I finally made it to the legendary Cervejaria Ramiro in Lisbon, and I have to say—the seafood really lives up to the hype. We started with the giant tiger prawns (grilled to perfection, juicy and full of that fresh ocean flavor) and moved on to the garlic shrimp and clams, which were beautifully simple and bursting with taste. Everything felt incredibly fresh, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. Quality-wise, it's a solid 5/5—no complaints there. For the price, especially considering the caliber of the ingredients and how much we got, it felt fair and worthwhile—another 5/5 on value.
The atmosphere is classic cervejaria: lively, noisy, packed with locals and tourists alike, and that old-school charm with the paper tablecloths and beer flowing freely. It's fun and unpretentious, which I appreciated.
That said, I wasn't entirely won over by the overall experience. The waiters were efficient and professional, but the service felt quite rushed—like they were eager to turn the table over quickly. Plates arrived fast (almost all at once), and there was a subtle pressure to order, eat, and wrap up sooner than I'd have liked. It made it hard to fully relax and savor the meal in a leisurely way, which is a shame with food this good.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely, especially if you're craving top-notch seafood and don't mind a bustling, high-energy vibe. Just go in knowing it might feel a bit hurried—perfect for some, but it left me wanting a slightly more relaxed pace. Still, worth a visit! Overall, I'd rate it 4/5 stars
