"A Sweet Story In 1950, two halwais —or confectioners—from the Rajasthani city of Bikaner ventured to big city of Delhi to ply their traditional snacks together. Setting up a stall in the Old Delhi Chadni Chowk market, they crafted sweet and savory treats like rasgollas (cheese dumplings in a sugary syrup) and Bikaner bhujuia (fried flour and lentil crisps), based on family recipes—and soon became so well-knownthatthe people of Delhi bestowed them with the nickname of “Bikanervalas,” in honor of their hometown. Today, the brand has over 50 outposts across India, from the Himalayan foot hills of Dehradun and the Mumbai airport to the upscale Hyderabad neighborhood of Banjara Hills, but that Old Delhi original remains. Come for classics like till chikki (nut brittle squares with sesame seed and brown sugar), rich halwas and milk cakes, fruit-and-nut chocolates, and more, as well as seasonal choices. All of the locations are casual, but some are take-out shops only, while other serve a fast-food menu of chaat, Indian and Continental main dishes (including parathas, veggie burgers, and pizzas), desserts, and shakes."

3/5 Stars - Reliable North Indian Fare and Fantastic Sweets! Bikanervala is my go-to when I'm craving reliable, authentic North Indian snacks and a guaranteed burst of sweetness. My recent visit confirmed its status as a consistently good option for family dining. We ordered the Chole Bhature and the Raj Kachori, and both were excellent. The bhatura was perfectly light and crisp, and the chole masala had that perfect tangy and spicy punch. The Raj Kachori, a multi-layered explosion of chaat flavors, was fresh and well-assembled—a delightful treat! Their commitment to taste consistency across their locations is truly impressive. The real highlight, however, remains the sweet section. Their Gulab Jamuns are soft, soaking in a fragrant syrup, and are simply divine. I always leave with a box of their rasgullas and laddoos—the quality of their mithai is genuinely top-notch and reminds me of traditional Indian sweet shops. While the food is great, the self-service system can make the dining hall a bit chaotic, especially on weekends when it gets incredibly crowded. Service is efficient at the counters, but finding a clean, empty table during peak hours can be a challenge. Overall, for an authentic and satisfying Indian meal and the best sweets, Bikanervala is a fantastic choice, just try to visit on a weekday to avoid the rush!

Heavily crowded, we tried lassi, it was good thick & creamy, if you are tired from shopping in chandni chowk, cold sweet lassi is the best option to calm your body

Typical north Indian food, chole bhature, pav bhaji, Raj kachori is that's what you are craving for then this is it. Food is above average, presentation is okay. The negatives is the joint is quite far from the main station, no sitting area what so ever, small space, crowded. In short it's not highly recommend but can give it a short.

Yesterday, I get very bad experience at Bikanerwala chandni chowk. I ordered two glasses of rabdi faluda when I started to eat, I realised faluda has not cooked properly. I complaint to the shef who is available in the live kitchen. He said "ye to esa hi hota hai" then I urge to him please taste it but he denied to taste. I am fully upset to see his reaction. Suddenly my mind do question to myself why he doesn't taste faluda, its stale or prepared by unhygienic way ? if their shefs not convenient to taste their own dishes so how can they serve their dishes to customer? who is responsible if food poisoning is happen with someone? #bikanervala #chandnichowk #rabdifaluda #stalefood #halfcookedfood
