Very charming shop that sells refreshing Sugarcane beverages & hot fresh dessert waffles, all made to order! My go-to is the sugarcane drink with fresh coconut meat, and the Pandan/Taro waffles! This place is a must if you’re in Chinatown on a hot afternoon in Houaton, and don’t forget to get a stamp card for each visit!

Sugar cane juice is always good, but I love that this spot has different flavors. My husband and I shared: - Passion Fruit Sugarcane Drink - Mama Mía Special Sugarcane Drink - Multi Mochi Waffle (Pandan, Taro, Durian) The passion fruit one was my favorite. I loved the flavor combination. The special seemed like regular juice with fruit in it and was hard to drink since the fruit didn't fit through the straw. The mochi waffle was delicious. The Pandan was my favorite flavor.

Move over milk tea. This is the new drink of the town. The drinks are expensive. We get the special and it costs about $8, but it's oh so worth it. The fresh sugar cane juice combined with the fresh fruit are so refreshing on a hot Houston day. The coconut jelly on top is an extra special touch. I could easily eat a dozen of those. Mama Mia is a definite must try, and we will continue to stop by.

Found this place for sugarcane drinks and it reminds me of when I went to Vietnam! I've been here twice two days in a row! First time I came I got the coconut meat and sugarcane juice with a pandan waffle. The waffle didn't have much of a pandan flavor, but the consistency was chewy and crispy and the chunks of coconut was a surprise. The coconut sugarcane drink was very refreshing! The second time I got the passion fruit kumquat sugarcane juice. Sweeter than the coconut one but it was still good! I'd definitely come back to get a refreshing drink, but as for waffles, I have another place that I love for the waffles!

The inside decor was so cute and aesthetic! They really put a lot of emphasis on the sugarcane theme within their store, which is a great thing. The service was okay. I had ordered a large Mama Mia Special ($7.85) and my other family member ordered a large Fresh Coconut Juice ($7.39) and a Durian Waffle ($4.62). To start off, the Fresh Coconut Juice tasted perfect! According to my family member, the taste was not overly sweet, as it has a fresh taste. The Durian Waffle was also made perfectly! The outside was crunchy, but the inside was so soft with durian fillings. The waffle was not overly sweet and tasted awesome. As for the Mama Mia Special, the taste was good and they already added plenty of tasty toppings in the drink such as coconut meat, pineapple, strawberry, and chia seeds. Coconut juice was added in the drink with the sugarcane juice, which was interesting. The downside was that they added too much ice in their drinks, which made me feel like they cheated us with the sizing because of that. Also, the price was a bit high for the Fresh Coconut Juice. There was no toppings in it; only juice. Because of that; I expected it to be around $4 or $5 maximum. In fact, every juice drink on the menu was really pricy. If they include toppings in the drink already, then I would understand, but toppings cost extra excluding the Mama Mia Special. If it wasn't for the downsides, I would rate it a full 5 stars. Overall, I would still come back if I'm in the area, but only at a special time because of the price. I would definitely ask them to put less ice next time as well.

So I haven't tried their drinks yet, but I had to leave a review for their pandan coconut waffles. I'm obsessed with anything pandan, so when I found out they had them, I had to stop by. This is my third time now, and they've been amazing every time. The waffle is like a perfect mix between a pancake and a waffle. Crispy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. It's made fresh and served warm, and the flavor is spot on. It's slightly sweet with that rich coconut and pandan taste that just works. They also have other flavors like durian and taro if you're into trying something different. I'll definitely be back to try the drinks, but honestly, these waffles alone are worth the trip.

Highlight: Sugarcane ($6.00) I've been coming to this location for at least 4 years now and the quality has been consistent and tasty. This past week for the 3 different times I have visited, the drink tasted more on the thicker side like the cane might have been too ripe with a hint of saltiness. Though this didn't meet my expectations, I am open to giving it another try in the future. Hospitality: Fast service, got my drink within minutes of ordering. Honorable Mention: Cute and small shop with great wallpapers for photo opportunities.

Absolutely refreshing. A 12 oz sugar cane juice for $6. Totally worth it. It was sweet and had a lot of ice so dint drink it too quickly so the ice can blend with the juice. Definitely worth a stop.

