Excellent experience, stunning view & well maintained. I visited in December 2025, right on the day of NYC snow storm, roof top was magical. Staff did good job in cleaning the snow. Igloos were well maintained & were heated. It was quite an experience to sit in a igloo & enjoy your drinks. FYI, your food & drink will be delivered in the igloo itself. Restaurant was just one level below to the rooftop & it was spacious, clean & decorated well. I loved the food, specially avocado toast, fries & waffle.

Celebrating New Year’s Eve 2026 at 230 Fifth Rooftop was nothing short of spectacular—and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that getting a table was the best decision we could have made. Having appetizers and a bottle delivered directly to our table as part of the package elevated the entire night and allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the celebration without fighting crowds. The layout was incredibly well thought out: despite being a packed NYE event, it never felt uncomfortably crowded. There were endless photo opportunities with the iconic skyline as the backdrop, making every moment feel special and memorable. The energy throughout the night was electric. The DJs were phenomenal, keeping the vibe high and the party going nonstop. A huge shout-out to our waiter, Abu Karim, who was absolutely outstanding—attentive, professional, and on top of everything all night long. His service alone made the experience feel seamless and VIP. The open bar was fantastic, and the round rooftop igloos were such a cool touch—easy to access, warm, and perfect for enjoying drinks while taking in the views. Even better, they provided robes for guests who wanted to stay outside on the rooftop, proving that they truly thought of every detail. Coming all the way from California, spending New Year’s Eve in New York City was a bucket-list dream—and this night at 230 Fifth was the cherry on top. From start to finish, it exceeded every expectation imaginable. Thoughtful planning, incredible atmosphere, top-tier service, and unforgettable memories made this a 10/10 experience. I would absolutely do it again without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone looking to ring in the New Year in the most iconic way possible.

The rooftop has very nice views!! The Christmas n holiday decor adds a perfect touch as well as the igloos n lights! Great places set up for holiday photo ops. They were out of joy chocolate which was sad news for me as I was realllyyy looking forward to that the most!

230 Fifth Rooftop Bar offers stunning views of New York City, especially the Empire State Building, which makes it quite an iconic spot for a night out or to treat yourself to some rooftop vibes. The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, with a mix of tourists and locals, and the outdoor rooftop space is beautifully designed, especially in the evenings when the city is lit up. However, the options for food and drinks are fairly limited. While the quality is decent, there’s not a wide selection, and it may feel underwhelming for those looking for a full dining experience or elaborate cocktail choices. Drinks are also on the pricier side, which is somewhat expected for a venue with such prime views. One thing that stood out was the $15 entry fee. While I understand that this is standard for some rooftop bars in NYC, it’s something to consider upfront, especially when combined with the cost of drinks or food. It’s definitely not the most budget-friendly destination, but you are paying for the view and experience. I wouldn’t recommend going alone, as the space and energy are much better suited to groups or couples enjoying an evening together. Overall, it's a great spot for a unique night out in New York (especially if you're visiting), but don’t expect too much in terms of menu variety or affordability.

In my opinion the drinks here were average, but the food I did smell, did smell good. I really liked all the decorations they put up for Halloween, definitely made it a nice touch. Bar tenders were good with questions and the rest of the staff was friendly. The highlight of this rooftop, was definitely the views, even in the fog, still beautiful. Bathrooms were small, but clean.

Great views, drinks are decent and decently priced. Food is okay. There may be some what of a wait to go up but it goes by very quick. I think the music is best at the main room. But for the view you must go to the roof top. It can be a bit challenging to find a spot or place to sit at fyi.

When we first arrived at the rooftop, what stood out to me the most was how well decorated the place was. They did an excellent job with making sure the venue is presentable. I also absolutely loved the view of the Empire State building in the cubbies we picked to sit in, which also had a heater since it was chilly out. We arrived when they were serving brunch, and I personally ordered the Chicken & Waffles. If I’m being honest, I was a little disappointed with the food. It was prepared and presented nicely, but didn’t have much taste. It was bland. Both meals here didn’t have much taste. I hope it’s different with their meals for dinner, but I felt as though a home cooked meal would’ve tasted better. Overall, a very nice place, but I personally would have rather gone during the summer months because being outside in the cold wasn’t that much fun. Hopefully I can try their lunch and dinner menus instead.

Atmosphere for Christmas was nice & fun. The igloos were great with a nice view of the Empire State Building. So cute for the holiday experience. However, the service was horrible! Food is ordered at the counters & You can’t order dinner until 4:30pm. One lady went up to the counter at 4:29 and the guy told her he wouldn’t take her order because she still has 30 seconds left and he was serious. Then if you want something on the menu that isn’t pizza, you have to order at a separate window. If they bring you out your food and you’re still in line, they’ll still try to hand it to you instead of taking it to your igloo or table. Also, the bathrooms on the rooftop are disgusting & small..like airplane small. Use the bathrooms on the lower level. Overall it was a fun holiday experience for the pictures and views but I don’t think I would go back for food.
