After church on Sunday with my wifey and she wanted Mexican food so we decided why not go here?
A little dude note if your heading to this restaurant going on I-10 west, do not use Siri for directions! Unless you like traveling through side neighborhoods with lots of children playing in the streets, going through tons of stop signs and having to be careful not too run over any stray dogs! All you need to do is exit to the feeder and make a uturn under the freeway, sure it's 100 feet longer than siris directions but come on man!
Ok sorry about that tangent, let's get back to the review! So we sat siren and wanted queso, and the waiter asked do you want the white or the yellow? Not being used to two different colored queso's we said just give us both. We couldn't really taste a difference, but I'm old school and I only tried the yellow queso. But word around the table is both were good. I decided to order the Shrimp Avocado Relleno, but sub grilled chicken for the shrimp. Having never ordered this before I wasn't sure what to expect. When it came out it kinda looked like vomit on a plate with colored tortilla strips placed on top, and I was a little scared to try it. (see picture-sometimes it's better to eat with your eyes closed) I did because who's not hungry Sunday afternoon after church and I must admit it tasted a lot better than it looked. It also comes with a Tex-Mex orzo salad, which is some kind of really small cold salad with a couple pieces of spinach on the side. It looked pretty and tasted good, but word Of advice, eat this quickly and get back to your main dish, or you will find the melted cheese from the avocado relleno starts to harden back to the plate and makes this dish hard to eat. I've heard their line fajita beef is pretty good, so if I ever come back I may have to try that.
