Loved this hotel! |I would definitely stay here again. We had a twin room number 89 on the 5th floor.|The only issue we encountered was that the drains smelt a little bit.|There is a free glass of wine everyday 5-6pm for guests. If you take the stairs, there are little positive reinforcements on the way up like a sweet jar and cookie tin. |Breakfast was good but I did not like the hot options so I stuck to continental, the sausage are more like hot dogs. There is an honesty bar where you can serve yourself which is cool! The beds were comfy. The bathroom was a decent size, actually the shower head holder was broke and needed fixing. The hotel is modern and has a luggage room for free to use. We also had a late check out. Reception staff were VERY helpful. The free coffee machine in reception could do with some instructions as it's quite difficult to use!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone who is wanting to visit Copenhagen! It’s in a great location for exploring, with just a 20 second walk from the main station and metro. And about a 2 minute walk from the entrance to Tivoli. Before you know it, you’re in the heart of Copenhagen and exploring the city. The staff were fantastic and welcoming, and were very informative. The included breakfast was lovely and relaxed, with plenty of options. The room was amazing! A very comfy bed and spacious areas to unpack and not feel like you’re living out of a bag. We had a room that faced the street and we slept brilliantly with no noise or interruptions. The black out curtains are fantastic! The shower was powerful and spacious with plenty of essentials and toiletries provided. Everything about this hotel felt luxurious and welcoming, and I’d definitely return.

The location of the hotel is very close to central station and is a short walk to the meatpacking district and Tivoli. The staff are friendly and helpful with guests. The wine offered during happy hour is a nice offering, and the lobby can get quite busy during this time. The breakfast is nice and offers a good assortment of items, but can become repetitive if you're staying for longer duration as the items are the same each day. The rooms are small and cozy, however the bathrooms are even smaller. The shower is directly adjacent to the toilet and is separated only by a shower curtain which will get the floors of the bathroom wet. A nice hotel option close to the train station.

A friendly hotel, not a vast building. Rooms clean and tidy, a good varied breakfast served in the bar/lobby area. The first hotel I've stayed in where you're invited to come to the bar between 5pm and 6, each evening, for a complimentary glass of wine. Also the first I've stayed in where it's an honesty bar, just list what you drink and pay at the end of your stay. I'd book again when I next go to Copenhagen.

It's a great hotel near Copenhagen Central Station. We were greeted entering the hotel and the staff was very friendly. We were on the 4th floor. Cookies or candy were available when you took the stairs between floors giving you the additional motivation to keep going. If you decline housekeeping, you get a bag of cookies and chocolates, free drink or discount on a bicycle rental. An organic breakfast was included. Sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese, fruits, juice, various kinds of pastries, coffee, tea and juice. Evenings, you can get a soda or drink daily. There are plenty of restaurants in the Vesterbro district. The room itself was clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Summer prices can be high, but if you can find a good price within your budget, it's well worth it.

The hotel is very close to the main station, which makes it ideal and easy for exploring Copenhagen. Although we were in one of the smaller rooms, it was absolutely fine for us. We were on the top floor and had a birds eye view of the street below. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. |The hotel breakfast was a mixture of cooked and continental with lots of fresh bread. In addition, there is free tea and coffee in the lounge when needed, and even a sparkling water tap. From 5-6pm each day is free wine and an alcohol honesty. |system operates at other times if you want a drink.|I would totally recommend this hotel for a visit to Copenhagen.

Arrived at the Anderson hotel which was boutique styled and felt less like a hotel and more like staying at someone’s home - in a good way. |The welcome was friendly and helpful with no large reception desk but just one person set to greet you.|A small 4 person lift then takes you to your room. |We stayed in 75 which was a small but perfectly formed room with lovely colours and decor. Molten Brown is the choice of toiletries and thick warm duvets are on the bed. ( one each always good when sharing with someone who hogs the covers) . |Breakfast was a delight , a great variety and choice again in a small but warm and comfortable area of the hotel.||Wine hour is between the hours of 5-6pm which was a nice touch and an honesty bar is available for all your drink needs. ||Nicely located between the meat packing district - great for restaurants and only 5 minutes walk from Tavloli Gardens. ||I would highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to visit again - hopefully when it’s not raining.

An outstanding hotel where you feel more like a friend than a mere guest. The location is a mere five minute walk to the central train station and metro and just 15 minutes from Tivoli. More than that its one of the best places I've stayed in terms of atmosphere and vibe - one where i preferred to stay downstairs in the foyer/ bar are rather than return to my room. The honestly bar, with a great selection of drinks, is a lovely concept while the teas and coffees are free. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice and no excuse to not start your day by eating well. The room was lovely with a Queen sized bed and a kettle for coffee and tea. I hope to return to Copenhagen if only to just stay at the Andersen again.

