Had our first night dinner here, it was super! Great oysters, mussels and crème brûlée. Everything I was craving and needed in the first night of Paris. The waiter (father from Morocco) was also super nice, great guy! Lovely ambiance and felt really like a local Parisian! 😁 definitely coming back here!

We had a wonderful dining experience here on our last night in Paris. We came to have mussels and they were excellent. As well, I had escargot and my husband had the deviled eggs. We shared the chocolate souffle for desert, which was divine. The service was excellent and attentive. This is a lively and popular restaurant and after dining here, we understand why! Highly recommend.

Excellent food for an excellent price in a beautiful setting. I went on Tuesday with my mom and had an indulgent, flavorful onion soup, classic escargots and a pepper steak with perfect and crunchy fries. It was so good that I came back with my sister today. This time I ordered the ravioli... Uhhh so good!

Perfect restaurant for a bit fancier dinner. Food was amazing and the staff so friendly. The only minus was that the place was quite full so there was a bit noisy. But that did not bother so much.😊

EXCELLENT! Our waiter was absolutely perfect and our meal was DELICIOUS. Honestly, we were all in seventh heaven with our dinner. My fish (bar) was perfectly grilled and the sauce exquisite. We had just a perfect evening that I can't wait to return!

Excellent French onion soup, moules frites with a cream sauce, and floating island dessert. Service was good and prices were fair. The waiter also helped recommend a good wine for all four of us.

It gets really busy at dinner time but we got all our dishes in a timely manner and everything tasted fantastic. Service was also great! One not to be missed!

My daughter and I were looking for a place that serves mussels, and we were lucky she found that art déco brasserie in the opera area.We started with oysters that came with mignonette, bread and butter, perfect as a light appetizer. The mussels were tasty, with a light cream sauce. Service was friendly and professional. We'll definitely go back when in Paris!

Food was superb and service was very good!! Great last meal experience in Paris. As with many restaurants in Paris, the restaurant can be one quite cozy and warm . . . In this case, we felt appreciated and well served. I would recommend!!!!

Typical old French brasserie, with typical menu, steak frittes and steak tartare, sole meunière, leak vinaigrette, great French fries and a long and good list of wines, not forgetting great deserts. Very professional and efficient service, nice atmosphere. Reservations highly recommended.

Not much to say. Everything was average from the food to the service to the ambience. Only if you're in a bind and can't find another place to go.

We thoroughly enjoy this place in the 2nd. When in Paris, we are regulars here and get a welcoming acknowledgement and great service. ...and occasional champagne flutes on the house!!! Of course, we Always have reservations when planning a dinner here. Don't just show up and expect to be seated without a reservation. You may be turned down and publicly embarrassed in that classic, brusque French manner. Don't be that person. This place is casual, great value for money. Stepping in here is a trip back in time with French classics. The bar is great to just stop in for a drink or two before heading elsewhere. Service is attentive and thoughtful even though the place gets packed. For special occasions, as with anywhere, the more planning you do the better the outcome. Don't just show up announcing a birthday, anniversary, or vesting of your tech options...and expect the red carpet treatment. Plan in advance as the place does get quite busy. Ambiance is great with patrons mostly French during our numerous times here. Though, menus are available in both French and English. Some English is spoken here.... enough to order comfortably and feel welcome. Come here and get a real taste of France!!

Food is very good and so is the service! They do check QR vaccination codes. I got the mussels and fries in cream and it was so delicious! Good wine selection too. This was one of my favorites when visiting Paris. Will be back!

I have been to this place so many times since 1999 but not probably that much the past 8 or 9 years. It was a favourite lunch place for one of my colleagues and I would occasionally go along with him...he liked his food...and wine...and would ask the head waiter to bring a bottle of Aloxe Corton....have to say it was very nice, but lunchtime... We used to go here quite often for dinner when we visited Paris over the years and the food was always consistent and reliable; plus it was child friendly Anyway, we met some American friends here last night...they spend a lot of time in France every year and like their food...I said how about there as we had to be away reasonably early and line 3 is just a step away On arrival, the first person I saw was the same waiter! We were shown to our table and well looked after, very attentive...it was pretty full, with a huge party of 20+ at the far end, having a good time Starters...the oeufs en meurette, 2 salmon rillettes in lemon and a marrow bone; mains were...the moules frites, a peppered steak,, the salmon and the biggest plate of choucroute in the universe. All were pretty good, but my steak was so so in one respect...one part as tender as can be and the other part old boots...and knife could have been sharper Washed down with a bottle of very pleasant Saumur Champigny, a bio wine to boot...(an aside...for those of you coming to Paris in March or November, there is the Foire de Vignobles Independents to visit at Champerret and Porte de Versailles respectively....while in May there's the same - though not always in the same location - but bio). My wife and I had two days in Paris together, and Vaudeville came at the recommendation of our Air BnB host. We decided to give it a shot, and came prepared with our minimal French language skills paired with the Google Translate app. Our waiter was lovely, patient, and spoke just a bit of English so with our powers combined we navigated the menu and had one of our best dinners in France! We started with one of the oyster platters to share, paired with white wine, and it was some of the best oysters I've had! After that, my wife ordered the roast duck, and I had the mussels with fries. The portions were perfect, and I had plenty of bread to soak up all the delicious sauce at the bottom of my bucket of mussels. I'm glad we adventured just a bit outside of our comfort zone and had this fantastic seafood-heavy meal. Thank you Vaudeville for the wonderful dinner!