The Vietnamese community in Houston is so significant that there are multiple places that serve nuoc mia, a sugar cane drink usually served over ice. One of the most popular destinations is Mama Mia, who saw an opportunity and ran with it. Through many visits, it has become a go-to destination for whenever I'm Bellaire Asiatown. I appreciate that this location is bright, clean and inviting enough to have a local crowd here at all hours. There's parking a plenty, clean bathrooms, and a simple menu consisting of multiple combinations of sugarcane juice and different mochi waffle combinations. The drinks don't come cheap, as many of them are in the $7 range, but they're all satisfying and a quality beverage to quell the Houston heat. Additionally, I appreciate the staff. They've rarely steered me wrong and have been giving off the family-operated vibes as long as I've come here. Their extraction of the sugar cane takes a bit of time, since everything is made from scratch. Almost all flavors I've had from kumquat to coconut have been refreshing, but I have a particular love for their pennywort and salted lime (chanh muoi) sugar cane drink. Their most expensive drink ($8 for small, $9 for large) is the Mama Mia Special, which includes all the fruits. It's hefty and requires a spoon to get all the fruit bits out. It's a bit of a meal and fun for others who enjoy the scoop and sip experience, but I'm one to stick to something simple. The regular nuoc mia is basic, but still ends up being my overall favorite for its simplicity and sweet notes. Whether one is new to the the sugarcane experience or a seasoned vet with the nuoc mia life, Mama Mia is definitely worth a visit and the subsequent sugar rush. This has been my normal go to place for sugar cane juice for the past few years. Normally it's 5 star every time. This time it has gone down hill. My large sugar cane with was sweet but also salty. At one point while making our drinks the young man making the sugar cane had his ungloved hand in the machine unclogging it, shoving it into the trash can and then proceed to return handling and pressing our sugar cane. No he did not wash his hands. The level of hygiene is bit concerning.

The sugarcane was interesting, not very sweet and tasted a bit salty. The store was very nice, clean and the service was good! I think they may have just had a bad batch of sugarcane when I came in.

Love their huge and chewy waffles! It is what's calling me to come back. I've always ordered the combo one that has durian, taro, and pandan so I can eat a bit of every flavor. Even though they raised the price a little but for the size of the waffle I got, I think it's still really good and worth. Waffle is not too sweet, the flavors are light but they got coconut bits mixed so I love that. A really cute and clean shop, workers are really friendly, may not able to speak english fluently but just point at the menu and smile and nod haha.

The sugarcane here is sooo good, fresh, and clean! I'm from out of town and went back to this shop almost everyday that I was in Houston. I had the regular sugar cane, kumquat, and coconut. Out of the three, my favorite was the coconut. It had a nice balance of both sugarcane and coconut juice.

I love this place!!! The Coco Mia is my all time fav. The drinks are made fresh to order and are quick to come out as well!! The service is always so nice to us. Welcoming ambiance!

Incredibly fresh and refreshing sugar cane juice!! Although it took about 20 minutes to receive our order, the outcome was worth the wait. I got the plain sugar cane juice had a bite of their pandan waffle. The waffle had a doughy center like it was still underbaked but that's just the texture of it. Pretty good waffle too!

Hi there, Mama Mia! It is my first time trying Mama Mia this weekend in Bellaire and wow, I am hooked. I love sugar cane drinks (so much passion for it) and this is definitely the place to go to in the Houston area. In this trip we got OG Mia, coconut, and the classic Mia. My favorite is OG as it has the kumquat flavor. We also ordered the pandan, taro, and durian waffles (however it was not pictured as my crew ate it so fast). The ambiance was super cute and service is quick and friendly. Don't walk, run here for a refreshing drink that will rock your socks!