Chic yet cosy hotel right next to the heart of the Copenhagen. It is about 5 min walk from the central train station, has restaurants nearby, and yet quiet at night, despite our windows facing the Main Street. The breakfast was really good - great variety, from pancakes to cooked eggs. Sweet pastries are to die for!! They also have a wine hour, where you can get a free glass of wine and the second one for approx £3. The room is nicely decorated, as well as the main hall. There are tea facilities in the room, but you can also go downstairs and make yourself a free tea or coffee with the coffee machine.

Good stay Positives: short walk from Central Station, restaurants, grocery & Tivoli. Loved that our room had 2 full bathrooms. Good breakfast & cocktail hour. Very good customer service. Negatives: lift not operational for part of our stay (but they did haul our luggage up to the 4th floor and offered free drinks to all until it was repaired), some wear in our room and our fridge door wouldn't shut fully, our room lock stopped working (didn't realize it was unlocked all day while away -although afterwards they did leave an employee outside our room so we could leave AND left us some gifts for the trouble). Overall a pleasant stay for us. The staff was helpful and accommodating and the location was quiet and good for transport.

The primary reason that I chose the Andersen Hotel was because of all the great reviews touting the location. It wasn't the cheapest option, but it also wasn't the most expensive, and I was willing to pay a bit extra for a prime location. I had never been to Copenhagen before and was only there for a couple of days, so I wanted to make sure that I was somewhere that it was easy to get around from. It turns out that the Andersen is located right near the Central train station, which is in fact very convenient but 1) There are lots of hotels surrounding the Andersen, on all sides, which also have a great location and 2) Copenhagen is small and easy to navigate, so pretty much any location would have worked fine. Regardless, I was very happy with my decision. Hotels are just more expensive in Copenhagen, so you need to adjust your expectation for what you will be getting relative to what you paid. I got a great rate of about $160 per night, but after taxes, it worked out to more like $200 for night. In another city, you might expect more for a $200 room, but in Copenhagen what I got was a step above basic, but completely adequate. The bed / pillows / bedding / towels were standard but again, adequate. I had a single room which had a single size bed with a small nightstand, an ottoman, a small armchair, and a small desk and chair, which pretty much took up the entire room. There was a single window with a shade and curtains when used in combination got the room fairly dark even in the daylight. Pretty small, but normal by European standards and definitely enough for one person. It was cozy, and I was very comfortable. The bathroom was a decent size relative to the room, with a bathtub that had detachable shower head which could be hooked on to be used like a standard American shower (this can be a luxury in Europe, so I'm always happy when I see it). The TV had about 20 channels, only three of which were in English - CNN, BBC ,and TNT, which was fine because I didn't spend much time hanging out in the room. Wifi was free, and a decent speed. There was a fan in the room, so I don't believe there is A/C. I needed neither heat nor A/C when I was there, but if you think you will, it's something to look into. What made this hotel special and somewhere that I would recommend is the small "extras" - really friendly and helpful staff, treats on each floor of the stairwell, a wine hour from 5 to 6 pm (not great wines but not the point), and a nice morning breakfast buffet. Nothing to complain about!

Found The Andersen Boutique Hotel on a search and decided to book based on the many positive reviews. We are very glad we did! Booked a total of 5 nights in Sept 2019. The hotel is very clean, rooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms, hotel personnel (front desk etc) are so friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable and have good suggestion on restaurants, sights etc if you need them. The breakfast, which is buffet style is extensive and has just about anything one might want. It was nice to have a good breakfast to start the day of sightseeing. Added bonus of staying at the Andersen Hotel is every day from 5:00 - 6:00 pm they have a "Wine Hour" of complimentary pours of rose, white and red wines. Last but not least the Andersen Boutique Hotel is located very close to the train station. Just two short blocks and your there, A nice convenience.

Hotel is only 3 minutes walk from central train station, staff are supper friendly and very accommodating, rooms are good, well appointed with smaller but good bathrooms. Easy walking distance to Tivoli and Canal area Immediate surrounding area which has plenty of others hotels may pose a security question, it has some red light activity and late hours there may be some not very desirable persons roaming, hence vigilance and awareness is recommended

I was not responsible for picking this hotel but thanks to Eurovision being held in Copenhagen, all hotels were charging 3 times the normal price/fully booked. We came from the airport via train and finding this place wasn't the easiest although it was close to the train station. The neighborhood it's in isn't the best. There's a strip club a few doors down and a love boutique a few feet away from this boutique hotel. The location is still pretty central and convenient though. By looking at the exterior, I was not thrilled about staying here even just overnight. 1/5 What changed my opinion was the super fabulous and hilarious front desk guy who checked us in. He looked at us with 2 pieces of luggage each and said, "oh you ladies packed light, I see" and proceeded to talk about the freaks from Eurovision. All of a sudden, I wasn't feeling grumpy and tired anymore. 5/5 The inside does not match the outside at all. The interior looks so clean and modern - from the lobby to the room. They have nice toiletries by Molton Brown. Free, fast and reliable wifi. Free breakfast buffet with a good selection of pastries, bread, meat, fruits, cereals, Nutella, yogurt, cheese, juice, tea, etc. 5/5 Excellent service, wifi, breakfast, comfortable and quiet room are the only things that really matter. Although the neighboring businesses are questionable, we were safe.