This restaurant was a fabulous experience! The service was great, we didn't have a reservation on a very busy night & were still seated within 5 minutes. The food and drinks were delicious - I highly recommend the Ravioli & Escargot to start and the Cod as a maim. Overall, this was a great experience and I would definitely go back. The inside of the restaurant is also beautiful.

Classic French experience! My husband and I walked out of another restaurant the same night after a terrible food-related experience. On our way back to the hotel, we passed Vaudeville and decided to give their desserts a try, in an attempt to save our night. I explained to the host what had happened to us and the rest if the evening we were treated like royalty at Vaudeville. We had the Mousse Soufflée and the Profiteroles. Both dishes were exactly as they should be and we scraped our plates clean. We also had some drinks (champagne and Belgian beer). Thanks to this place, our evening was saved!

Three cheers for Stephan! The best waiter in the world. What a lovely human; so helpful to my boyfriend and I who only speak a little French. This was our first dinner in Paris after landing from the US and it was AMAZING. We started with a dozen oysters, then the chestnut veloute, salmon tartare, foie gras, and sweetbread casserole - what an amazing sauce those were cooked in! Our entree was the special of the day, beef stew, and it was perfect - came with delicious marrow, too. We finished with Stephan's recommendation - profiteroles- and the whole night was just heaven. Merci beaucoup to Vaudeville and Stephan, we are huge fans!

Its best days are behind it... We found this place for a friends reunion in Paris and I reserved two weeks ahead. On the day of, they scrunched us by the waiter's serving table despite there being better seating that was clearly available. This brasserie is open all afternoon but the waiter kept asking us to hurry our order. We got an oyster platter and several other dishes and a couple bottles of wine. At first they brought the most expensive seafood platter available even though we hadn't selected it. I felt they were trying to upsell us, but we sent it back. When the mussels and fries dish came out, it was cold. The sauce had congealed and the fries were soggy. I didn't try the other dishes but they looked fine, just very expensive for what it was. Honestly there are better places in Paris, but if you like black and gold decor and you're not picky, you might enjoy it!

So if you want to wait incessantly for mediocre food on your son's birthday, when they know it's your son's birthday and then get your credit card charged twice, this is the place for you. You might get a broken wine glass and cut your finger only to not get a bandaid when you ask for it. Our server knew it was a disaster and he was still incompetent at rectifying. The manager was a little more apologetic...then the lights went out and they brought out a cake. I thought it was for my son but guess what. Nope. For someone else. What an awful thing to do. Do not waste a meal at this place, especially if it's a special occasion. Waiting for a credit on my double charged terrible meal.

Amazing food and service. We were pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend. Nice outdoor seating like most bistros.

In Paris on vacation for the week and was recommended this place... it was INCREDIBLE!! Our server Chaima was spectacular and made sure we had a nice evening - her crêpes Suzette were delish! Thanks for a wonderful evening, we will most definitely be back again next time in Paris x

Across the street of the Bourse Building sit this 1920's classic restaurant. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was also very good. Their burratta was a great start to our dinner. My duck with chanterelles was prepared to my smiling satisfaction. My daughter's lamb with ratatouille was even better than my lamb. My wife and son both ordered the salmon and my son thoroughly enjoyed his dinner. For dessert, we shared a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream - yummy. Overall, our dinner here was a great way to end our trip to Paris..

I've been coming here for over 12-15 years, I visited Vaudeville two weeks ago and was somewhat disappointed in the waitstaff, they lost their proudness the professionalism. It was almost like going into a fast food place like Red Lobster, didn't even meet the level of a Cheesecake Factory. After all these years, it really hurts for me to give them a three star.

We got this recommendation the first night we flew in to Paris. The concierge highly recommend this place said it was a local French bistro. It was amazing. The filet, oysters as well as the service was great. The wine selection as well was great.

My 3 girls start ther restaurant experience in the Vaudeville at the age of 2, like ther mother... And is become a tradition in the family, now is my oldest one ho bring here son. The French traditional and french seafood style is slway the best.. And always diferent with the diferent Menu du jour.. The Foie Gras in diferent ways is the family favorit.. The Famous Sole the Tête de Vaud the Plateau de fruits de mer and more...

