We really enjoyed the archipelago dinner cruise on SS Stockholm. We opted for the vegan menu and it was excellent, a really thoughtfully put together menu. Service good and views of the archipelago spectacular as you'd expect. A real treat!

Julbordskrysssning Excellent food and experience. Despite the crowds - manageable, maybe a bit noisy but logistics, food quality , presentation ambiance was great. Take your time to enjoy the cidre outside when you arrive tables are reserved and after the initial rush it settles down. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A couple of comments 1The boat is packed to the roof. Not nice for those getting on later. Why not reserve tables? 2 a wider offer of low alcohol jul öl (3.5). sweden has excellent selection. 0% and 2.1 is not quite there yet. 3 offer snaps in smaller quantities Why only 4 stars. We endet up in the crew cabin upstairs which took a bit away from the Xmas feeling as it was a bit shabby. Overall definitely a place for work events or friends family and visitors If you want more quaint and calm , smaller parties, my favourite is still blidösund ångbåt for julbord.

Great 3 hour brunch tour around the islands of Stockholm. The boat is lovely and we made reservations to have a table where we could see everything. Food was very good and lots of drink options. They also offer insights about the sights along the way, so you get to learn a bit of history. Definitely worth it!

Christmas buffet cruise / julbordskryssning. Very strange crew. Crew didnt't say hello until guests said hello themselves. Server didn't introduce herself and greet us welcome. Didn't explain how it works, just "what do you want to drink?". No smiles. Food cleared too soon for people to be able to finish. Paid 110 ish euros per person and coffee wasn't even included. If you're Swedish, this is a death sin in service. For the price of this cruise, coffee should definitely be included, quite ridiculous. When giving feedback about this, the nonchalant server answered "I don't make the rules". Same server didn't say goodbye after receiving a goodbye from us. Like I said, very strange and poor performing crew. Can't recommend this cruise, despite good food and variety. The service level was abysmal and crew looked like they wanted to be somewhere else. This falls on the company who is responsible for the captain who is responsible for the crew.

We took the brunch cruise. Very nice experience. Swedish buffet with great views of the archipelago. I always recommend it for tourists. You can also take the guided tour and buy something to drink and est from their bar.

Very nice boat trip. 2-3 hours includes a round trip with a lunch. Highly recommend booking and sitting down for lunch. 2 courses and a decent drink menu. Service is fast and friendly. Please dress up a little- smart casual. It’s more fun for everyone. Boat has a bar/cafeteria and you can sit outside.

Boy was I thrilled to eat fried dough drenched in grease, while the tour guide shussed the passengers, offended that they'd rather listen and speak to each other rather than her. The floor closest to the wall also slants a great deal, meaning you'll be shoved up against the cold wall of the ship for the 90 minute duration of the cruise to Artipelag. I recommend you skip this cruise and take the bus instead.

Did the guided 3 hour tour. Literally felt like they hearded us like cattle and didn't have enough seating. Extremely unorganized, crowded and uncomfortable. BUT!! The the actual guide of the tour was incredible. He was the best part of that weird boat.

If you visit Stockholm, you MUST take a boat tour. Even if you use a different company, make sure you get out on the water because the views are absolutely mindblowing. Being from Minnesota, the area actually really really reminded us of our own national treasure, the Boundary Waters Canoe Wilderness Area. The landscape looks very similar and I'd guess (though I haven't looked at a map) that the two areas are similar latitude wise so that probably makes sense. The thing that was most surprising to us is that here at home, we have to drive six hours north almost into Canada to reach our favorite wilderness area, and here in Stockholm, you can be out on the water and enjoying nature in under half an hour from downtown (which is really urban and you can't even see the water). It's a really interesting mix of things and all in such a small geographic area. OK so if you choose this boat tour, as others have said, it's about 2.5 hours and basically takes you out and makes a loop. The boat is a nice boat ... large, with both indoor and outdoor seating,. So really you should be more than comfortable on your journey, though I can imagine that in the summertime and the height of tourist season, these boats are probably pretty packed. We were there in March, so the boat was less than half full, which was great. If you plan to sit upstairs outside to get the best possible view, bundle up. Even if it's warm out, it will be cold up there. The views are magnificent and the crew was super cool about letting you roam around the boat as you wished to take photos. The tour is also narrated, and our most impressive tour guide did the tour narration in English, German and Dutch after surveying the people on the boat to find out what languages they speak. I have no idea how many languages this gentleman speaks but he literally repeated everything in three different languages and fielded questions. Very impressive. The boat takes you by a lot of cool stuff, particularly the waterside amusemement park that sits on the banks of the water. But other than that, quite a value for the money and a really really wonderful way to see Stockholm!

Take the 2.5 hour cruise around Stockholm. You'll relax and take in some great views and maybe even make some friends.

