It's one of my favorite places. Views of beautiful Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean! Whales and marine life! Hiking, Golf, and Biking with great views! The Best Clam Chowder! Wine tasting! Farmers markets! Fresh local strawberries, artichokes, and more! Shopping! It's a beautiful place with so many things to do!

Private - Membership only (or as a guest WITH a member) - great additional location to enjoy "as a visitor" during the AT&T Pro-Am Golf Tournament, or an event if invited... they throw some phenomenal Banquet Events, and have a few stunning locations to grab a drink, have a bite or enjoy a round of golf.... again, as a member or their guest......

Best golf course in the pebble area and yes it's better than Cypress, Spyglass, and Pebble unequivocally. Course is always in pristine shape, restaurant food is fantastic and at a ridiculously low price, and club house amenities are off the hook. Great practice facilities and you get two great courses both with spectacular views. This should be in the top 10 courses in the US.

Visiting friends at Pebble Beach and celebrating a fun-filled birthday party with a western theme held at the Monterey Peninsula Country Club. A great time with amazing views surrounded by good friends.

First class facility, world class golf course. Was treated like a celebrity from the parking lot to finishing the round.

I've been fortunate enough to play many of the great private and public golf courses in California, and these two--Dunes and Shore--are my favorites of all the courses I've played. (Rustic Canyon is runner up, but it's not that close). They are stunning in every way and then some other ways, too. Wow. Just wow. It's hard to believe there are people who get to play these courses whenever they want to. Again, wow.

Situated along the Monterey Peninsula I completed my work around the famed 17 mile drive with the most private of courses. How private? 1100 members and you can only play if you are a member (must be invited) or invited as a guest. Now I have played MPCC , Spyglass, Pebble (twice) , Cypress and Poppy. If you are fortunate to play this course, the Dunes is actually the more prestigious over the Ocean/Shore course. Most members walk with a push cart. Although I am used to carrying my own bag, I am glad I used a push cart. Our round started at 11am and ended at almost 3pm on the dot. The course has likely the most undulating greens I have ever played, so bring your short game and be prepared for 3 putts. As a middle handicapper I highly recommend playing the blue tees. The white tees were probably a little too close for me. I played true to my 17 handicap bogeying every hole except the 18 handicap signature 14th hole. The amenities were all there. Tees, ball markers, balls, score cards, water, towels, etc. They even had golf carts available on the 11th hole in case you were running late or got tired and wanted to ride the rest of the way. If you are knit-picking the only bad part is a restaurant that isn't available til the 12th hole or someone driving around with a food cart. Some points of note. There is no signage telling you what hole you are on so it is good to be playing with a member. Covid protocols are in place so it is wise to bring ID and vaccination. No shorts or jeans are allowed. Pants and collared shirts are required and the shirts must be tucked in. Women must also wear gear that goes to the calf. My friend's wife was wearing expensive designer jeans and even she knew to go inside and buy a whole new wardrobe for the day. The course was well manicured and one of the most naturally beautiful courses I have ever played. All the staff were exceptional, friendly, and attentive.

My sister is a member of this exclusive golf club. We were invited to dinner. It is still preferable to eat outside post Covid, although the dining room has floor to ceiling windows and great views. There had been some tournament that day so the dinning room was fairly unoccupied and the outside fire pits were virtually empty. We were seated at a fire pit with spectacular views of the course and the ocean in the distance. It was dusk too, so a family of about 7 deer were having their dinner on the course not 40 feet from us - just lovely! It is so funny the menu here is "subsidized" - not really the right word, but menu prices are sort of "at cost" - which means dirt cheap prices in a VERY exclusive environment. My husband and I ordered the calamari - which was really calamari, scallops and shrimp. The guy running the fryer really knows his trade..YUM, and there were pieces of fried lemon in there too! We split the (short rib) Burger (I think it was $9)- comes with a slice of pork(!) on it with cheese and lettuce & tomato. Also some fantastic shoestring fries (like McDonalds). I ordered the baked pasta with pork and mushrooms (I think it was $12), - it comes in a little french onion soup container and is covered in melted cheese. Served with carrots and some Kale (or spinach?) on the side. We took half of both home. For dessert we ordered the warm cookies (2 of each: snickerdoodles, peanut butter and chocolate chip) $5. Would love to go back anytime I m invited. Bathrooms are very fancy!

One of the most amazing country clubs in the United States. The golf courses are tremendous. Food is great.

Had the best Prime NY Strip. Cooked to perfection. 5 speres of asparagus with roasted potatoes Salad was fantastic Great atmosphere And the wait staff is surberb

What a treat! MPCC is all that and more! As one of the courses for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, you know it has to be special. I had the privilege of playing the Shore Course with its beautiful views along the 17-Mile Drive. The course was immaculate though and through. The most memorable part of this course are the greens. They are super-fast and track very true. The attendants were friendly and very helpful. There is a nice driving range just beyond the parking lot. Hope to be back soon!