So refreshing! I got the coconut sugar cane drink (8/10) : good flavor, but coconut squares were a little too hard and dry for my taste. My bf got a kumquat sugar cane drink. That doesn't sound appetizing at all, but they said it was their best seller so we tried it and ITS SOO GOOD. it taste like a limeade. Super refreshing. 10/10 Try the KUMQUAT

Sugarcane is probably my favorite drink of all time! Until today, nothing in America has surpassed the taste from the motherland. However, a lot of places does bring a good enough flavor for my cravings. This location is like many others. Here you can order just plain sugarcane as a starter and can add kumquat (extra$$) for the better taste. I know some people like it plain, some with coconut, others with different infusion. However, for me, the original which is sugarcane with kumquat squeezed in between is still the best! Some places will add the kumquat as a canned/bottled but some real place will place the whole kumquat in the sugarcane while it squeezes though. The second way is of course the traditional and my favorite! Not sure how this place does it since I didn't get to watch it up close. Nonetheless, it's good enough to quench your cravings and there are other drinks as well if someone doesn't like sugarcane.

Located in a not so busy plaza. I was craving some nuoc mia (sugar cane) drink. I heard good things about this place. When we arrived, there were only 2 guys working. I can see that the nuoc mia is made fresh. I ordered the large Nuoc mia less ice. My mom got the Rau mia large no ice. Like any other places, if you modify your ice level the drink will come out funny looking. It was sooo good and quite refreshing! Polite and fast service. Also, there was a cute tall guy working there . I would come back!

Popped in for some sugarcane drinks. I tried the ginger lime sugarcane drink, and my partner went for the passion fruit version. We also had the pandon coconut waffle and taro waffle. Both had a touch of coconut and for those who aren't a fan of coconut, I promise it does not over power the flavors. The music was a great touch to the place, and the drinks were refreshing.

Super fresh sugarcane drinks! They grind it fresh for each customer, and it is worth the wait. I got the pandan waffle, which has shredded coconut flakes inside - so good! I loved the chewy mochi texture of the waffle, and it is not too sweet.

OG Mia ($6.25 for large) and Pandan/Durian Waffle: OG Mia is kumquat + sugarcane! Super refreshing and not suuuuper sweet. On the menu the waffles they offer are single flavor (Durian, Pandan, Taro) or all three in one. I don't like Taro so we asked if we could only have Durian + Pandan and they let us. It was yummy! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. There were little pieces of durian inside the waffle. The shop was busy. Guess it's a popular place especially in Texas humid heat. It took 5-10 minutes for them to prepare the waffle. Would recommend for a quick snack!

Mama Mía is always one of my must stop spots whenever I visit Houston. The sugarcane flavor here just hit different. As personal experience, I feel like they don't put a lot of ice into the drinks like other places.

Received a recommendation by a local houstonian to try mama mía for sugar cane juice. I ordered the sugar cane with pandan leaves, which was very refreshing! A tip is to not order the coconut juice because it doesn't seem fresh and they charge an additional dollar. I was disappointed to see them scooping out the coconut meat from the fridge, and assumed it was a fresh coconut. Service was a little slow but I think it's just important to be patient because it takes a while to prepare the sugarcane! Also, it's funny how they'll charge for less ice and extra ice.

This sugarcane juice place was so good that I went back 2x and got 3 cups in a three-day period. The first time, I got the OG Mia, which was sugarcane and kumquat, and the next time, I came back for the sugarcane and passionfruit one. The OG Mia definitely was more on the sour side compared to the passionfruit, but the passionfruit had the seeds in the drink as well. All real, nothing powdered it seems. I will say it is a bit pricy with almost all the drinks being $6+ but well worth it when you're craving nước mía (or sugarcane juice).

Never had sugarcane drinks before so I decided to try here for my first! I guess I don't really have any other comparison... but the drinks were decent! The one with coconut inside was good as well. But Very sweet! The only thing is.. the drinks were almost 7 dollars per drink and I'm guessing ingredients (and sugarcane) are much more expensive compared to bubble tea... so, quite expensive! I'm not sure if this will ever replace my craving for bubble tea but it was a nice one time experience. And another, there was a piece of hair in my unopened drink but the staff was nice to quickly make me a new one...

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! They served fresh sugarcane juice and other sugarcane juice with other fruits in. It was just so fresh. The prices ranged from 6 to 8 dollars but it is reasonable since you're getting a fresh drink. They also have waffles with different flavors which we're planning on trying next time. The two men working only spoke Vietnamese but that's okay since they were really nice. The place was clean and parking was free.

