Whit's Frozen Custard

A hidden gem in the heart of Hillsboro! This little ice cream shop is absolutely delightful. Nestled right in the center of town, it’s the perfect stop for a sweet treat after exploring the area. The flavors are creative and delicious—everything from classic vanilla to unique seasonal specials. You can tell they use fresh, quality ingredients in every scoop. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. If you’re in Hillsboro and craving ice cream, this spot is a must-visit!

Super delicious and welcoming. Tons of flavors and toppings. Looking forward to eating the ice cream sandwich on my next visit. They have cakes and to go pints! Yumm 10/10

For those who do not consume eggs, please note that this product is custard, not ice cream, and it is made with egg yolks. Unfortunately, the staff is trained to deceive the customer saying is “a lighter version of ice cream.” If you require a vegan option, there is one available in the refrigerator. While the flavor is not tasty and the texture is extremely hard, it does provide an alternative.

Whit's is a great local shop with very tasty custard and super friendly staff. Every day they offer chocolate and vanilla with 2 other rotating flavors. You can use these 4 flavors plus tons of topping options to build your dessert, or you can choose one of their pre- designed treats. It's also very reasonably priced. I'll be a returning customer.

Flavor of the day- Lemon Rasberry Cheesecake. It was lemon raspberry with Cheesecake bits - truly refreshing. Staff extremely efficient and polite. Worth a visit!

YUMMMMMMMMY!!! I had what is called 'Penguins Tracks' can't remember what all it had in it...maybe caramel and brownie bits..not sure but boy was it delicious!! They also do ice cream cakes and sell custard in larger amounts to take home. I would def. Come back again even tho I'm typically not big on ice cream. But this a great treat even for someone to try. I got mine in a mini size so I wouldn't spoil my dinner. They have a area to sit inside or outside as well. Thrilled that this place is in Hillsborough also since there's not many like it around.

Very cozy little place, lots of delicious flavors and super kind friendly stuff work here. Truly recommend this ice cream store even it’s not homemade so good.

I had my very first custard here! They seriously don't skimp out on the toppings. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The tar heel treat was so yummy!