Just played both the Shores and Dunes 4 times last week. Even played both of them the same day. They are the experience of a life time. If you get the chance to get on these courses you can not pass up the opportunity. The Shores Course with fourteen holes down by the ocean is wonderful. The fairways are the most beautifully tight fairways you will ever play. Play the new gold (champions) tees to get the real feel for this course. My host bet me I would not find a weed anywhere on the tee, fairway or green - I gladly paid the $5.00 bet. Wedged between Spanish Bay and Cypress Point God meant there to be two great courses.

To quote Ferris Bueller " It is so choice, if you have the means I highly recommend it."

We have had the best time everytime we have played here. Glad to have a friend with a membership which is really expensive to join if you could get in. I love the men's club and the free appetizers later in the afternoon. We had an excellent sand dab taco which were three tacos and some vegetable for $10. Loved the sand dabs with or without the tortillas. The range and putting greens were very helpful as the shore course has very nice but challenging greens. The service and staff were great. No tipping is needed as this is an upscale country club and it is not necessary. I would love to join here if I could afford the $225K fee with the $700 monthly charge to play golf.

In town for Pebble beach Golf Trip and friend of ours is a member here and we were lucky enough to score a round on the Shore Course... Small basic clubhouse with very little amenities that I saw. If there is a large area for catering or events we were not privy so I'll just rate the golf course itself. From an Esthetic point of view this place is a 10... with rolling fairways that take you down to the ocean around and back. Vistas that were incredible.. Fairways are like most greens very hard and fast but so tight that you had trouble getting the ball air born at times. Greens themselves were Lighting fast depending on the direction of the putt. Staff very friendly ... Knocks off their wonderful driving range has different grass then the course which makes it difficult to get a feel. $452.00 price tag for guests... well I think that # speaks for itself... Great Track, wonderful layout but need to tweak a few things to get that coveted 5 star rating.

A truly extraordinary location for an event with unparalleled views from nearly every portion of the property. We've worked with the Monterey Peninsula Country Club on a private event and found Khadija and her staff to be accommodating, creative and wonderful to work with. I highly recommend this as a location to consider for a wedding, corporate event or other special event. Truly unparalleled.

Today, I scratched a round of golf off of my bucket list. I finally got to enjoy a round of golf at Monterey Peninsula Country Club. I've played Cypress, Pebble, Spyglass, Poppy Hills and Spanish Bay - so MPCC was definitely needed to finish off "the gauntlet." We had a 12:30 tee time, and lucked into playing the more popular "Shore Course." The course was stunning. It plays a little short, which means there is all kinds of other trouble that you can get into on the course. Given the names of the courses, Shore and Dunes - you know that you will definitely have a lot of sand in play. The whipping wind also played a major factor on the holes that line the Pacific. Holes 5 through 13 have spectacular views of the ocean - not quite Pebble or Cypress - but stunning nonetheless. A lot of homes line many of the holes, which can sometimes be an eyesore... but not these homes. The course had a little bit of character too. There aren't really traditional paved cart paths, most of these paths led you right through the bunkers that surround this course. Kinda cool to drive through a bunker... Also, there were two holes with breathtaking tee boxes. Each were built up on a cluster of boulders with a natural stairway that led you to the top. You gotta love a creative elevated tee box with views for days... Bummer that the Pro Shop doesn't allow guests to make purchases. I was gonna go off in there... 5 stars!

The Shore course is gorgeous. It's a private club so you'll have to visit with someone who belongs, or you may drive between the course and the ocean on the 17-mile drive in Pebble Beach where you can see many of the holes.

Stop by around sunset to hear live bagpipes and watch the sunset over the shore. Grab a glass of wine and sit by the fire pits outside. The scenery is breath taking!

Dunes course is nice, Shore course is nicer. Members are allowed to bring guests. Guests cannot make purchases at the pro-shop. You also need to be accompanied by a caddy. There is much hype since this is a members only club, but I still prefer the Duke's Club (PB)!

Without a doubt, the best 36 holes and golf practice facility on the peninsula. If you have a chance to play here, take the opportunity and enjoy.

When my little Bro got married, MPCC totally took care of everything and the food was great. There was a Thursday Dinner, A BBQ, and then of course the main meal at the Country Club the day of the wedding. Everything was great!!! The food, the location, the service, unfortunately when we had the BBQ at my folks place,we weren't able to keep the leftover food, must be some policy of MPCC. This is just a great spot, whether you come here for a meal, golf, or an event. MPCC is pretty sweet!!!

Played here as a guest last year, on the Dunes Course. I hear the Shore Course is nicer, and will be part of the AT&T rotation next year when the tour rolls through. The Dunes course is good, nice layout, but was a little shoddy when I played it. Honestly, I enjoyed the round and appreciated being an insider for a day, but for pure golf Spanish Bay is better and with better views. Of course, If you can get on, by all means give it a try, you will love it.

Played the Shore Course today for the second time with a friend who is a member. Magnificent golf experience. Two couples played in 3:45 and never waited on the group in front or saw a group behind. Depending on the tee you choose, most holes require shot making rather than bombing from the tee. Greens are excellent, but combination of gravity, grain and ocean make them difficult to read. Usually surprisingly quick. Clubhouse complex (pro shop, men's locker room, ladies locker room, dining) spacious, elegant and with great views. Staff friendly and very competent. First place I've ever had a tip refused. If you are fortunate, put it on your bucket list.
