Peg Leg Tavern

Went here because I've heard the Sunday roast is worth checking out. They opened late (big one the night before?) but the roast beef was great with a fine Yorkshire pudding. The roast pork looked pretty great as well. Friendly guy on the bar and super relaxed.

Nice little English pub in Pyrmont that serves exciting cocktails and food. We went on Sunday afternoon and had their Sunday roast special. Great selection of quality roasted vegies and Yorkshire pudding. Friendly staff too! Great place for a quiet catch up compared to other noisy pubs in the area.

A nice English pub with a nautical theme. I Sunday's they have a Traditional Sunday Roast compete with Yorkshire pudding. Food overall was fresh and cannot be faulted. From memory , the seating area, one side is open to the street, which is nice when it's not too hot, as I don't think there is any air conditioning. Can get a bit noisy when loud cars/bikes drive past. This restaurant/pub is kid friendly. One the back of the menus are treasure maps more for decoration, but kids will enjoy just looking at it and playing with it. Shells and other sea "life" decorate the place and completes the theme.

Great little "hole in the wall!" Just finished a 3.5 hour kayaking trip and needed something to fill the void. The guide recommend this place so I stopped in for fish and chips alongside a cold beer. Very cool and comfortable pirate themed atmosphere. Food was amazing and the staff as well! Wish I lived here so I could return!

Love the Peg Leg Tavern, after all who could not like a pirate themed bar. Food is good. Cocktails are amazing The hosts are fabulous

We popped into Peg Leg specifically to try their roast dinner. Meat options were beef, lamb and pork. Really enjoyed the roasted potatoes & carrots, great Yorkie, very tasty gravy but a little disappointed by the pork, I know pork can be fatty but I must have been unlucky with my portion as there was a lot of fat. Nice little bar, friendly staff. Would love to see roast chicken as an option on the menu here!

One of the best bars in Sydney!!! Come to think of it, probably THE best!! I love it, all of it; the cocktails, the food, the atmosphere, the guys that run it...and pirate themed :) who can ask for more??

Ahoy! It's rare that you get American style dive bars in Sydney. The peg leg is a quaint and cozy little bar, with stools facing the bar. Good vibe, which draws an uncharacteristically international crowd which makes sense given where it is located, a few hundred yards from the casino, and a few more hundred from the wharf. Stop by and make your night a novel one.
