Upupa Epops - The bar

Been walking on the street it is located on, for a few years now but never got the chance to actually go. Went there last week with my boyfriend for a quick hot beverage before we would go back home. We were greeted by a magical place. The Xmas decorations are from another world really. The owner knows how to make a person look at a place in awe. The beverages were average, but didn't really matter because the atmosphere was really top notch. Will definitely go there for a drink soon.

Such a cool spot! Been wanting to go for a very long time and definitely met my expectations and more. Decor is unique and very cool, chairs are comfy, food is good, drinks and coffee is good! Next time will make it to try the cocktails and night scene.

This is definitely my favorite place in Athens. It just has everything you need. The place is amazing and beautiful. The staff is excellent and kind. The menu is accurate and good. Cocktails are boom. The atmosphere and vibe are amazing and give a special peace. and the owner of the place. The lovely Elia. The store is very nice near a theater but there is no metro station but only buses. The interior decoration is beautiful and the theme from this special bird is really nice. Coctails are ok and also the staff. Its inner courtyard has several plants and beautiful furniture. I will go again at night because it must be more beautiful.

A unique place in a typical “old Athenian neighbourhood” building, the owners have kept many of its original architectural features and made it even better! The service is great, the quality is even better! If you visit the historical industrial district of Athens or Keramikos’ ancient cemetery, this is a must place for a coffee, brunch or even a drink at night! In a walking distance from Keramikos metro station (blue line) and Petralona electric railway station (green line)!

Visited on a September noon and enjoyed an excellent brunch! A very tasty pastrami sandwich with a sweet-sour chutney and a light-spicy mustard. The coffee served (freddo espresso) has a very nice flavour and the preparation must be careful because the consistency of the coffees (3 on our table) was excellent. The brunch was continued with a profiterol and some very tasty sweet pancakes (photo attached bellow). The pancakes were super soft and light and the sauces used created a delightful sweet taste that made a great contrast with the coffee. The garden outside is a very nice part of Athens in a very quiet street, dog friendly and very relaxing. The service was excellent with people wearing their best smiles and showing great care for us and our 4legged friend. Overall an excellent experience and I suggest a visit there.

Very nice bar but don't go there if you wanna relax and have a discussion, it was extremely noisy in the evening. People were literally shouting, plus the loud music. The cocktail we ordered was tasty but the glass was so small and the piece of ice so big...for 9€ you would expect something bigger... A fancy place, nothing special.
