Excellent beer/wine selection, excellent deli, charming and eccentric mix of groceries, great seasonal produce, outdoor seating, live music and wine tasting?! I'm not sure how they've managed to pack all this into a small space but they did. To top it off they staff is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Rocket Market is a jewel in South Hill's crown.

Terrible experience. Horrible agent lack of information. I had down payment and everything. Ready to move out-of-state couldn't move out-of-state because didn't have a job in the new state. But it doesn't matter if you have a job in the new state or not. After you close, but it is required before you close the worker. They gave me his name is sal. Terrible terrible help

Locally-owned Rocket Market grocery store and fueling station is a worthy food gem destination. This soulful Spokane southhill biz serves a cornucopia of delightful fresh and dry goods coupled with stunning cheese & to-go food. There’s even a filtered water station next to a vast wall of local and imported wines making any wine sommelier smile. Front checkout counter has an alluring dessert case and high-end espresso beverages. Many local and super-local vendors such as Anvil Coffee, hand-made earrings and clothing items. Southeast side has several tables for wine tasting, or having coffee with friends. Outside - several tables for hanging out, and summer-time brings live music! High quality, mostly organic fresh fruits, vegetables, wine, beer, cheese, chocolates, desserts, flours, chips, hummus, etc…and best of all, the vibe here is friendly and super welcoming!

The best niche grocer in all of Spokane. Prices are pretty cheap in comparison to others, they offer organic and hard to find products including a wide variety of wine and craft beer. A must visit spot :)

Talk about selection! A unique gourmet store that is hidden away. Came in for some Roquefort Cheese and was shocked at the depth of their inventory.

I love everything that this corner market represents. I sure hope we see more places like Rocket Market, not less. It's gonna be tough, but truly local products and produce should In theory be cheaper than grocery store conglomerates. However, you had to pay a touch more, perhaps it's really worth it in the long run to have a small market in more neighborhood locations eh?

The rocket is my favorite place to go and hang out. It has the best pastries in town and their open mic nights are so fun! And the workers are so helpful so fun to talk to. You should definitely check this place out!

Rocket Bakery downtown is my go to for coffee and they have the best lox on a bagel in town. Their baked goods are tasty for a good price. The people are friendly and helpful. It's open with floor to ceiling windows for plenty of natural light. It's a long time Spokane favorite.

Rocket Market is your Manito Park picnic supply utopia! Incredible Bakery with fresh goods everyday. Bistro with sandwiches, pizzas, and many other cooked to order creations. There are also many other goodies to fill the basket, such as fresh fruits and veggies, cheeses and meats for a charcuterie board, and to top it off, a huge selection of wines and other drinks. This is the place! Go check it out and let me know what you think.

This place is adorable. An amazing barista from revel 77 coffee shop suggested it for me! I am a huge huge fan of chocolate. I go to the northwest chocolate festival every year. And they had chocolates in stock that I had never heard of before as well as my favorite chocolatier which is Dick Taylor Chocolate out of Humbolt county California! Their roses were nothing like I've ever seen. Lots of amazing snacks -unique and healthy! And excellent baked goods! I highly highly recommend this place! And I will be back as much as I can!

This is such a Spokane hidden gem. Drive past too quick and you just might miss it! Rocket Market is my favorite spot to grab a snack prior to watching the sunset on High Dr. Their selection of cake is definitely the best part in my opinion. It's the most fun activity to do with friends or on a day - grab a slice of cake, a bottle of wine and you're set for a great night! Their selection of specialty sauces, grocery items, and alcoholic beverages is phenomenal...you have to check this place out!

I seriously love this place. Having been in Spokane quite often lately, this is THE place I will go by default to get lunch, snacks or even the odd dinner. Rocket market is literally, where you would find the convenience part of a gas station but inside is the type of locally owned, specialty store and deli that you would expect from somewhere in the middle of a hipster area of a large metropolis. There is a very large assortment of food and products that are hard to find and a large selection of wine. Multiple times I have gone here, I usually get the Vegan Carlito burrito and a smoothie although there are a range of salads, tamales, organic chicken, etc that you could choose from. The staff are friendly, fantastic and once you order from the deli, they can bring everything to your table if you wish. Also of note, the market is in a relatively well to do area of Spokane so it's not like some truck stop in the middle of nowhere (Not that there is anything wrong with that) but if you dine outside, it's not like you'll be having a side of dust or road kill with your meal :).

