"With its trademark steep and winding hills, a casual stroll in San Francisco can easily feel like a mountain trek. So naturally, you’ll need a backpack and DSPTCH has you covered. The store carries all manner of practical bags and straps, ranging from fanny packs to camera straps."

As someone who works in the neighborhood and has a passion for high design brands, was really looking forward to stopping by here to buy a gift for a friend. Where the goods are high end, the Customer service is beyond MID. While being extremely clear that we were buying a gift, the salesperson sold us a display item at full price with obvious open packaging, the store had no gift bags or tissue paper, and they had no options for gift receipts. When so many stores in the neighborhood go above and beyond for service, SYSTEM so far falls far from the standard. Next time I'll just buy direct from the brand- absolutely worse experience to be upcharged for open box product with a salesperson who can't be bothered to ensure a mode of return for a gift or a means to respectfully protect and present $150+ of design goods. SYSTEM made a real impression on me and my partner - a product designer who had been eagerly awaiting the store's establishment in the neighborhood- and it wasn't the kind of impression that we were hoping for.

I’m sure this place is wonderful if you are a 18-45 year old male in tech, as all of the brands seem very geared towards a very specific segment. However if you are not, be prepared for some extremely off-putting customer service. I came in looking for a gift, as they are fans of several of the brands in this shop like Teenage Engineering, Copic, Kinto and Bellroy, but upon entering and greeting the person working there, I was pretty thrown off by the silent glare and continued hostility in response. Instead of offering to help me choose something (one of the reasons I love shopping locally) he ignored me, and I noticed he treated several other shoppers the same until someone who fit the target demographic came in. Or, maybe I and other shoppers upset the dog that he was wearing. Anyways, there are many other shops on Valencia that carry similar merchandise and are willing to interact with customers!

Very small minimal store. Loved that they had Bellroy and Pioneer goods, since they don’t have physical stores I always hesitated to buy, but today I saw the line up and got to buy and take something home. Selection was good but would have liked to see a larger selection of edc stuff like multi tools, knifes, flashlights, and lighters.

Poor build quality at an expensive price: purchased a $30+tax Mag Reel carabineer that broke within 1 day of use. System could not offer a replacement, warranty, or a refund. Will not be shopping here again. Many better places on Valencia to spend your money.

The worse customer service I have ever experienced, I felt like i was doing them a favor by buying their products and they made it impossible for me to return the item purchased. They say they ship internationally but do not provide any sort of support through the shipping process and customs clearance as well as the return steps. You should definitely want to at least provide some support to your customer. Most importantly, the items are sub-par (low) quality and overpriced. Don’t buy, if something doesn’t go as planned or you change your mind, they will ignore you.

Cool shop selling tech wear and EDC gear. I purchased through their online store and needed a different size so I visited the store for an exchange. The exchange process went smoothly and the employee at the shop was very helpful. Its also great to see DSPTCH doing some collab merch with other brands, definitely going to keep an eye out for their future products.

Great store with awesome and cool brands! Throughly enjoyed my experience in the store. Staff was quick and incredibly friendly with helping me find the right product. Decor and overall store aesthetic is on point. Love the store and will be coming back in the future!

Cool local spot, I've been a fan ever since I bought a camera strap at the old spot in the Dogpatch. Bags and accessories made in the US. Awesome customer service. Sales people always happy to share about the history of the brand and the concept about the products. They don't just carry their own DSPTCH products but a variety of unique items you can use to step up your EDC. They also have some dope magazines that you can't find anywhere else like Prodism, Hypebeast and Brand Balance Magazine (B Magazine).