This is the only hotel you should be considering for your stay in Copenhagen in my opinion. After having a terrible morning of traveling, staff was gracious enough to check us in early AND upgrade our room for free. Hotel is a great location- walkable distance to everything. Hotel is clean and has a cool, swanky vibe. The room was amazing- two bathrooms?! Yes, yes. The room had a hair dryer, iron and conditioner which were much appreciated by two females. Room came with a phone you could use throughout the city. Maybe one of the best parts--- free wine hour from 5-6pm....yes, I said it. A nice opportunity to mingle if you so please and also they have a wide selection of wines which were tasty. I cannot day enough good things about this hotel, is absolutely stay again! Pics may be a tad blurry because they are still shots from a video I took.

Excellent hotel. Perfect location in Copenhagen, easy to walk to multiple sites, lots of food and bars nearby. Close to the train station. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast was tasty, buffet with lots of choices. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I recently stayed at Andersen Boutique Hotel, and it is now my all time favorite hotel. They are environmentally conscious, pay attention to every detail and have unbelievably friendly and helpful people on staff! The hotel offers a complimentary "wine hour" between 5 and 6pm nightly. At around 4:48pm, guests take the elevator, the stairs and the front door to meet in the lobby, which is furnished with chairs, couches, stuffed animals, books, chess boards, etc. and wine. You'll find rubber duckies in your bathroom, goodies between floors if you opt for the stairs over the elevator. And if you decline housekeeping for any day in your stay, they offer you a choice of a gift. I could say much more, but instead I'll post some pictures. 5 Stars!

Cute lobby and hangout area for guests to sit and relax. The environment was welcoming and homey. The workers were super nice and helpful! They had a free glass of wine from 5-6 which was lovely. Highly recommend this place.

Cool hip hotel near(in) red light district. It's only 2 blocks from central train station though. The hotel itself is safe, daytime neighborhood is fine but after dark, not a place to stroll around. But after a day of sightseeing you'll enjoy the nice room and the 5pm wine hour is great to mingle with other guests. Service is superb and staff very helpful in all ways. I would recommend this hotel but if you're a light sleeper, ask for a quieter room

This hotel is centrally located within 3 mins of the central station. Hotel is cozy, convenient and our room was so comfortable. They have a very nice coffee machine in the lobby and you can use it at anytime. Their continental breakfast buffet had a good selection. Also, between 5-6 PM they have a "hygge" wine hour when you can get free wine. If you take the stairs, on each floor by the window they have a special treat :) Overall, the hotel is amazing. We will definitely stay here if we return

Had a single day and night here recently and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. I am often in hotels in Copenhagen and given the street address for the Anderson, it could have all ended badly. Clean, new, trendy and very friendly. I can recommend it but be aware that the street after dark is not necessarily somewhere for a romantic stroll. It's worth noting that they have complimentary wine tasting from 5 each day. Now that's a crowd pleaser.

Great hotel for quick or inexpensive stay in town. By no means is it cheap. The hotel is clean, has nice staff, offers a free breakfast, and is across the street from another hotel owned by the same company which offers bike rental, laundry, bar and other amenities. The hotel is in a red light district of sorts. You can tell that there are some "unsavory" characters around but isn't I was never uncomfortable nor did the area feel sketchy or unsafe. It's very close to really interesting parts of town like the Warehouse district which offers great food, wine, beer and other things. Overall 4 stars for me, only because the "standard" room I was staying in was a bit small for my taste, but ya get what ya pay for. Under the right circumstances I'd definitely stay again!

This is an absolutely fantastic hotel! First off, the neighborhood is not great- a lot of prostitutes at night. You can mitigate this by requesting a courtyard room. Although a bad neighborhood sounds off-putting, the service here is so wonderful I barely even remember the bad neighborhood. They have a fabulous and FREE breakfast spread that goes pretty late into the morning. FREE is especially great in such an expensive city! There are a ton of food options and we really enjoyed our breakfast each morning. In the afternoons they have wine hour, WINE HOUR! from 5-6pm. Again, free! The staff is super nice and very laid back. They gave us an adapter to keep when we realized we left ours at home. I recommend this hotel to everyone going to Copenhagen.

