Beautiful atmosphere with cozy seating, lots of little nooks, and a fire pit that kept things warm on a chilly night. Cats wandering around added to the charm.
The sardine salad was incredible—easily the best sardines I’ve ever had. I normally dislike canned sardines, but these were fresh and amazing. The meatball tagine was also excellent. The bread was a bit tough for my taste, and I wish they offered more options, but the food overall was fantastic.
It’s located deep in the old Medina and can be hard to find—I had to hire someone to guide me in and out—but it was worth it. Edrees was very helpful and spoke English, and Omar was attentive. Food took a bit longer since everything is made fresh.
Highly recommended if you’re in Fez and don’t mind the adventure getting there.
