If you love books come here for sure the experience is immaculate and the collections they have js even more fantastic! If you love history you also might want to come hereee!! I really love the vibes inside, it’s magical ♥️ for sure you need to buy a totebag or a pouch for a souvenir cause again, it’s CLASSIC (and btw it’s point zero paris they said~)

Magical experience! No photos allowed inside which give you the purest experience of a bookstore. You can READ ALL BOOK, no plastic wrapping the book. There is a reading room upstairs and very comfortable. You can come without purchasing. Reasonable book price. Wide collection. Love it love it!!

Really cute bookstore really close to the center of Paris. Queues may form but it looked worth it to go inside! There are a few boxes outside for FREE books if you are a reader!

This bookstore has a big reputation, but the reality is more underwhelming. The interior feels quite worn and cluttered, with several single beds repurposed as sofas. There is a small reading area upstairs, and even if you don’t actually read, sitting quietly for a moment to absorb the Parisian atmosphere can be pleasant. Photography is not allowed inside, which limits the experience a bit. Overall, it’s still worth a quick visit for the atmosphere alone. If you speak French, you might find a book worth buying; if not, the tote bags and small souvenirs are probably the better takeaway.

We love this book store! It has so much character, so much charm and magic. You can’t take pictures inside so it’s definitely worth seeing for yourself! They have a great selection of books and just a great souvenir when visiting Paris. The kids section is also very charming. Lots of nooks to sit and read. So if you want a rest while touring, this is a great spot. There will be a line to get in but it moves fast. It’s small but so so charming. My kids definitely enjoyed going in there. Upstairs is a reading room with lots of old book collection and typewriters throughout. Just so cool the be in there. There’s also a cafe next door.

The staff book recommendations are top notch. I loved the reading room upstairs where you can sit and enjoy a borrowed book. No pictures allowed inside, so out away your phones and cameras. Go early, because it's a historic building and a limited number of people are allowed in at a time. They don't give you VAT forms.

Was here in 2010 and this visit certainly didn't disappoint either. The smell of books, literature of times gone past and those new unopened pages yet to be discovered just warms me up inside. We'll organized sections and floor to ceiling of books, glorious books! The history of this place is enticing enough. I bought 4 books, one from the 2nd hand section, one new and two from the collectors bookshop next door. My first book purchase here was in 2010 written by a favourite author Lewis Carroll, Curiouser and Curiouser. Friendly staff too. Thankyou 🤗

is it possible to fall in love with a bookstore? yes! the old stairs, the writings outside and everything may be romantic, but that's not the point - an amazing selection. such good book display in the cramped space , every "special " topic in the world is inside. incredibly valuable authors, publications dedicated to non-equal groups, a completely special selection related to Palestine, comics, selected women's rights books and much more. i have never felt so at home in my library in my life - beyond being popular, you should go to discover the selection 🤍