The Andersen is great in every way. We stayed for 5 nights in May 2019. Very comfortable, quiet room, friendly staff, amazing breakfast, and sweet touches everywhere. Highly recommended!

I've seen many comments about the neighborhood. We personally like this type of area. Two blocks down on Istedgade puts you right at the beginning of what makes Vesterbro interesting and trendy. Think of Brooklyn with its variety of independent shops and restaurants and you'll get the idea. We liked the hotel-the rooms are small but typical for any European city. It was clean and the woman at the front desk was really helpful. The breakfast was simple but good. The location, aside from being very close to the best of Vesterbro, is very walkable to the more commercial touristy areas. We walked past Tivoli in about 5-10 minutes, to the Strand in about 10-15 minutes and to Nyhavn in about 25-30 minutes. Overall, a very good experience in a beautiful city.

This place is quaint with very friendly staff. The price for the rooms is a bit outrageous considering the actual value you're getting. Overall it's not s bad choice but if you dig there are better options.

This hotel is in a fantastic location very close to the Central Station. It's a great base from which to explore the city. The reception is trendy with plenty of places to relax. There is free wine every evening from 5-6pm. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I know the temptation is to take the elevator, but there is a treat on each landing in the stairwell, so it's well worth the effort. The rooms are pretty small, but are mostly for sleeping, so I didn't mind. The bathrooms are even smaller with Stockholm showers, which I really don't care for. The beds are fine, but the pillows are kind of flat. The curtains are heavy to block out the sun and the windows open easily for ventilation. There is a TV that gets 20 channels, but it didn't work one of the three days we were there. The breakfast was okay. The breakfast staff are super friendly and helpful. But the choices are less than one normally expects at a European breakfast, but what is there is quality.

We so thoroughly enjoyed our stay here despite having flight issues getting to Copenhagen. The staff was sympathetic to our situation and made us feel at home. I think that sums up our entire experience at The Andersen. It is located within 5 minutes of the train station and has a warm welcoming lobby;comfy chairs with pleasant colors and surroundings (including the several stuffed bears. It looked like someone's living room or entertaining area. Everyone was very informal and we were shown how to access the tiny (old school) elevator. The room was cozy with purple hues and touches. The hall as well as the room smelled wonderful (pleasant surprises on every floor as you walk down the staircase). We were on the 5th floor and the windows opened onto a noisy active street so we closed them for the evening. The white tiled shower and bathroom were substantial and included a welcoming rubber ducky as well as high end toiletries. Breakfast was a small feast to the point that we only snacked while exploring during the day. Hot items, many meats, cheese, cereal, yogurts, juice, loose tea, breads as well as other items too numerous to mention. The Nespresso machine was lively and a great touch. It was a great way to start off a day of exploration. There was also a complimentary wine hour every day and many people lingered while talking and sharing the days stories. The location was very convenient and we could actually make daily exploration trails on the maps given out at check-in. Many locations that appeared to be far away, were, in fact very walkable (we are avid walking explorers). Initially you may be off put by the surroundings but looks are deceiving; it is a safe area. Being so close to the train station was great as we were able to linger longer and wander over to catch our train to the airport for the next leg of our journey. The staff was very friendly in a human way, not just a service way, we were always greeted coming in and out. They appeared to genuinely like their work and being there. Highly recommended, a few hotels (particularly the larger high end variety) can take some lessons in Hygge from the Andersen.

We loved Copenhagen and the Andersen hotel was a major reason why. The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was so much better than we had hoped, and the location was perfect to get to different areas of the city. However, one of our fondest memories will be enjoying the cocktail hour, sipping wine, playing backgammon and having friendly conversations with the staff and other guests for an hour or two each night. We could not recommend more highly.

We stayed at this hotel pre-and post-cruise and found it to be wonderful. We had an Amazing Junior Suite for two adults and two teens and it was perfect. The room size was quite good and very modern. There is free Wifi which works great, an amazing breakfast buffet (perfect for two teens) and backgammon and chess in the lobby where you can relax to just have some down time. The staff was wonderful. Very welcoming and helpful. In fact, my daughter left a much loved stuffed animal in the room that she had had since birth. When we arrived at the airport and discovered we did not have it, I immediately called the hotel and spoke with the front desk. They checked the room and the stuffed animal was still there. They were more than willing to overnight it to us back in the States and it arrived not only on time, but with a funny little note and "treat" saying it had enjoyed the extra time in Copenhagen. It was like something you'd see in a commercial. We would highly recommend this hotel for it's wonderful staff and accommodations.
