The Archivist is everything that's wrong with vintage stores right now.
First off : the prices are really not realistic towards their worth. I can find the same pieces by Yamamoto, Watanabe , Margiela,... way cheaper in similiar stores ( with better selections) in Belgium.
When I visited the store this past weekend I was met with very unprofessional staff. I wanted to try on 3 pieces but was told I couldn't try them on , because one of the staff members was filming himself for an online video (!).
I couldn't even properly look at the store selection because of this.
After I selected 3 pieces to try on I was told , very sassily, by one of the staff members that I could only try out 5 pieces at a time (?).
I have no idea why this was said to me.
After waiting for over 10 minutes with my 3 pieces, I decided to leave without trying anything on.
I could have potentially been a paying customer but the staff deemed themselves above that.
Selecting staff for a store says a lot about the insight and reputation of a self-respecting business.
I know enough to never visit this store again.