We love being in walking distance from Rocket Market. They seem to have all those things that you need last minute. They have delicious sandwiches in their deli that are perfect for picnics or to take along on the boat. I love that they have local organic produce, and that all their produce is labeled so you know if it's organic, local, conventional etc. They have a stacked baked goods and cake case. It's always hard to leave without taking something sweet home. Their wine and beer selection is great for such a small market. They have a wine club you can join an an extensively curated selection of great wine. I went to one of their Friday night wine tastings and had a great time. I would highly suggest taking a Lyft home...their pours are generous. I learned a lot from the knowledgeable beer and wine guy. They also have live music a really nice outdoor seating area. We Rocket Market!

Been here a few times for small event gatherings. Quite enjoy the little space for small events. It's quaint. They have huge selection of wines, beer and food. Was here once for a late night concert. Had a blast. Now let's get to what I'm good at. I realize that the weather can never seem to make up its mind...but. At the least they could clean up the patio. Seriously. It's summer...ish. The patio looks like someone backyard patio. Broken @$$ tables, moss and debris all over. Get a broom. This is a great neighborhood location for meeting up with friends or having a glass of wine solo. It has potential for more and better setup. Guess I'll have to sit back and wait.

This is still the cutest hole in the wall find for me so far in Spokane! Never would have thought such a unique, local market could be attached to a gas station. They have everything from wine to vegan groceries to a delicious looking deli case. The real star though is still their bakery case. I still stop by here at least once or twice a month to pick up a slice of cake or ginger pumpkin bread. The pastries/desserts are always a very generous size and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend treating yourself to a giant slice of carrot cake or thick piece of banana bread next time you're at rocket!

Okay. I'll start by saying I love this stores food. The service however is the absolute worst lately. The employees who Check you out at the front counter are just plain rude. The past 3 times I've been there. It baffles me how people who are in customer service can be so downright terrible to paying customers. I'm always friendly and I always tip. Even when I'm just paying for a cookie that I picked out off the shelf. You really need to invest in more friendly staff. And half the time they look like they just rolled out of bed. There is one woman there in particular who is awful. It's getting to the point where I don't think I'll return. For the price of your items, the terrible customer service isn't worth it! Also want to mention that there was broken glass on the floor one evening and when I brought it to the guys attention.. his response "well I got busy and had to help Customers" ummmm, you cannot leave broken glass all over the floor. It's a liability. Customers would easily understand and happily wait for you to pick it up. It wasn't just a little glass. It was a lot!

Sure there's great coffee and bakery bliss that we've come to expect from the well established local Rocket empire, but here at the corner of Hatch & 43rd you'll also find a bounty of fresh & organic produce, unique grocery finds & culinary delights, affordable fresh flowers, and one of the best wine selections in town. The newly opened Jupiter Bistro, located within the market offers some marvelous meals with the return to the South Hill of former Luna chef, Shilo Pierce. Gourmet sandwiches, creative salads and homemade soups make us want to re-do lunch and pick up gourmet-to-go for dinner. Wildly popular weekly wine classes from resident wine enthusiast Carl Carlsteen and the highly anticipated summer concert series make us want to move within walking distance. for What's happening at the market check the website for additions and changes. Reservations are requested. The now legendary Rocket Market wine classes are every Friday at 7pm led by Carlsteen. Our favorite re-accruing class is Carl's Picks. The Rocket Market is presented dozens of new wines every month in an effort to be added to the impressive wine selection. As the website boasts, Carlsteen carefully samples every one (damn his lot in life!) in order to determine which ones will make the cut. Carlsteen chooses the wine for his "Picks" class, and you get to try them, which sounds more than fair to us. Notice the handwritten cards below each wine for sale at the Rocket Market with his personal tasting notes, reassuring you it's been personally tried and is recommended. No passport required, but reservations are requested. March classes range from $16 to $25 and include 8 wines. I recently went to the market and here's our recommendations. It was hard to choose just a few with the freshly baked artisan breads, bookcase of unique organic chocolates, and decadent desserts tempting me right by the register. Here's some things to check out on your next visit: *Dillante chocolate mocha with fresh sliced orange rind *Thick cut ham, brie, green apple grilled panini from Jupiter Bistro *Carl's best wine under $10 shelf for making your house wine special. *Nutty strawberry salad from Jupiter Bistro *Knipprath Chocolate Port *Imagine brand Creamy Butternut Squash soup (which we added some ground curry to) *Lemon poppy seed bread or the infamous "Pink " cookie.

