My absolute favorite bookstore hands down. Not only a wonderfully curated selection and amazing customer service, but also a great calendar of events year-round. They also support several area book clubs with different themes. A wonderful community asset for Portland! We are lucky to have them.

What an incredible bookstore with the most lovely & knowledgeable staff. They have been super helpful on multiple occasions, and most recently whim was in shopping for a birthday gift for a 6th grader. They had numerous suggestions and took the time to narrow down to a couple books that were a hit. Great selection of Maine books and authors! Very welcoming, community focused shop - a must and favorite for locals and visitors.

One of my favorite bookstores to visit when I’m in the area! Fantastic selection, knowledgeable staff, and always so fun to browse. 10/10 recommend making the trip to Print! It’s the kind of bookstore we all need in our lives.

My favorite Portland bookstore, my family always stops in when we’re in town. We also frequently buy from their website, it’s nice to be able to support a great small business even when we can’t get to the physical location as much as we’d like. They do all sorts of book events, hopefully someday I’ll be in town for an event.

Love this indie bookstore! The staff is great & vibes are warm and welcoming, I always leave with more than I was planning on picking up because of the recommendations from staff! Whenever I am in Portland it is one of my first stops.

I love this bookstore. The owners are great people and everyone on staff will help you find (or order) whatever you're looking for. They're also fantastic citizens of the Portland community. Highly recommend.

I love this store. The selection is fantastic, the staff is knowledgeable, and helpful…I always make this my first bookstore stop when I come to Portland, ME. I feel right at home! Thank you for all you do and please, please keep making a positive impact!

Bookstore was really well organized and easy to browse. It was also super clean. I really enjoyed the section that had books that take place in Maine. I found 3 books! They were on par for pricing and I love supporting local. The employee was also super friendly as well. I will definitely visit again when I'm back in town

Cool bookstore in Portland. It is on a busy street so a little difficult to park but other than that everything is spot on. It's is very organized with lots of book recommendations and the staff was super helpful and friendly. Make sure to check it out when you are downtown.

Print is a wonderful local bookstore in the East End that packs a lot into a relatively small space. Be prepared to linger and browse and emerge with more than you planned on, and by the time you do it's highly likely you'll have chatted at length with everyone on staff and half the patrons too. Which is to say, it's a book lover's heaven. They always have a good selection of new fiction and nonfiction releases (as well as curated backlists of both), a prominent table of new paperbacks, a fantastic "Maine authors" and New England travel area, and a nice kid's section, with a bit of room to pull things out and play. Someone on staff clearly likes to spend time in the kitchen, because the cooking and food section is *amazing*. There are cool art books and pop culture tomes (really good stuff for gifting), as well as a selection of other great small locally made gifts (cards, candles, notebooks, etc.) sprinkled around throughout the store (I tend to come here first when I'm looking for presents). Possibly my favorite thing is the small presses shelf with wonderful books from US and global presses that publish things out of the ordinary: think beautifully designed books of odd trim size and lovely paper, along with works in translation--stuff that isn't easy to find. Wait, I lied! My favorite thing is the STAFF RECOMMENDATION SHELF, which, if you're trying to not spend money, will be your downfall. Haha, who cares? Especially when you're likely to get a detailed, enthusiastic plug from one of the staffers right there--I mean these are book lovers who know how to describe something, and what it means to them, and why you might like it too. Trust me, you won't regret it: this is genuine old-fashioned handselling of the best kind, and I've loved every single recommendation I've picked up here. By shopping at Print you are also (a) not supporting that giant online place where everything is cheaper but doesn't do anything for a local economy (or authors!) and (b) Print has a frequent flyer program you can join, so you'll rack up some credits you can use on subsequent visits. Join their newsletter to learn about other deals (such as the fabulous 20% off day they had for Thanksgiving this year), as well as readings by local authors. Bonus points too for a website that's easy to navigate, and you can also order there to pick up. Print: a bookstore, and already a local institution. Be there!

