For the amount of times I’ve been here and the amount of people I’ve recommended this spot to, I can’t believe I haven’t left a review. This place is absolutely one of the best cocktail bars in Manhattan. The ambiance is sexy and dark with an intimate red velvet back bar highlighting their amazing spirits. The bartenders work with precision and have such a stylish look. The secretive entrance is one you must experience in person, it’s great to take your friends from out of town. The space is tight but they make the most of every inch, as any New Yorker would. crafted cocktails are all unbelievable and they can basically make you anything within reason. Will upload pics of my favorites but they do change some their house cocktails often. If you haven’t been here, GO! And shots come in such an adorable antique tea cup… everything is so curated and elegant! Usually I’m coming here after work so I haven’t really had any food here, but they do offer some bar snacks.

Shout out to Alex, Kevin, and the team; they did an awesome job. Thank you for the recommendations. I tried Dos Fridas cocktail; it is the best Ramos Fizz variations I have ever tried, very delicious. I also tried the Midnight Cowboy, an awesome Old Fashioned cocktail (Apple and miso butter-infused whiskey). The flavor combination is well balanced and delicious.

George Bang Bang in Koreatown, NYC, is truly a hidden gem — if it weren’t for my local friend, I probably wouldn’t have even known it existed! Tucked away behind an unassuming entrance, this speakeasy-style bar offers an incredible mix of atmosphere and craftsmanship. The vibe is warm, stylish, and intimate — perfect for a relaxed night out or a quiet date spot. The cocktails are creative, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. Every drink feels thoughtfully made, and the service matches the high quality of the experience. A must-visit if you enjoy hidden bars with great ambiance, attention to detail, and top-tier drinks.

A hidden place with a nice atmosphere, somewhere great for a date. I ordered “The most beautiful moment in life,” “Casablanca,” and “Notting hill.” The first and third were good but the second was a bit too strong for me.

I stopped by for a second round on Friday night and really enjoyed the hidden, almost secretive entrance inside Okdongsik, it made the experience feel a bit mysterious and fun. The host was upbeat and welcoming, so the mood was great even before having a drink. The space is quite dark, which made reading the menu a little tricky, but it definitely adds to the intimate, date-night atmosphere. I can’t remember exactly which cocktail I ordered, but it was delicious. I’ll definitely come back whenever I’m in the mood, and next time I want to sit at the bar and soak in the vibe even more.

One of the best bars I’ve been to in the world. Each cocktail was amazing. What was really great was the excellent service, it still felt like a community living room that you could bring a date to while enjoying high end cocktails. One bad thing, aside from the price, is their chairs at the bar suck, I felt tall in them and I’m 5’9”. Other than that, one of the best bars in the city

You want to try this place! Dim and classy ambiance! Great staff and fabulous drinks! If Earn and Primo are your bartenders, that’s your lucky evening! Professional, friendly and for sure know their stuff! Corleone, Midnight Cowboy and Old Boy are recommended!!

George Bang Bang tickles your curiosity right from the start, with its speakeasy-ish entrance late evening, which has you cross the seemingly closed dining counter upfront and open what looks like a service door at the back only to reveal the reception area of the bar. Clever. Booking is a must though I got lucky, being solo, to get a seat at the bar counter thanks to the friendly hostess. I was in for one night cap and pursuant to informing the bartender about my preference for a non sweet but rather more of a spicy or bitter tasting profile, I got sold on trying the Grand Hotel Budapest cocktail as depicted here, out of a comprehensive list of intriguing cocktail names and helpful explanatory captions on ingredients and such. Watching the cocktail being constructed right in front of me reminded me some of my best cocktail bar experiences in Tokyo. I was a little taken aback at very first as the overall profile of the drink didn’t strike me as neither spicy nor bitter, but I must say the drink rapidly grew on me with its depth and subtle layers and general undertones. I certainly feel like coming back for more, even try out their rendition of cocktail classics. I wish high end cocktail bars such as GBB would provide tasting notes in their menu to help their guest navigate and make out what the often intriguing and innovative ingredients mix and techniques translate into from an overall taste point of view, much like sommeliers would do with wines…