I enjoy going to the rocket and getting local treats, however some of their employees are rude and do not follow proper food handling guidelines. There is one employee in specific with long colored hair, it was blue this time but last time it was pink. She has her hair below her shoulders touching the cakes, and she regularly rings my food up incorrectly and I have to correct her, otherwise she charges me for it. Sometimes when I ask her to fix the price because it's labeled differently, she doesn't do it because she thinks that she's right. She is rude and also has her hair and sleeves touching food in the case. It's unsanitary. However there are a lot of fun things that I recommend checking out.

I love the iced coffee, and the produce and the soup , and the staff is new (2023) so all those silly reviews about apparent " rudeness" are outdated opinions from the Entitled. They have probably only come once, and formed a poor opinion.Sad to see people vent on employees-Working ( like today, a holiday!) and trying to get everyone what they want.Meanwhile, these same customers don't stay INSIDE the roped area during concerts, with their alcohol, and leave messes for others to clean up. Your dear mother doesn't work here-- but these 2023 employees ARE Kind and diligent, and doing their best . I love the summer concerts, and The Rocket Market is a very high profile place to play---NOT everyone is asked---or--- Asked back. ........The Rocket Market is a gem on 726 East 43rd, and we are lucky to have such beauty, in summer, particularly, when The Green and The Music are Just magical! The concerts Must end at 9 PM, because the city is always watching for any irregularities. So. We start at 7, and end at 9, applauding the night's music....In years past, we could go on 'til 10 PM.. but we have fought off 2 Entitled attempts to stop all music--- and or/ end the business. When people saw the crowd-funded $$$ in Support of the Rocket? The complaints, ceased. Now, if everyone follows The Golden Rule? By the outside, you'd see this place as any other gas station, but then you walk inside and see the greatest, little, all-natural market and bistro. They have a large emphasis on stocking locally sourced products, which I love. The bistro inside is called Jupiter Bistro, and has some delicious and healthy meal options. Shiloh is the head chef for the bistro and creates wonderful quiche, salads, paninis and soups. Each day there are 3 soup options to choose from (look up rocketmarket on FB for their daily soups). The spicy sausage and kale soup is the best and the chicken and Dijon panini is a beautiful creation of flavors (dip it in some balsamic!) If you're into wine, oh boy do they have some good and reasonably priced wines. Matt the wine guy picks out incredible wines and hosts wine night every Friday. It's such a good and fun learning night! Speaking of drinks, they also have a very good beer selection with 4 beers on tap and local kombucha on tap, as well. Oh yeah, and you can get your gas here too :)

Moving.. hence no cooking.. needed gas so I thought I'd hit both!! I love the small dishes the quaint (slightly overpriced) deli offers. Deli was filled with carbs galore..only dinner item was Coffee-BBQ-chicken.. really?? At night coffee?? Settled on ham quiche & chicken noodle soup-- clearly no culinary school here.. giant noodles should have been prepared extremely aldente since they sit in hot soup all day.. but we're mush .. way too many types and too much spices.. carrots were great rather aldente but unfortunately the soup didn't work -- For dessert I opted for the carrot cake-- great for frosting lovers :-(( get rid of half the frosting.. add some raisins and walnuts..& real shredded carrots.. Pa---LEEZE!! Gas was the highest in town at $3.29 a gallon.. when a business is injured due to construction -- LOWER your prices to lure everyone in-- NOT RAISE YOUR PRICES!! Last dinner before a 2-day road trip--DISAPPOINTED!!

