I’m still sad they got rid of their beef patties in the little 24hr cafe because they were so good, but everything else has still been great. They always have activities going on throughout your stay, so there’s plenty to do if you want to be active, or you can just enjoy the beautiful beach. I’ve truly enjoyed my time here on both trips and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great resort experience.

I do not typically post reviews however our experience at the S Hotel Montego Bay was remarkable. I am in the hospitality industry and travel a fair amount, so I have high standards. I conducted extensive research for our trip and selected this property because of its location on Doctor's Cave beach but most importantly, the food and service. The staff always had a smile on their face. There were a few hiccups here and there however it is to be expected. What I enjoyed the most was the intimate layout of the hotel and outlets. After reviewing massive resorts like the Hyatt, staying at 120 room property was our preferred option. I'll miss my Daily turmeric delights at the cafe with Jaedine always smiling, Roan's cocktails at the lobby bar, or Orel at the pool bar asking if I want another Ranch Water. These people care and it's very authentic. I would absolutely recommend this resort. They did change the adults only status to include children over 8, however given the time of year we traveled, there were only a few children and this was a non -issue for us. There was no reason to leave the property during our four night stay however any longer of a stay we would definitely add an excursion. When I do come back to Jamaica, I would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful vacation at S Hotel last weekend and were quickly reminded about the wonderful island of Jamaica! We have visited Montego Bay before and enjoyed the island but your hotel provided a more authentic and intimate experience than we previously had. The vibe and view walking into to the lobby was exceptional. We appreciated all of the heritage spread in artwork and statues around the hotel and loved the S Club decor. Our families had amazing accommodations and meals daily and the staff was top notch. Marlon made us feel very comfortable and was great with the kids. We spent some time on the pickleball court and attended sip and paint one of the days to get full usage of the amenities provided. S Hotel is a special experience and we loved sharing that with our kids. The meals at Rocksteady and Jamrock were top notch and the daily buffet had something for everyone while getting to try local dishes. My daughter found her new favored meal in lamb which she never had before! Thank you-our family had a vacation to remember. We will be back and experience more of what Jamaica has to offer!

The S Hotel is as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures! Even though Hurricane Melissa devastated Jamaica, the hotel has done an exceptional job upkeeping the property and the beach. The food is delicious, they have a full day of activities to engage in, the pool is pristine and deck options are super comfortable. There's a great fitness center and spa on the property, several restaurants, a 5th floor pool deck with a view that's unbelievable. You HAVE to find the swinging chairs on the 6th floor for a relaxing afternoon! The beach is beautiful and the ocean is so clear in Montego Bay. ||I can't say enough good things about the staff here. Everyone is kind, friendly, and exceeding helpful. If you're looking for somewhere to stay while in Jamaica, this is the place! ||Don't let the Hurricane impact scare you away. Jamaica needs tourism now more than ever and I PROMISE you won't be disappointed vacationing at the S Hotel!

Excellent resort! Still recovering from the recent hurricane but I had a great experience! Food was excellent and the staff was wonderful. Marlon the manager was amazing and took care of our big group of 18 people. I would definitely come again!

The S Hotel was amazing. From the staff to the food. I'm a talker, so I talk and joke with everyone. I never sinced a bad attitude from anyone on the staff, and I probably talked to them all. They were all nice and informative. The food was awesome and the drinks were strong. And the view, absolutely breathtaking. Live music in the evenings. If you are into culture, then this is the place for you. Amazing art and history of Jamaica bursting from the seams of this place. I would choose the S Hotel over Sandels, Beaches and Secrets resorts every time. Thanks for an amazing experience.

Hotel was great until Hurricane Melissa made landfall. Everything broke loose at that point. However, the hotel staff was EXCELLENT. They kept things rolling. Location is excellent. Very close to the airport. Food selection was amazing. Pool was great. Overall, a solid “B”
