The Aarburg Hotel & Cafe

We stayed at the Aarburg for 3 nights in October exploring Interlaken and the surrounding mountains. It was a great experience. Our room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. Our balcony views were magical. The real gem of this hotel is the staff who host the hotel but work in the cafe downstairs. They are all amazing! So helpful, so attentive and the great food and coffee are an added bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel!

My partner and I have been here for a few nights now and even decided to stay a extra night which was organised effortlessly. The rooms are clean and cosy with a beautiful view of the water over the road! The staff are super friendly and gave us so much advice on where to go. Last but not least the breakfasts are amazing, barista style coffee with a view of the water if you get a window seat. 10/10

It was our first time traveling to Switzerland, and we had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful and welcoming hotel. The property offers breathtaking views, and the atmosphere is both peaceful and charming. The staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and always greeted us with a smile, making us feel truly at home. We especially enjoyed the traditional Swiss breakfast, which was both delicious and satisfying. The hotel is conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from " Interlaken West " train station, making it easy to explore the area. If we visit Switzerland again, we would definitely choose to stay here once more. Thank you to the entire team for your hospitality and kindness. ❤️

Great hotel. Great room. Great location. Great view. The breakfast let this place down. Not much choice. And it was the same every day. No variety. We were in a room with the small selection of cereals/yoghurts/cheese slices/fruit. And toast. The ‘cafe’ customers seemed to take priority. Or that is how we were made to feel. The breakfast food for cafe customers looked amazing.

What a brilliant hotel. We stayed in the room with a balcony and while the room was small being able to sit on that balcony and watch the world go by was amazing. Breakfast was really nice with lots of options and scrambled eggs made on request. The owners and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Very helpful when it came to local knowledge. We stayed at the hotel, and we chose the smallest but (probably) the most charming room with a balcony that they have! It is a TINY room, but they provided us with a key to a storage room where we could put some of our stuff. The staff was kind and breakfast was delicious, especially the drinks and the omelets made to order! Location is fantastic too, not too long of a walk from the train stations.

We visited as a family for a quick bite and some coffee. From the terrace, you can watch paragliders preparing to land with a breathtaking mountain backdrop. The food was absolutely delicious - we had the chicken sandwich, summer bowl, and some cheese bread. Honestly, one of the best meals I've had in recent months. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared - nothing was left to chance. A perfect stop for families who enjoy good food and great views. We will come back anytime!

Had a very pleasant stay at this little hotel. Good location to walk about 20 minutes to cog train to Harder Klum. Also good location for station and boat trips on lake. Basic room lovely bathroom with shower. Cheese ham yogurt and pastries for breakfast also delicious scrambled eggs to order. Very helpful staff. Would go back and recommend to friends

I absolutely loved this place. The staff was so fantastic. And may I say, they make the absolute best cappuccino. The room was extremely clean and the location was perfect. The adjacent river was beautiful. Also, We enjoyed being slightly away from the business of Interlocken. We will definitely return.

Amazing cafe! Got a delicious flat white and there was both oat and lactose free milk alternatives available. Such a great view of the water as well!

This is the most wonderful hotel in Interlaken. The staff are incredible and friendly. The food at the included breakfast is excellent and the rooms are very clean.

Absolutely loved this place. Had a single room with a river view and it was spectacular. Clean rooms with towels and shampoo/soap. Comfortable bed. Free breakfast in the morning. Really have no complaints with this place. Great location outside of Interlaken so it's quiet but a close walk into town

Was in Interlaken about 2 months ago and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Owners were fantastic and served patrons themselves. Great beer selection and there happens to be a laundromat right next to them which ended up being a plus. The views can't get much better than this.

I was so pleased with my stay at The Aarburg! Everything was just right: - friendly helpfulness of the hosts and their staff - the location of the hotel so close to downtown - the immaculate room - the stunning view from my window - the excellent breakfast It was a great decision to stay at The Aarburg, and I look forward to returning!

Hidden gem in Interlaken! Great tasty Swiss food, large portion, friendly service and cheap price (this is Switzerland after all). I come to Switzerland 2-3 times per year on business and favorite place to visit is the Jungfrau region near Interlaken. This hotel restaurant is tucked away from tourist area of Interlaken and serves home made Swiss food for a song! Wanted the family to eat traditional Swiss meal and we were not disappointed. Highly recommend

Worth every penny, after a long day on the train from Paris my wife and I went in search off a meal. This place blew us away. The asparagus ravioli was excellent and the lamb knuckle was the best dish I have ever had in a restaurant. The host was super friendly and helpful. she went out of her way to explain how the bill works in Switzerland. Local beer on bottles and on tap. The restaurant was very authentic feeling also.