I absolutely love this place for so many reasons. I was fortunate to find some key ingredients that I forgot for Christmas dinner....on Christmas Day! So surprised they were open for a few hours on Christmas, but they saved my day. The 3 stars are for their bakery items. This store originated from a bakery (Rocket Bakery) and their items were fantastic. As the years went by, they started bringing in local items from different bakeries around town with some fantastic choices. For the last several years, they have stopped that and are almost exclusively sourcing Sweet Street from their wholesaler. It looks great, but tastes like wax. Absolutely awful! I have talked to them about it on numerous occasions and they say that they sell a ton of it. That may be because that's all that there is in this great neighborhood. I kick myself frequently for not taking the extra 5 minutes to go down the hill to Huckleberry's to get their fantastic baked goods that are sourced from tasty local bakeries. Please go back to your roots as a bakery and make your own, or source from local bakeries, rather than serving up the terrible Sweet Street items from your grocery wholesaler.

I stopped for gas and was delighted to see the mask sign off the door. Went in for a few things, saw the owner and all employees, smiling without masks. KUDOS to the owners for supporting this liberty for their workers! I have found other places not so inclined, and I think it is a real shame, and have chosen to go elsewhere.. Some of us will choose to mask, or vaccinate for our own protection, but personal liberty must be upheld if we want to keep our freedom. I WILL be back to Rocket as much as possible, and tell others they don't have to drive to CDA to breathe without shame or get great stuff:)

I love this boutique grocery. If I lived closer I would be here all the time. They have local Purdue at fabulous prices! Plus this should be your go-to spot for any hard to find, unique, organic ingredients. It's a tiny shop so I enjoy it more if I leave the littles at home and have time to shuffle the micro-sized aisles by myself. As an added perk they have a great dessert case and I rarely leave without a slice of some treat to enjoy later.

This is definitely the place to go for all your specialty grocery needs! Small but packed full of local, natural products, if you're looking for something you can't find anywhere else, there's a good chance it's here! It's a vegan haven - they carry Miyoko's cheese (!) among many other great finds. It is a little pricey but no more so than any other locally-owned specialty business. They have a bistro here which I have not ordered from despite visiting multiple times. But it's on my list! They also sell/serve goodies from the Rocket Bakery and Boots Bakery! Also worth mentioning is the impressive selection of wine and beer. I love this place! If you're on or nearby the South Hill, stop by and support them. You won't be disappointed.

I love going to this place, and my boyfriend and I have recently visited on a weekly basis to have drinks on the patio. My friend and I also frequent there, and today they refused to serve her with her vertical ID despite it being valid and her being almost 23 years old. The frustrating part is the inconsistency, as I have taken her there a dozen times and they haven't had a problem until today.They were pretty rude, and didn't even go through the proper checks to make sure it was valid and have no idea about ABRA code regarding what is a proper identification. Bummer, time to find a new go to!

Alright, I'm fully obsessed with this place. Amazing food in their deli case (try the vegan breakfast burrito, spicy that will wake you up and satiate your morning hanger), great selection of beer and wine, a variety of hard to find specialty goods like vegan cheese, unique grains, etc. Love that they have good coffee and baked goods from other bakeries. Every meal you need to get through your whole damn day! The employees are friendly and helpful too.

A delightful place to shop, eat, and relax! I love taking out-of-town visitors here, because it's a fun setting that also delivers high-quality food and some interesting gifts and goods. The baked goods are brought in daily, and the hot food is prepared on-site. The beer and wine selection is top-notch, and I have also been impressed with the price and quality of their groceries. A cant-miss!

I discovered Rocket Market roughly a year ago -- about 2 weeks before I had to move to Seattle. It was always a disappointment of mine that I didn't happen upon this place sooner because it is just that awesome. First off -- don't be confused when you see the Conoco sign. Yes, it is a gas station. BUT! But...it is so so sooo much more. Inside you have a lovely little market packed full of local produce, baked goods, & coffee. Obviously this place sells Rocket bakery goodies -- but they have other people bringing their sugary goodness in to tempt you with offerings of cheesecake, nanaimo bars, caramels, tiramisu, cookies, etc. You get the picture. You also have your organic foods to purchase -- frozen, boxed, shrink wrapped. Add all the yummy produce from local farmers and you have a miniature hippy's dream here. Next comes my favorite part -- the beer case. A giant wall chock full of mostly local, but some other regional/national beers as well. Empty 6 pack cases await you and you can build the 6-pack of your dreams! And usually end up not spending that much -- cuz the prices on said beers are insanely good. If beer isn't your thing tons of local wines are available too. The people who work here are always cheerful and helpful if you can't find anything. I miss this joint. It was great coming back -- and when im in town i'll be sure to continuing visiting.

