Visited in December 2024. Unfortunately, the guy working at the entrance has set a quite unwelcoming feel at the start of the visit. I went straight to the desk and said 'Hi!' to which he did not reply at all. He just kept staring at his phone, and did not even acknowledge my presence. Very rude. I have then asked if I can go in with my I Amsterdam card, and if I can get the audioguide. It turned out that there is no audio guide but just a leaflet I can look at, which was another disappointment, given that there is a very similar house museum offered on I Amsterdam Card which does provide an audioguide.
I did like the rooms, and the garden, but would still prefer to have been provided with some better understanding of what I was visiting. Had I have to pay for the entrance fee (if I had not have the I Amsterdam card), this would be a big waste of money. This way, it was just an unpleasant experience and a waste of time which I could have spent at another museum.
