Wattana Panich

I’m Thai and this is my first time eating here. The taste was quite average for me, and the prices are rather high. A bowl of beef soup costs 150 THB, and honestly, compared to beef restaurants in Thailand, there are many places that taste much better. That said, I understand the value of this place as an old, long-established restaurant. The restaurant was very crowded with foreign customers. Parking is limited and you need to find street parking nearby.

Visited once about six or seven years ago and remembered it being much better. Returned today only to be served an incredibly bland version of both the beef and the lamb. The herbs on the lamb were not even properly cooked. Such a stark contrast to my previous visit, and quite disappointing. No AC and it’s a very hot place. I will probably not return again. A positive note is the staffs are very polite. THB350 for both Dec 2025

I visited this local-style restaurant and absolutely loved it! Their most popular dishes are No.1 Goat Stew, No.3 Gao-Lao, and No.6 Fine Noodles served with sliced beef, stewed beef, and beef balls — all of them looked amazing. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was just as delicious as you’d expect from a Michelin-recognized place. Even though the weather was hot and the restaurant was warm inside, every bite was so satisfying. It felt like having a bowl of pure nourishment and comfort food. Highly recommended!

Watthana Panich is a true legend in Bangkok with a beef soup thats been boiling for 50 years. Seriously, they keep adding more beef broth, but they never change the pot completely. It’s been boiling since Michael Jackson first did the moonwalk. For a soup as old as my uncle, it is incredibly delicious. I stayed in Watthana neighborhood and went here 8 times in 2025, and I dream of the day I can return (well maybe I will go tomorrow) Don’t mess around. Get the Beef Noodle Soup, you pick your noodles and size. I make social media content about travel and food, see you around!

I was going through Michelin star reviews in Ekkamai area. Then that's when I found about wattana panich. The broth had a different tase which in my taste is a very positive one. I had the beef mixed broth with chicken rice. Made a good combo. Overall, was quite satisfying.

Recommended to try this so called Michelin guide eatery, soup base is unique. Be it beef, mutton or pork, all meat are well cooked and they are tender. Easy to eat. Good

This is a well-known beef noodle shop with a rich, comforting broth. If you order dry noodles, soup is not included by default. Friendly service — one of the male staff was especially helpful. If you’re Vietnamese, this is definitely a dish worth trying.

I'm still raving about the beef soup noodles I had! The broth was incredibly flavourful, packed with chunks of beef that just melted in my mouth. We also ordered additional beef slices - super tender. The beed balls were a nice addition, with a great texture that complemented the dish perfectly. Overall, it was a fantastic bowl of comfort food that hit all the right spots.