As with every European city I visit, I must take the obligatory boat tour for the city. The hard part is that Stockholm is made of 14 + different islands, so there's a variety of tours choose from...in this case I went with the cheap 220SEK($24.44) 50 minute tour. Overall, a solid way to spend an hour in Stockholm. You'll see great views of the city, the Royal cancel, and circumvent one of the islands. No live guide, its a prerecorded audio tour in a variety of languages, or choose a a music setting. Photographers, professional and amateur(me), will want to sit in the open air rear section. Relative to other boat tours I've taken, this one seemed a bit more expensive than it needed. A week prior I paid $12 for a 1 hour boat tour in Amsterdam. Still a good time though. If you have time, spend the extra 60SEK for the 2.5 hour tour.

We booked the archipelago tour with this company. It was part of the Stockholm Pass, so I can't speak to the price, but it was one of our favorite activities that the pass offers. They only offer two tours a day, so we went for the 10 am tour. The tour was around 2.5 -3 hours. The boat is set up with dining in the middle along with indoor seating. There is a sit-down restaurant as well as a cafe. There is bench seating along the outside which allows for better views. If you want a good seat, make sure to get there early. We really enjoyed the tour. It was really cool to see the different architecture along the archipelago and had a feel for just how big it really is. The tour also gave some good history and culture along the way. The islands and houses were really pretty. Come dressed for the weather and remember that it's a lot colder on the water than it is on land. I would definitely recommend this tour to others!

This is a 2.5 hour cruise around Stockholm, Sweden. The boat has seats both inside and out, and has an excellent audio commentary via headphones in several languages. This is an excellent way to see Stockholm. The seats are very comfortable and there is a toilet available. There are also snacks on the boat available to purchase. There are a lot of great photo opportunities throughout the cruise. I highly recommend taking this activity!

Greatly enjoyed the Royal Canal tour with this company here in Stockholm. For an hour, they take you around the archipelago passing by many beautiful landmarks in this picturesque city. Best to grab a seat in outside deck the back of the boat for the best views. However, those fill up first so make sure you come early. Prices for the tours are quite expensive so make sure you pick up the Stockholm Pass which covers this tour to save those kronor. Definitely recommended.

What a wonderful city and the best way to see it is from the water. We took the 2 hour bridges tour it was beautiful. The ship was clean and the staff friendly. The tours have headphones and you can select your language very informative. A very good value.

As with many European cities, a boat tour really helps you get a feel for the history and beauty of the city. Doing this tour in Stockholm is no exception to that rule! We decided to go for the longer "bridges of Stockholm" tour which lasted about 2 hrs and 15 minutes and went through a small lock. The boat itself is set up a bit oddly compared to other tours we have taken in the past. The interior is fitted with tables where people face each other. It's not a great way to see outside and until about 15 minutes into the tour we didn't realize the best way to see was to go out to the small back deck. Once out there we really enjoyed the narration and the view. If the weather is nice I would recommend going outside right away to get a good seat. There is a small snack bar on board but it only seemed to be open a few short times during the trip, but items are reasonably priced for Stockholm.

To be fair, my ferry trip to Fjaderholmara was lovely - hence the 3 stars (otherwise 2) - but my review is on the Ferry trip to Drottningholm Palace. My main discontent is there were not enough seats on the ferry, which is daunting for an one hour 'scenic' trip down the inner harbour. I meant over 40 people standing in the ferry while its pricier restaurant have the same amount of empty seats. On a warm sunny summer day, often with more than one large tour groups, your best chance of having a seat is to line up at least 20 minutes early. The trip towards the Palace is where novelty hits highest and outdoor seats are great - sunscreen and sunglasses are must. Also time your return trip wisely if you plan to visit the palace, theatre, the Chinese Pavilion and the surrounding parkland. The cafe offers a range of drinks and bakery goods, including hot dog with buns (25 kr), shrimp sandwich with eggs (95 kr), and of course, pickled herring (95 kr).

Terrible experience in Stockholm. We booked a three hour archipelago tour and were given horrible directions to where we should pick up the boat for the tour. When we then missed the tour we were told by the manager "we do not do refunds and we do not make mistakes you mut have misunderstood the directions". We confirmed twice with the young lady who sold us the tickets where we should go. The manager was beyond rude and did not offer any apology, recompense, voucher, just "please move out of the way for the other customers". She also stated that we have sold 100's of tickets yet we had two couples with the same problem from the same sales person?????

If you are looking for history and beauty, take one of these tours! The boats are beautiful and historic. Personally I have taken the Archipelago three hour tour and enjoyed every minute of it. There was a decent snack bar on board with coffee and fresh cakes. Outdoor and indoor seating was available. If you are cold, they have a big pile of blankets inside that you can use. I also heard wonderful reviews on the weekend brunch tour that is slightly longer but does almost the same route.

Stay away! 1 star for the beautiful trip to Drottningholm. The dinner, however... we asked if we could go out on the deck for a view. When we came back, the starters and 2/3 main courses were served. We tried to order wine but we only got it once those main courses were finished. Then we got the last course, some game version of meatballs that would have been much better had they been made the traditional way. The inattentive waiters were mostly trying to make sense of the computer system, and could offer no apology for the chaos when this waa pointed out to them. Looking around, I could see most other customers experiencing similar problems. Besides that the shrimp sandwich was poorly fried in burnt butter and had a weird and unusual "fishy" taste. The brisket was dry. Beer was warm. They wouldn't take a fourth booking for our table, and when we got there there was an empty seat. And oh yeah, the boat was hot as hell and we were dripping with sweat. Avgå alla.

