"Across New Zealand you'll find weekend farmers' markets packed with vendors of artisanal products and organic fruit and vegetables, as well as innovative food trucks providing tasty options for breakfast or lunch. Held in the leafy surrounds of Christchurch's historic Riccarton House, this Saturday-morning institution attracts gourmands from across the city. For travelers, it's a great place to try cheese and salmon from around the South Island, sample craft beer from local breweries, and stock up on baked goods for on-the-road picnics. Must-visit stalls include Sausage Sisters (for hearty pork-and-apple-sausage rolls) and Utopia Hot (for freshly baked waffles with seasonal fruit)."

Christchurch Farmers Market is such a vibrant and lively spot! It’s full of fresh produce, tasty street food, crafts, and unique local products. The atmosphere is bustling but welcoming, with friendly stallholders and lots to explore. Perfect for a weekend stroll, grabbing a snack, and supporting local businesses. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Christchurch! 🥕🍪🛍️✨

Really enjoyed a leisurely walk and brunch at the Saturday Farmers Market. A wide range of fresh food, tasty food treats and drink stalls. Parking is limited close by but ample within a 10 minute walk.

Saturday morning visit to the Farmers Market at Deans Bush Riccaton. Parking is a premium so I would suggest going early A good range of local produce. A great spring day with lots of people enjoying coffee and yummy food on the grass watching the ducks float past.

A cozy and charming local market where you can enjoy delicious coffee and bread, as well as find fresh eggs and simple vegetables.

Fabulous markets in idyllic location. There was so much wonderful food to choose from and the park was beautiful. The only downfall was one coffee vendor, and the wait was ridiculously long.

Beautiful setting for a real foodies farmers market. Portable cash machines on site, as whilst many stalls take plastic/pay wave this is still really a good old fashioned 'cash is king' style market! Highlights have to be: Robinson's Bay olive oil, the flavoured ones are interesting, but the pure is just so delightful you need to try the whole selection before choosing! and Wia Ora Wildflower honey.. Warning though, the market closes at 12 noon..sharp! For some reason, the city council have tightened the rules!

We loved to have breakfast here on Saturday morning. We have bekkers steak sandwich, which is very good. Poms rice noodle soup is delicious. The cakes and pastries of peebles are also very good as well.

Easy to get around. Plenty to look at and food/drinks to sample and buy. Everything from produce to flowers to pies to steak sandwiches. Theirs something for everyone. No dogs allowed sadly! However plenty of treats to buy for your furry friends.

Yelp
If you're in Christchurch on a day the market is open, I highly recommend stopping by. Situated in a beautiful park, the market is a great place to walk around. The day we were there, there were lots of vendors selling fresh produce, baked goods, and a host of international foods. We opted for dumplings from one stand, okanimayaki pancakes, and a koran garlic buttter knot. The only drawbacks are that the vendors are placed along a narrow and winding driveway that gets very congested when the market is busy. There's also only one cafe (coffee stand) and the line is very long.

Yelp
What a lovely farmer's market which has been in existence for about 15 years. All locally sourced produce, foods, soaps, fragrances and prepared foods. The market is located on the grounds of Riccarton House, featuring Hummingbord coffee and live music. It is available every Saturday morning. The raw juice bar was fabulous, as was the stand selling lavender lotions.