Mama Mia is sooo damn good! It's very clean in here which makes it a plus. In our Texas heat, you can't go wrong with sugarcane drinks! My favorite order here would be their Matcha special(I'm a huge matcha fan) and this place does not disappoint! I get my drinks with only half ice and they DON'T water it down or anything; This is pure sugarcane and it tastes amazing. I also like their Mama Mia special which consists of many fruit toppings being in there as well. They have happy hours as well which does give free upsizing(their cups are a nice size). This place is a great place to stop by for a refresher. They also serve waffles here which is pretty tasty as well (pandan/ube flavor is good ) I definitely recommend coming by this spot and giving it a shot! It's much different than boba since that's around every block nowadays *Ask for a stamp card during your purchase* 5/5 stars !

I went the one at Holcomb & Stella Link in Houston, Texas. We had a great lunch & each had a mango drink. I would recommend this to everyone. They also have another one on Bellaire. We will go there next time. My oldest grandson & wife opened one in LA.

Love this place. Saw it on yelp and really wanted to try it and it did not disappoint! I am a huge fan of sugarcane and never had anything else other than just the original. This place has different combination such as sugarcane with coconut, sugarcane with kumquat, sugarcane with passion fruit, pennywort, etc. My favorite is the sugarcane with coconut! You can taste both coconut and sugarcane, not overly sweet and just so fresh. I would definitely recommend it. I also got the pandan waffle which had shredded coconut in it which was good as well. They also have other options like durian but I am not too adventurous. The place is kind of small, I would just order for takeout. The service is okay. The cashier didn't seem too friendly. Had no smile and looked a bit unhappy the whole time but was polite.

Decent priced smoothies! Hard nowadays to find a place that sells that at $5! I also liked how I could substitute with oat milk for only 75 cents! We got the strawberry banana smoothie w/ boba and the avocado smoothie w/ oat milk. Refreshing, will be back!

Pretty good! I got the Classic #1 Sugarcane. I next time will 100% be trying the Ginger, Lime, and Sugarcane mix to see how it compares to "Ganne La Raas", an Indian sugarcane drink. The employees were nice and willing to recommend options. The drinks are freshly made and happy hour upgrades the size of your drink! The space itself is small and there isn't much space to sit so I would treat this as a grab and go type venture. However, there are two tables and some barstools in case you choose to drop by for a bit!

Every time I'm home, Mama Mia is a must! Drinks and service are always perfect. They happen to have one of the best pandan waffles as well! Fresh, hot and crispy. Check them out during the week for drink specials.

I saw this place has really good reviews, so I decided to check it out. I got the OG sugar cane drink and also the kumquat sugar cane drink. I've had authentic sugar cane drinks when I lived in Vietnam, and the drinks here tasted nothing like it. Both of the drinks I ordered tasted awful like they were really watered down and barely had any flavors. I also had the Vietnamese iced coffee, which definitely had very strong coffee flavors that I like. I also bought the waffles (pandan, durian, and taro), and these have got to be the best Vietnamese waffles I've had so far in the Houston area. I'll definitely be back for more of these waffles. Their banh mi cha lua was also not bad, but I didn't expect much for the banh mi since this isn't a banh mi store. Overall, I would never be back for their sugar cane drinks, but the waffles are definitely worth it here.

I haven't had a sugarcane drink since going to a night market in Cali 4 years ago. So glad there's a place here in Houston that specializes in sugar cane drinks! Very tasty and refreshing. The waffles are warm and very creamy.

Mama mia is definitely the place to go for all varieties of sugarcane drinks. Our family has been going here every time there's a sugarcane drink crave. The mama mia special is definitely a must try. Yummy and full of toppings . The drink is not too sweet. It has sour fruits as toppings : strawberries, mango, pineapple. Recommend for those that like fruit tea.