We came here around 9pm for coffee and dessert. We sat in the cafe section. We got the creme brûlée, the chocolate mousse, and ice cream. The desserts were absolutely delicious, and the place was a great find. Coffee was good. If their regular menu is as good as their desserts I'd definitely attend!

The restaurant is beautiful. The food was hit or miss. The cod and potato croquettes and Buratta with roasted tomato appetizer were delicious. My husband and I each ordered a steak cooked medium. My husband's was perfect mine was well done. The cod with puréed potatoes was delicious and the prawns were overdone. The food was average to above average but the service was appalling. Our waiter was stressed and rude. He saw that we were looking at the price fix menu and immediately shouted that they were out of the mussels and the leg of lamb special of the day as he flew past us to move to the next table. That left only one item for the main course, steak tartare. I tried to catch him as he flew past us again to ask if there were substitutions for the items that were missing and he very abruptly said No that's all there is. It was obvious that he wanted us to order from the pricier a la carte menu. There was no apology for lack of choices, no kindness on his part, no smile , no patience. He was abrupt and rude. I would give this restaurant 3 1/2 stars for the food but a 1 star at best for the service. We are not likely to return or recommend.

This experience was so close to being a generous one star, but the manager greatly turned two angry customers into two happy customers. When we originally got to the restaurant we had a reservation and were sat quickly. We were given a menu with no English, but being the foodie I am, I scanned through the menu and quickly decided. I called for the waiter just as the table next to us had done and every time he would say "one minute". A table of his four friends were sat next to us and he greeted them and rushed back with champagne for them very quickly. It was at this point we got up and left. We had been sitting there 20 minutes and had not even been offered water. The manager noticed our disgust and anger and asked me what happened. She then offered us another table and a glass of champagne while we waited. I'm so glad that we ended up staying. The filet my mom and I both ordered was cooked perfectly and was great quality. The Port reduction sauce was soooo delicious and the mashed potatoes were too. We had 6 Claire No 2 oysters that were also very good. Our second server was very attentive and friendly. I am happy to be able to write a good review from this experience and I would return for that filet.

Just 3 star restaurant... Everything was just ok. Our server was slow and careless. Dont expect good dining experience.

Started out - server annoyed because she had to retrieve an English menu. We did not speak French. Evening special ran out by 8 pm. Wanted to eliminate two food items from another choice, server would not accommodate. Answered me rudely. Steak was not cooked properly. Meal served missing the vegetables - had to request. Food taste was fair. Do not recommend this brassiere at all!

Good food, beautiful original 1920s decor, in the theater district but a good distance away from the tourist areas. The staff was so genuinely friendly and helpful, we felt like special guests. So reasonably priced we thought they made a mistake with the tab (they didn't). It was fun to see ladies dining while their little dogs sat there with them. The best meal we had in in town. Highly recommended. Next time I'm in Paris, my first dinner will be here.

After a long day of walking we came to this resto to enjoy all it had to offer. Lots of friends come here,so with reservation for two I was eager to start this culinary journey. I'll give this place 5 stars for effort and only 3 for the food. Everything is a bit over the top. The fish came drenched in butter aside of a purée with truffle oil! It just didn't marry well. Pan seared foie GRAS was too much and not served with anything that would enhance the dish. Btw if a restaurant serves a lobster, no matter the caliber, please clean out the vein !!!

Traditional French brasserie. Very busy at lunch, service was still on top of things. Our food was solid, not over the top, but good. I didn't walk away with any stellar memories, but nothing terrible either, just a good lunch with friends.

Good brasserie on the posh side. Dish names sound good but the dish themselves are not very imaginative. Sea food is however the reason to come here and they are good. Service is ok, just ok.

Wow this pace is popular. We visited on a Sunday evening and the place was jammed packed by 8:30 PM. Its got a great decor and the tables are set with 6 inches between them so if your looking for a quiet romantic place this isn't it. Sloppy job: I visit Paris once in a blue moon and don't have a local cell. My buddy makes a reservation at 1:00p. I show up at 1:00 sharp. He shows up at 1:01. Problem is: we both ask for the reservation at the same name and... they put us on different tables. I have a busy day, leave after seeing no one showing up only to find later that day that my buddy was there, waiting for me. How is that as a s**tty job? A restaurant that can't keep track of reservations and places the same party at different tables? Bottom line, I'll never set foot there anytime. Atmosphere is noisy with cramped tables: business model is "squeeze the most from each square foot" so you enjoy next table's conversation. Food wise, from my recollection is it's brasserie-style-OK with inflated prices catering to tourists. In a nutshell, don't go there.
