7 Beautiful Hotel Villas Around the World - AFAR

"Launched as a small villa collection at a family-run beach hotel, the offering currently includes two ocean-view villas (with another planned) and emphasizes light, airy bedrooms and generous outdoor entertaining spaces. Villa One features six en-suite pearly, lightwood bedrooms, an outdoor dining gazebo and a private Jacuzzi, while Coral Hill is a five-bedroom home with a master suite occupying an entire floor; both come with dedicated butlers and private chefs. Because flight schedules to the island are limited, the hotel eases access with its own short-flight service from nearby hubs." - Mary Holland

"With its own shuttle flight service from St. Lucia andBarbadosand an unbeatable location on one of the Caribbean’s most picturesque stretches of sand, Bequia Beach Hotel is an island unto itself. The 10-acre property, easily Bequia’s most luxurious, also includes a spa, two swimming pools, two restaurants, and a canvas-tented bar on nearby Princess Margaret Beach, plus 56 individually appointed rooms and suites furnished in an eclectic, island-chic style (think red four-poster beds, wicker armchairs, and palm-accented throw pillows). Adventurous types can take advantage of the hotel’s free sports equipment (including kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes), while those who prefer more subdued activities can opt for complimentary yoga classes."

My husband discovered this hotel via this FT article - https://on.ft.com/2LZFuy4 and I’m delighted he did. The hotel is the definition of relaxation. We are a family of 4 and stayed in the 2 bed Villa Bequia. It had 2 spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and a kitchen/ sitting room. Great AC in all so Zero complaints, it was extremely comfortable. ||The thing that made this hotel stand out the most for me was the staff. Everyone is just extremely helpful and kind and none more so than Rima Ali the Guest Services Manager. Rima goes above and beyond to help. Gives great advice / suggestions on what to do / where to go and was the kids adored her always wanting to run to the reception to give her a hug. ||For any fellow parent going there is a kids club, open 8-4. My twins (aged 4) loved Cornelia very much and by day 3 were asking after breakfast if they could go to the kids club. You don’t need to prebook (like you do in say a Sani or Martinhal resort) and that is a massive bonus for me as you can be super flexible with your day. ||The beach by Jacks bar is tamer, so better suited for kids. Shuttle daily at 10.30am to Jacks with collection at 4pm. It’s a very pleasant way to spend the day. All food and drinks can be charged back to the hotel which I liked as meant I didn’t have the hassle of having to find cash.||We loved the Sand Bar for lunch. Beth behind the bar was super fun to chat to. The kids loved the wings and coconut shrimp. I loved the coco colada!! ||The spa is also a must visit. Petra has magic hands. ||To summarise I highly recommend this hotel. I will 100% return.

Bequia Beach Resort is exceptional! This is were I chose to celebrate my 60th Birthday. What a spectacular space to begin the new chapter. The space caters to relaxation, breath, rest, rejuvenation, and restoration. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was a beautiful dream. The service was top notch. Everyone was sweet, kind, considerate, and helpful. The staff provided detailed and supportive information about the culture, and philosophy of the resort. Most impressive was the level of access to nature, and community. The food was great, and I really enjoyed the grace of a family environment. I will definitely visit Bequia Beach Resort again and again. Thank you for a great experience!

We don’t usually return to destinations as we like to explore with the time that we have, however after a great trip to Bequia in 2024 we decided to return and bring the whole family. We arrived into Bequia on SVG Air from Barbados, then transferred in Gideon’s HiLux to the hotel to be warmly greeted by familiar and friendly faces throughout the hotel. On arrival the gardens and property all looked immaculate and well maintained. ||New addition the Sand Bar which is a short walk up Friendship Beach is a perfect lazy lunch venue and contrasts nicely with the livelier Jack’s Bar on the other side of the island (about 1/2 mile away), both beach bars under Bequia Beach Hotel ownership so everything can be conveniently signed to your room. As a family of 5, I had booked the Palm Villa which was more spacious than I expected and had a very nice outside private pool area in addition to the two lovely main pools.

We recently hosted our wedding weekend at Bequia Beach Hotel with a fairly large group of family and friends, and it was nothing short of magical! The staff went above and beyond to make our weekend perfect, taking such good care of everyone and paying attention to every detail.|The food at every meal was amazing, with lot of variety and always fresh! And the live entertainment at night and ocean views during the day kept everyone thoroughly entertained. |All of our guests had such a great time they are already talking about planning their next visit! We really couldn't have asked for more to make for a perfect wedding weekend!

Bequia Beach Hotel proves why luxury boutique hotels are the best option. Phenomenal experience all around. Extreme attentiveness and helpfulness from staff. They will help you arrange everything - taxis, ferries, rebook flights. Surprisingly great meals. Lovely property. Definitely plan to return.

If nothing else the hotel exceeds customer service. The entire staff are extremely nice and helpful. A front desk representative met us at the ferry and rode with us back to the hotel. Answered any questions we had. The property is beautifully maintained. The room was beautiful. The food is absolutely delicious. And the gentleman who makes mojitos does an excellent job. This is the best hotel to relax and unwind.

A beautiful resort, guest services were extremely helpful as my mobility issues limited choices of rooms to those on the ground floor, the dining was very good although menus did not vary day to day, the other guests were very pleasant, my room was maintained in top shape and the veranda helped keep it temperate ||The view out over the beach was worthy of its location and I enjoyed beach walking and swimming in both the ocean and the hotel pools||About my only negative comments were that the gecko did not live up to standards and there were the occasional mosquito present in the evening and the trip to the resort was long after a five hour plane ride - involving two taxis and a ferry. The resort made all the taxi arrangements so there was no problem but the ride was “interesting”

Attended a friend's son's wedding. The Bequia Beach hotel is a beautiful, secluded spot on a small island. The rooms and facilities are modern and well maintained. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. If given the opportunity, I would definitely want to stay there again.