We took the trip around the Archipelago to Vaxholm City and back to Stockholm in June 2019. The bartender and the guide on-board were excellent! But that's where the good part of the tour ends. To start with, the signs at the dock (which is actually two docks a 1/2 mile apart) were completely confusing and there were zero staff members stationed at any docks on our end of the port to answer questions. Boarding took a while, but the person handling boarding (the tour guide) was very kind and helpful. Once on board, the rest of the trip was- in spite of how knowledgeable, kind, and helpful the guide was- colored by how negative everything but the scenery and tour guide was. The boat was unbearably hot. It was one of the hottest days in Copenhagen, at an unseasonably warm mid-80s. Add in that the sun beats down significantly harder because of the latitude of the city and the tilt of the Earth during the summer, and that the boat didn't have A/C or operating windows, and it was uncomfortable on board. In addition to the heat on the boat, there weren't enough seats for passengers on the boat. This was largely because the upper dining area said it closed half way through the trip, while the lower deck dining area was completely closed, period. As a result, tons of people- mostly older or those with children- were standing on the narrow side-railing trying to cool off in the intense heat. In terms of staff, like I said earlier our bartender and our guide were amazing! They were so kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and fun to cruise with. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff were- honestly- quite rude and unhelpful. Unwilling to answer questions about the boat, condescending to passengers, and lacking in social skills seemed to all be shared traits. One of the wait staff working on the middle level walked around for five straight minutes waving a sign in customer's faces about closing one of the only comfortable seating areas on the entire ship for the back hour and a half of the cruise without speaking a word to any of them. He walked up, looked at them, made eye contact, and then aggressively flapped the laminated white printer paper sign in their faces before walking off. It would be comical (and honestly is since it didn't happen to me) if it wasn't so damn insulting and stupid. He also repeatedly yelled at people trying to enter and exit the viewing deck. Another of the staff, who worked the front of the boat, was incredibly rude and condescending to every person on the bow viewing area of the ship. She told people sitting next to their spouses that they needed to get up and leave but the spouse didn't, she refused to answer passenger's questions about the boat by looking at them speaking to her and then flat out ignoring them (after clearly indicating in her rude manner that she spoke multiple languages), and did a variety of other things to make her clearly on the most unpleasant people we had to encounter on our trip through Scandinavia. If you're thinking about taking an archipelago tour: by all means, do it! So amazing. Don't do it with this company. They clearly cut corners and lack basic customer service and logistics management skills. Or, more likely yet, they understand them and don't care because overselling seats on a boat and underproviding services on it lead to higher profit.

We thought this tour was great. It gave us an hour touring around the Stockholm waterways with an English commentary. The tour ran perfectly on time and was very competently handled in all respects. There were ample opportunities for photos. We thought the price was good. Very satisfied. No complaint at all.

I took the archipelago tour. It was easy to find and the staff was very nice and helpful. The boat I took was in excellent shape. There was plenty of space outside as well as inside if you wanted to keep warm. I thought there could be more told during the guide. There were long periods of silence, and I would have appreciated more information on the islands we were passing by. As a city girl, I did get a little bored half way through, so I think the additional information would have subdued that. I also prebooked the lunch. The food was okay, a bit salty. But it was very convenient because they reserved a table on the upper deck (inside) for you. Drinks are not included. They offered me a drink and didn't let me know it cost extra. In fact, when I first met with the head waitress, she asked which meal I wanted and said I could have anything to drink at the bar.

We took the three hour tour to vax holm. We would recommend getting a table in the restaurant. You can keep it for the entire trip and the food and service are very good! Okay a little pricey- but unless it's perfect weather you will be happy to have it. Can go up on deck anytime. Our boat was refitted in 2005 and very beautiful inside.

Nice boat, nice tour. In theory. We stayed in Stockholm in wintertime. We've decided to book the archipelago tour which takes about 2 and a half hours. The route is nice and there's a lot to see. It's advertised as "dining and excursions". Pictures with happy people sitting in the warm, eating and smiling. Well we spent most of the tour outside on the deck cause there were no available seats inside the boat. So we were forced to sit on benches freezing in the cold wind. Some people had covers, so I tried to find some. Unfortunately they were no more available. I don't know if they overbook these tours. But it would have been nice to be warned in advance that it could happen that we might won't get a place or maybe having to stay outside. Well, so that's what I'm doing now! Be warned about that! They are not able to provide enough covers but I hope they are able to provide enough lifevests.

No tour guides, only a headset. You don't even get greeted when you come aboard. There is no one to ask questions of, only someone to drive the boat. Very unfriendly. Don't recommend it.

We took the 3 hour dinner cruise to Vaxholm and the Royal Canal tour. Staff was very helpful and nice. We did not get the dinner from them on the dinner cruise. It was just a round trip back and forth to Vaxholm. Saw the castle at night and took some pictures. Overall happy with them. These 2 tours were included in the Stockholm Pass I purchased. April is shoulder season and boats were not crowded at all.