This tiny oasis of foodie heaven is in danger. All the wretched construction on South Hill, which makes each summer a personal driving hell, has impacted this small market, and reduced access. Yes, it's great to live somewhere that the massive government bureaucracy actually fixes infrastructure before something dire (unlike, say, California) but not at the expense of an indie business that offers so much. If this place were in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, I wouldn't worry about its salvation. But it's not. I have been hard-pressed to find anything similar between Issaquah and Coeur d'Alene.* The combination of gourmet, locally-produced and healthy-organic foods is only rivaled by Huckleberry's, but the prices are similar (and sometimes lower) than Huckleberry's, and honestly, there are a great many things I can only find at Rocket Market. All the other reviews have spelled it out concerning the beer/wine selection, the deli, the chocolate selection, the produce and the array of product stocked on the shelves. Yes, it is quality. Yes, the people are friendly and helpful. I had a long conversation around 11pm one night with a cashier who had been punk in Oakland back in the day. There have been concerts in the parking lot. I watched, during the holiday season, as they'd close up the cafe section to host a formal holiday party in the evening. I hear great things about the wine (I stopped drinking during medical treatment) and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal or bought an inferior product. Don't dismiss this place as merely a gas station. It's a neighborhood institution -- I drive all the way across South Hill in the dead of winter to get ice cream here. (Ruby Jewel ice cream sandwiches from Portland, Talenti ice cream bars which I haven't even seen at Whole Foods, and Three Twins Ice Cream from SF - which I used to get at the Fillmore store.) *There's a review from someone who claims he's "lived in large cities with many stores like this, but [he] didn't find it all that special." Okay, this is NOT Seattle, so no, there aren't other stores like this within a two hundred mile radius. I've checked. This same person whines in another review about a waiter not fawning over him at a $120 lunch in Malibu. Seriously? Douche.

I love: -that you can get miso paste, blood orange sorbet, baked goods, wine, and decent guacamole -the vibe -the little dude who works the counter at night (he's such a nice boy!) -the free wi-fi -the tucked-away location near the end of High Drive I dislike: -the snobby chicks who work during the day ... one of them made a bitchy comment when I took my niece (3 years old) and ex's son (8 years old) in during lunchtime ... apparently we were making too much noise and didn't leave the tables spotless. whatevs! -it's too cold in the seating area during the winter -the coffee is really gross. dudes, get doma already, k?

Love this south hill treasure. Such a fun spot! The pastries are absolutely delicious. The outdoor music is awesome at times and is such a quaint atmosphere. It's like a boutique little grocery store. I have a slight obsession with kombucha and am so happy they have it here. Such a great selection of authenticity.

I loved the review that says this awesome little place is "a return of the corner store only better." Couldn't agree more. Yes, this is a gas station, but it's so SO much more. Never have I seen a gas station boast such an impressive selection of craft beer - they even have four tap handles! Does your corner gas station offer gourmet food, cheese, meats & incredibly delicious and fanciful baked goods, as well as an array of fresh, organic fruits & veggies and beautiful fresh-cut flower arrangements? This one does. It's difficult to state what part of this store I love best - the deli with its impressive selection of gourmet sammies & soup (try the ham, brie and apple panini, the ginger carrot soup, or the world peas with cheese curds, what a taste revelation); the rows upon rows of wine; or maybe the area offering soy candles, fancy chocolate bars, unusual condiments & spice rubs. Hmmm. It's a tough call, but I'm going to have to pick the area offering beer as my favorite part of the store. Amazing, outstanding, brilliant craft beers, as far as the eye can see. And did you know you can have them open your selection for you, and you can drink it right there in the little café while you're eating a speciality food selection from their gourmet deli? Why yes, yes you can. Wheeeee! Gas station. Pffbt. More like a little piece of food & drink Nirvana, nestled right there on a neighborhood corner. A small market of epic proportions indeed!

I used to come here often when I lived on the south hill. The market has a great selection of cheeses, wines, organic groceries, and beer. They also have a deli full of sandwiches, quiche, salads and similar items. I am in love with the vegan chorizo breakfast burrito.. seriously delicious and I'm not vegan! This is a great little place on the south hill, a must visit for anyone in Spokane.

