Golden State Vegan Restaurant

Stopped by Golden State right after work on a Friday and it was the perfect place to unwind. Super easy to get to from BTS Phrom Phong and EmQuartier. The space is cool and relaxed with plenty of seating and a great vinyl DJ setting the vibe. The food was delicious with lots of options from sushi to noodles and tacos, and the staff were really friendly and attentive. Loved the creative cocktails and the zero-proof options too. Definitely a new go-to chill spot 💚

Great food in a funky mid-century atmosphere. The sushi is some of the best vegan sushi we’ve tried anywhere with the textures and fusion flavors. The tea leaf nachos were also a highlight.

The vibe here is super cool and retro, with colorful lights, and sometimes even a live DJ playing music. Also, it stays open until midnight. The menu focuses on fusion sushi, and I tried the "Tokyo Tower" platter which has a massive 36-piece mix of delicious sushi rolls and sushi tacos. My favourite inside were the Volcano roll, which had a great spicy-creamy kick, and the Caterpillar roll featuring eggplant that mimicked unagi (eel) texture. They also do great appetizers like Tokyo Fry Tofu and some refreshing cocktails and mocktails. Even the price is on the higher-side, it's worth the splurge. Just a quick heads-up: double-check the address if you are using Grab or Bolt, as the apps might send you to their old location which is 15 minutes away.

Golden State Vegan is an outstanding restaurant. The décor is modern and warm, creating a really pleasant atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The service is excellent — the staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. And the food is exceptional: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether you’re vegan or not, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

A great experience for vegan sushi lovers! It’s not easy to find a good variety of vegan sushi in Bangkok, but this place really delivered. The flavors were fresh and creative, they did a great job! 🌱🍣 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The decor is cool and unique (it gave me a bit of a Mexican vibe), and the staff were friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The prices are on the higher side, 12 maki rolls cost 380 THB, 32 pieces 1600 THB but considering the quality and presentation, I’d say it’s worth it. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a tasty vegan sushi spot in BKK!

Love this spot! We take BTS to Phrom Phong, walk 5 mins and take lift to 3rd floor and we’re very happy to see the colorful funky decor. It’s our first time trying vegan sushi and we ordered Tokyo Tower Sushi platter to share and we’re definitely blown away with super fresh and bold taste of food. The staffs are super friendly and bartender made us special cocktails wow super delicious and not sweet at all! We stayed from sunset until night time and DJ spins very funky tunes. We absolutely love the vibe, the food, the music and the service! Staffs told us DJ comes every Friday and Saturday so we will definitely come back again soon💛💛

This place is amazing! Second year that we've been coming here and it only got better! Food is original, fresh, beautiful and just delicious, the menu is insane, we'll have to come back 20 more times just to sample it all, as everything looks amazing! Great drinks, great music and atmosphere, beautifully designed and really lovely service. Highly recommended, even for non Vegan/Vegetarians. Really one of the coolest places you will find.

My favourite place in Bangkok! The food is amazing and is prepared quickly, the drinks are delicious, you can pay with card, the staff is friendly. And the atmosphere is just super cool. It’s a mix between Japan, California and Thailand and it works perfectly. Can’t wait to be back!