We are addicted to this place lol. Swing by whenever we r in the Bellaire area. It's getting pack and drinks r still good. This time we try the strawberry mia but didn't like it. The strawberries took away the the sugarcane flavors So just stick with kumquat (the original)

A place that serves all-things sugar cane juice?? Count me in, and I've been wanting to come for almost 2 years now! I'm so glad I finally tried Mama Mia, and boy, it's delicious. They give you a pretty generous cup size, but be wary that the prices are quite steep. However, for a rare juice that you can't exactly find anywhere, I'm willing to pay. I highly recommend the lychee drink. It was incredibly refreshing, and they even put two fresh lychees in my cup! I could come by and drink this during any season, and it's so nostalgic for me as well. I can't wait to come back!

The best place for pure sugarcane juice with ginger and lime juice. Just try it. Service is fast and you can see then juice the sugarcane, right in front of you. The shop is neat and clean.

Came here and took my husband because he loves sugarcane drinks. Ordered the original sugarcane drink and added kumquat. He loves it. Told me it was a 10/10. A little bit on the sweet side but he didn't seem to mind. I took a sip out of it too and it was sure refreshing and delicious. Well sure be back!

Came here to get a drink after breakfast. I decided to get an OG Mia, which is sugarcane juice with kumquat. The kumquat balanced out the sweetness in the sugarcane. It is quite refreshing but it might be better if they had one where it was sugarcane juice, coconut juice, and kumquat! Even though it isn't too sweet, after drinking it for a while, it does get sweet. We got their durian waffle to try. It tasted like a sweet waffle and then there will be bits and pieces of durian that you come across. Wish it was more crispy though. It got a bit soft. Prices are a tad high for a drink though but it makes sense since they're made to order. Not so bad if you want to treat yourself once in a while. I think if this place was nearby, I would definitely pay a visit but it wouldn't be something I have to get.

Years ago I went to California and was introduced to cococane. Yes, I was an addict. So when I realized, Houston their own version, my fiend came back. I am here every few weeks for my fix of fresh coconut mixed with sugar cane juice. Their pandan waffles are a must addition to every order as well.

I'm happy this place opened up. It really reminds you of home. Back in Vietnam, you'd get a freshly squeezed sugar cane drink in a bag with a straw, especially on a sweltering hot day. The moment you walk in, it smells like fresh pandan waffles and refreshing drinks. I try to make it a mission to get a drink from here. It's become a staple of my needs while I'm in the area. I always get the OG (with kumquat) or orange. Seriously a favorite. One of these days I'm going to have to try everything on the menu. The people here are so nice! It shows too cause they're passionate about what they serve. Make sure to get a stamp card!

Was in the area and it was hot outside, so we stopped by to get nuoc Mia (sugarcane drinks). We ordered the lemonade nuoc Mia, pennywort, original nuoc mia and (banh keep) pandan coconut waffles. I ordered my pennywort drink with sugar and it was delicious. It was so refreshing for a hot day. It's definitely a drink that is an acquired taste because a lot of people think it tastes like grass lol. My boyfriend got the lemonade nuoc Mia and didn't enjoy it as much. He wished he got the nuoc Mia with tac (kumquat) so it could have the original sourness to it. We got my boyfriend's dad the original nuoc Mia but it was too sweet for him, so he didn't really drink it. :( he loved the pandan waffles though! We were surprised it had actual coconut inside too. We'd come back here again for the pennywort drink and the pandan waffles! Everyone else will probably get another drink next time, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

Recently discovered sugarcane drinks when I was in California so I've been on the hunt for food sugarcane juice and found this place. They have a wonderful variety of sugarcane juice options as well as smoothies if you're looking for something different. My go tos are the young coconut sugarcane juice which has little pieces of coconut in it. Or I get the kumquat juice if I'm feeling more citrusy. Loveeeee this place

Nuoc mia for the win! Refreshing sugarcane drinks made to order. So many options from regular to special mixed flavors like coconut, kumquat, etc. They also offer it by 1/2 gallon and small snacks like pandan waffles. I had the Coco Mia and my s/o had the Mama Mia special. They were both refreshing and quenched our thirsts. So good that I had to order a 1/2 gallon home too. I usually have to wait until hoi cho Tet to get good nuoc mia but now I can have it year round, as long as I visit Houston (HA!).

Best sugar cane in town. We have tried a few places but nothing tasted as good and fresh like Mama Mía. The gentleman taking our order this morning was super nice!