And like just like that, a regular customer is born... had my husband swing in to the parking lot so I could jump out to use the restroom. Well they took 20 mins! This store is amazing there healthy selections. Never thought a little neighborhood corner "gas station" would be a new go to for my hard to find paleo options. Don't live in the area but will definitely drive across town to not only support local, but local that believes a healthy lifestyle change is the best option! Oh, and wine!

I envision this is how trader Joes began. Trader Joes was originally a competitor with 7-11 but was losing money. So it stopped carrying slushys and started carrying specialty items. Rocket Market is like that a little bit. It is still a gas station, but more than that it is a miniaturized version of Huckleberry's. It has a coffee bar and food. It has extensive beers, produce, and specialty organic food stuffs and seasonal outdoor seating... If more corner stores would be like Rocket, they would be considered community assets, like the Rocket. PS - It is true the beers are $$ but where else is the Ten-fidy Stout?

One of my favorite places on the south hill! Lots of obscure foods and local produce. 4 rotating taps and $2 pints on Wednesday. Local music on Tuesday and wine classes every Friday something for everyone!

I was told this was the one safe spot in Spokane, and yet there was a customer inside with their mask pulled down. I also tried to purchase some wine, and I was denied because my ID is vertical. They said they don't accept vertical IDs, even though I am 21. Horizontal IDs are not even made anymore, so this is an outdated policy. 21 and 22 year olds have vertical IDs now, and if I'm of age I am legally allowed to purchase alcohol. Rocket Market is a South Hill one stop shop for food, wine, desserts, gifts, and even gas. They have kombucha on tap, a yummy deli, fresh veggies, artisan breads, etc. I enjoy the flower selection here so much that I hired the owner to do my wedding flowers. There is plenty of seating if you want to do some studying or a coffee date here. It is packed to the gills with healthy, gourmet, and organic products so don't bring your double stroller and expect to make it through the aisles. Stop by during the construction--they are still open!

Love this place! My husband and I, ride out here on our motorcycles to get lunch, my favorite is the curry pea's, his is the Carlito burrito with vegan sour cream. Wine tasting are a blast, with great instructions on pairing with cheese. There is also a wine of the month club too!

This is such a cool place. When I come to Spokane, I know I can rely on visiting here at least three times and I look forward to it. I feel the awesome beer and wine selection alone makes it worth 5 stars. However the other offerings solidifies it's 5 stars in my book. Their bakery items are very good; from breakfast items to desserts. Also, I am always happy with their produce. All told, I really like this place and wish I had something like this in Utah.

I really like this place!!! There's nothing else like it around Spokane. Basically, Rocket Market is a gas station & market and also a café. They have baked goods from Boots, coffee & other drinks, as well as amazing soups and sandwiches. I took off a star because everything is slightly overpriced and I did not care for their coffee. Service is always amazing and I highly recommend any of their sandwiches. I usually get the white cheddar & pesto but I tried their fig sandwich on pita bread the other day... heavenly!

This is my favorite place in Spokane to grab a bite. Their Carlitos burrito is AMAZING and they always have such hearty homemade soups. All their food and even salads are so well made with quality ingredients and perfect flavors. I could eat there every day!

This place is a crazy mixture of deli, flower shop, wine store, organic market, gas station and just general haven from the bustle of Spokane. Tucked up in the south hill area of Spokane, this spot is where I go when I need a quiet place and a tasty sandwich. They have a great little sunroom where, once you order your sandwich at the counter, they bring it out to you. You can also grab a bottle of wine and sit, sip, and people watch. Every neighborhood should be so lucky as to have a gem like this place.

Eat at Rocket and get gas. Hahahaha. Kidding aside, this is one of the best places in Spokane. I love the wine guy, the wine selections, the atmosphere, the selection of produce and the way everything is beautifully lighted. That said, there are some things they could....stand to improve. For one, there is one female employee in particular who wears men's Obsession cologne, and she wears so damn much of it, you can taste it. I hope she is never working there on a night when they have a wine event. That much fragrance is NEVER appropriate when you are working around food. Also, the coffee bar area does not look clean.

Must have dessert..... Any ;) Mmmm Wonderful beer & wine selection. Friendly Staff. Food, produce, olive oil selection - great! The deli food is amazing too! I go weekly!
