I've been coming to Lisbon for decades now. I've only physically been able to go to this store twice because despite what it tells you on Google, you'll walk all the way up there and find out that it's closed. When I was here in the spring there was a sign on the door saying they were on vacation with a return date. I came back on the return date and they were closed. When I finally came back and they were open I bought two very overpriced European EP's (one was €40 and the other was €30) which when I got home and cleaned and played and they were completely inaudible and destroyed.

Without sounding like an old head here, the price of records is so ultra-inflated these days that I’m unsure that digging in shops like Vinil Experience is really a worthwhile pursuit. I’m pursuing vinyl singles, particularly European picture sleeves - Slade 7”s for €18 is a tall cost even in cherry condition - the boxes I rummaged through were chock full of crumpled covers & less than VG- records. The owner was really nice & accommodating & big plus for being a fellow Hawkwind fan. If you’re looking for deals & scoring treasures I wouldn’t suggest digging here, though.

The owner was wearing a Stooges T-shirt when I entered so I knew that it would be cool. It really is. He was such a nice guy and he knows his stuff! I found a couple of really good and unique records I have been looking out for. He has it all. Definitely visit here

I have a record collection in the US and I wanted to try to find some 7” disks to take home with me on the plane. The owner is really friendly, and he let me play anything that I wanted to hear. He even threw in a third vinyl and a pin when I purchased two. Cash only but there is an ATM very close. I knew what I was looking for, but if you don’t there are lots of options, including some current hits and some older music.

If you‘re crate digging for psychedelic bluesy rock music you‘ll definitely find a lot of '60-'70s gems in this store. The owner is very friendly and has detailed knowledge!
