Pllek

Over the years, Pllek has been a staple for us whenever we were in the NDSM area. We usually stopped by for a cappuccino on a bike trip or some drinks with friends or visitors from out of town - on summer days on the sunny and always popular riverside terrace (also great for sunset watching), in the winter in the warm and lively restaurant (even featuring a cozy fireplace). This time, we had a nice dinner with freshly prepared dishes, made of quality (and partly locally sourced) ingredients and served by friendly waiters. The bavette steak was absolutely to the point and came with cavolo nero, roasted vegetables, fries, and a flavorful morel sauce - fantastic. The grilled radicchio with cashew cheese, poached pear, roasted almonds and a dressing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar was quite tasty, too, it just lacked a bit the toasting flavor you’d expect from such a dish. We appreciated the complimentary bread and olive oil we received prior to the main dishes, a gesture of hospitality you sadly don’t come across very often in the Netherlands. The organic lemonades (ginger-citrus and rose-citrus) were excellent as well. Combined with the really cozy atmosphere and a nice mix of guests from all walks of life, this made for a wonderful evening in one of our favorite places in Amsterdam.

Pllek is one of the most unique spots in Amsterdam. The location on the NDSM wharf is stunning — you can sit on the man-made beach, watch the water, and soak up the laid-back vibe. The atmosphere is creative and relaxed, with a great mix of locals, families, and travelers. The menu leans mostly vegetarian/vegan and feels fresh and light. Some dishes are absolutely delicious, others a bit underwhelming, and the portions can be on the smaller side. Prices are on the higher end, but you’re really paying for the view and vibe. Service was friendly but a little slow when busy. Still, this is a perfect place to spend an afternoon in the sun or enjoy drinks in the evening. Worth the ferry ride over as long as you're doing other things like the STRAAT Museum!

We came here for the event on the 14th. The service was kind but everything was delayed, the food was the most average. Maybe in a regular day is better. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price

Great terrace to get some winter sun and a warm chai latte. Service is friendly and the terrace spacious. The big pic nick tables are huge so easy for big groups or just to share with others.

If it’s Noord, then it’s Pllek. We always eat delicious food here, and the service is always friendly. The interior is cozy even in winter, and the DJ on-site provides a pleasant atmosphere during dinner. A reliable choice in every season and at any time of day.

Good food, price is okay. Nice indoor or outdoor seating. A bit busy when we were there but the staff are nice and attentive. If you're wondering how to get there from Amsterdam Central Station, there's a free ferry that goes back and forth at the back of the station.

Excellent spot near the NSDM wharf, riverside. Can get pretty crowded. Despite that, service is swift and good. Sometimes features live music. Great atmosphere.