I recently took a girls' weekend to Portland, and while we were there, we did some of our holiday shopping. We stopped into Print after brunch, and what a cute bookstore this was! For a small space, it was generously stocked with books for everyone. They had a nice-sized childrens' and young adult section, along with best sellers, philosophy and everything else you could want. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and it looked like, by the number of packages in the store, that they do online ordering with in-store pick-up. I was also lucky enough to find a signed copy of TJ Klune's new book while I was there. Definitely worth dropping by if you're in the area.

This is easily my favorite bookstore in Portland! It's a large space stocked with an incredible selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and they regularly host author events and talks! I know Portland has several bookstores, but this is definitely one to check out! I'd even say it's the best.

Print is such an amazing bookstore. The owners are so personable and really hope to make your experience great. Everything is organized to perfection and I particularly like their Maine authors section. If they don't physically have the books that you are looking for, they make sure to order it for you. You can honestly tell that Emily and Josh, the owners, take pride in their store and that they are in it for the long haul. The bookstore works because it is something that they are passionate about. Print is someplace to definitely check out, even if it's just to meet Emily and Josh, who are genuinely nice people.

Great local bookstore! Friendly staff. I think it's the only bookstore (as far as I am aware) on the East End of the Portland peninsula. When a new book by one of my favorite authors came out this Spring, I had to have it, but my lunch break just barely overlapped with their hours of operation. I called the store and the Print associate stayed a few minutes late and kept the store open so I could run in and secure my copy! Things like this - the dedication and passion of its staff - are why I'll always come back to this great local small business!

My favorite bookstore,I love the guest authors and the great selection of signed copies. The staff are very helpful and I find they are very helpful in assisting me with my book requests. I enjoy the emails with dates of all the upcoming events and try to attend if I am I the area. A wonderful friendly place to spend time browsing the books.

Whenever I'm in Portland I make an effort to visit this sweet, Indie bookstore. Emily and Josh, the owners, always make me feel comfortable and are adept at putting an amazing book in my hands that is perfectly suited for me. Their staff is not only knowledgeable and friendly - they go out of their way to ensure that you have a positive experience here. If they don't have the book in stock, they'll order it for you and get it to you quickly. Support local!

Without a doubt one of the outstanding bookstores in New England; smart, gracious staff; first rate service. Always a fun visit. Have never left w/o and armload of great reading. What a gift!

Print is a great new addition to the East End. The store is nicely organized, they have a good selection of books, and the staff is helpful and friendly. I really like how they put an emphasis on Maine authors and their small press section is particularly cool. Additionally, they manage to get top quality writers to do a public reading there almost every week. I only wish the place had a bit more of a homey/cozy feel to it. The hard concrete floors are not very inviting and it feels a bit sterile. Nevertheless, the store is still relatively new and I think it has a lot of potential.

A perfect independent bookstore. The staff is super knowledgeable about their inventory (which is expansive and diverse for their size). They are always happy to do special orders and I've appreciated their curbside pickup due to COVID-19. Very customer focused and friendly.

I Was walking down the street and was greeted by this lovely book store. Great vibes from this place. Very friendly workers, clean and organized interior. Pleasantly surprised. Bought a great cook book. They have a vast selection. There is something for everybody.

Every time I venture into this perfect, little gem of a bookstore, I feel like it is my birthday. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable, without interfering in my amble around the shelves, unless called upon to help. Invariably, I leave with a book or two in hand....one I was searching for, and a new one, I hadn't even expected!

This place is fantastic. Talking to fellow human being and book lover is still the best way to discover great new literature. Well curated selection including kids and young adult material. What a luxury to have books custom selected for my 8 year old daughter and a bargain for personalized service! Here is a welcome alternative to being managed by an algorithm.

I've been here three times now in the last month. Print has a fantastic selection of books about activism, as well as an extensive collection of everything else you'd expect from a bookstore. All of my experiences with the staff have been very positive, and they seem to have a good lineup of author events too. Check it out!
