Bếp Huế

Some tasty food with Vietnamese ingredients and sauces! Great service. So good we went twice. Especially for the tiny clam noodle and the beef noodle. Recommend the rice cakes steamed in banana leaves with shrimps.

Tender, juicy and bouncy minced pork wrapped around lemongrass stalks, imparting a unique floral aroma as it’s grilling away. Served with a gloopy pork sauce, loads of veggies and some vermicelli. Banh Nam with coarser chunks of pork and an oily mouthfeel. They were sold out on two separate occasions for multiple menu items, and the food took a somewhat frustratingly long time to come out. The bánh bèo and bánh ram ít were both delicious, we really enjoyed the flavors and texture. However, the service was quite slow; we waited long enough that we started to wonder if our order had been forgotten. When the food finally arrived, we paid without double-checking the bill. Later, I realized we had been charged for several items we didn’t order. It was disappointing to discover we were overcharged. Good food, but the service and billing accuracy could definitely be improved.

One of our favorite restaurants in Saigon, that answered our cravings for Bun Bo Hue. A small secluded restaurant with lots of rustic charm, it is perfect for couples or a soloist due to the smaller space. The bun bo hue tasted amazing! Perfect amount of spicy to make you sweat a bit with a mouth-watering flavor that brings out the beef. We ordered the bowl that came with the bone (as they were out of cha). Would come back here if I ever find myself in Saigon.

I visited Bếp Huế at around 11:45 AM and placed my order at 11:55 AM — two sets of the restaurant’s recommended dish, which usually takes less than 10 minutes to arrive. Unfortunately, the food never came, and I had to leave by 1:20 PM after waiting for over an hour. When I first ordered, the staff told me the food would take about 15 minutes, but as time passed, I noticed that all other tables were served before us, including guests who arrived much later. Despite raising my concerns politely several times, the server remained completely silent and ignored my questions about how much longer it would take. In the end, we only received one Bánh Thập Cẩm. The other meat dish never arrived, and the restaurant tried to make up for it by giving us vouchers for a future visit. By that time, the restaurant was already almost empty. What was most disappointing was the sense of unequal treatment — it was hard not to notice that certain tables (especially the one with Western customers) were served much faster and more attentively. I genuinely hope Bếp Huế takes this feedback seriously. Food delays can happen, but communication and fairness should never be optional.

We both had Bún Bò Rất Huế and we loved the flavours. And with a couple of beers each it was 17 AUD Throw in the lovely staff and the small establishment and worth a visit if ya want some soup! Yum

talk about quality! delicious food Hue style, and they didnt miss a beat! the flavours are robust and a good representation of Hue style food! the restaurant is decorated cute and classic. service was great (despite they forgot we ordered a dish.. but thankfully they were on it straight away!) this place is teeny tiny though. decent for small groups but large groups is gonna be a bit harder to cater for!

Good foods. Customer Service is good. I have a little problem, then the owner decided to gift our group whole the meal. We were surprised on the decision, accept 50% discount. Nice restaurant, nice owner and nice meal for us!
