We holidayed with my partner, our two 20-something ‘kids’ and their highly energetic grandma in tow…EVERYTHING exceeded our expectations.||The photos look wonderful, but the S Hotel is even better appointed in real life. ||Although far from large, it is, hands down, one of my favourite resort or hotel stays by far. The attention to detail was ‘par excellence’ at every level.||Some highlights - ||Ambience: Chillaxed, thoughtful, unfussy luxury.||Food: A totally delicious Jamaican buffet, with lots of other dining options, too.||Service: Effortless, attentive, and detail-oriented.||Appointment: Money was lavished where it mattered, with exquisite taste showcased throughout.||Vibe: The poolside lifestyle was probably the best of any hotel I have ever visited. As a swimmer, I am often disappointed when hotels favour squiggly, wiggly pools but the S Hotel’s pool was straight and long enough for laps but also incredibly charming too (thanks to the beautiful, spacious, red-cushioned cabanas and loungers all around it)||The pool also had stepped access along all sides, so you could step down from your lounger with ease - from any side. All of this was framed by the view of palm trees and the beach beyond—a perfect sunset vista. ||The beach itself was also beautifully furnished, with equally attentive service. I could go on, but I will instead leave you with two tips:||1. The cafe is a hidden gem…always cool, with a selection of fresh-cut sandwiches, rumballs, and freshly squeezed juices all day.||2. Take your favourite person - and a cocktail — up to the hammock chairs on the sixth floor at sunset for an experience of deep serenity, watching the sun dip into the sea.
