"The waters surrounding Bequia beckon scuba divers with everything from brilliant sponges, colorful fish, and deep-water corals to shallow reefs, sheer walls, caverns, holes, and wrecks. While the area is home to 30 or so easily accessible diving sites, you should head to the designated marine park, which occupies seven miles along Bequia’s leeward coast. Family-run outfitter Dive Bequia (located on Belmont Walkway in Port Elizabeth) offers three dive trips to the park each day, along with instruction, certification, and rental gear. Divers must be at least 8 years old, but snorkelers of all ages are welcome as well."

My crew had three divers and three snorkelers. The team at Dive Bequia were very friendly and warm. They answered our questions and led an excellent dive. My experience with Dive Bequia was fantastic! From scheduling to planning to diving, the team was professional and very responsive to my needs and questions. I dove with Kalle who is an excellent and very experienced dive master. He knew exactly where to go and how to manage the currents. The reefs around Bequia are beautiful and teeming with life. A highlight for me was seeing a school of squid.

Two great dives with Max on 3/27/25! He chose great dive sites for the group we had, and expertly led the dive. Loved the slow relaxed pace. The spotted eagle ray that cruised through was a treat. Max pointed out two different sea horses which are always a bonus. The dive shop, communication on email, equipment, and professionalism really stand out at Dive Bequia. I whole heartedly recommend!

Our group had a FABULOUS TIME SCUBA diving with Dive Bequia! We found them to be safety conscience as well as lots and lots of fun, no matter which dive master was with us. All the staff here are very knowledgeable and eager for guests to enjoy Bequia's beautiful waters! Dive Bequia is a well established dive shop and a good place for all levels of divers. They also train new divers too, in case you are considering getting certified, this is the place to do it! Their boats are extremely comfortable and spacious with an easy to climb ladder to get back aboard the boat. They have a large platform at the back of the boat so one can enter the water with a backroll or a giant stride entry. The ladder has handles on both sides all the way up, which is a great plus. They'll set up the gear, assist before and after the dives and even wash your gear for those who bring their own diving equipment. They have new top of the line rental equipment in all sizes. Can't say enough how wonderful it is to be diving with Dive Bequia. They are a terrific dive shop and really do a fine job on all counts. Oh, and the pricing is very reasonable too. Try them out, you will be delighted!

I had a great diving experience with Dive Bequia, especially with Cathy, my instructor/guide for the day! I’m newly certified so she took care of me and guided me to have an amazing time! We got to see a lot of different varieties of fish, a sea turtle, different kinds of eels, and an eagle ray!! Thank you and I’ll definitely will dive with Dive Bequia again!
