Riva Surya Bangkok

The staff at this hotel and the service they provide are incredible. They are all very kind, friendly and very professional. We stayed here 2 nights in the middle of our trip, then came back for one night before flying home the next day. But, I got food poisoning on our last night at a different location on the river. I was too sick to fly home as scheduled. Man, the hotel manager, was very understanding, concerned and helpful. Our room was booked for the next two nights, but Man arranged another room for us so we didn’t have to change hotels. He helped us with rearranging our flights and with the documents we needed for cancelling our original flights. Everyone on staff seemed to know about my illness and they all asked my husband multiple times about how I was doing while I was convalescing in our room. I want to thank everyone at the hotel for their kindness. The hotel has a lovely restaurant with both inside dining and outside dining on a beautiful deck by the pool overlooking the river. There are plenty of options for breakfast, but not as much variety as at other hotels we stayed at during our trip. Everything was delicious though!! Dinners were also very good both in presentation and taste. The rooms are spacious and clean but the showers could use some bleach. Piaow at reception is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and the entire staff treated us with the utmost respect and kindness.

Great location on the bank of the river. Arthit pier is very close by, so you can beat the Bangkok traffic by using the riverboat. Plenty of things to see and do within walking distance, so a great location too. The rooms facing river with a balcony are the ones you want. Good breakfast served by the pool. The grill restaurant also serves good Thai and international cuisine. Service is outstanding, polite and friendly. Overall an excellent choice!

Very attentive and friendly staff. We had room 210, a river view suite which I would strongly recommend for the full riverside experience. Room spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great location for food, drinks and low-key nightlife at Ram Buttri Alley. Also within easy walking distance to the Grand Palace and several Wats. Hotel pool offers welcome relief after a hot day of exploring with plenty of seating / lounging options. Easy to get Grab taxis to/from airport and other parts of Bangkok. Will definitely stay again next time I in Bangkok. Not a cheap option, however offers good value.

We stayed four nights at Riva Surya and it was a wonderful experience. The staff is very welcoming and professional, ensuring a seamless stay from start to finish. The facilities are impeccably maintained, and having breakfast every morning right along the river was a highlight of our trip. The location is ideal, in a vibrant neighborhood and just a two-minute walk from a major boat station, making it very easy to explore the city. The pool area is peaceful and quiet; although the water was a bit cool, it remained a very relaxing spot. A special shout-out to the check-out team, who prepared a breakfast box for our 5 AM departure! We recommend Riva Surya 100%. It offers exceptional value and, in our experience, surpassed the service of some more expensive five-star hotels we’ve visited.

This is my third time staying at this hotel and I think it’s probably my favourite in the city. It’s clean, it’s stylish, it’s incredibly comfortable. Breakfast overlooking the river is fabulous, with an excellent and delicious breakfast buffet. It’s also incredibly quiet considering it’s on such a busy road. I have stayed in both the city view and river view rooms and they are equally quiet. The staff here are absolutely delightful, i really cannot recommend this hotel more.

We loved staying here along the river. Great breakfast buffet with welcoming people. Beautiful pool. Loved looking out to the river at night. Very convenient for catching the river ferry to many of the sites, including Wat Pho, Wat Arun, and Wat Phra Kaew and the Grand Palace. Don't miss taking the ferry at night to see many of the landmarks in lights. Also convenient for walking up to Khao San Road.

Stayed at the beautiful Riva Surya Bangkok for four nights. Fantastic location in old Bangkok overlooking the river. Easy access from the hotel to nearby temples, palace etc and to immerse yourself in the local culture. Great size rooms and comfortable beds. The breakfasts were fresh and delicious, as were the dinners. Wonderful, happy, helpful staff. Highly recommend the Riva Surya for a stay in Bangkok.

The location was terrific, right on the river along with a beautiful pool and a wonderful restaurant that served delicious food. (I had a beef tenderloin that was humongous and cooked to perfection (medium rare), hot through and through. Juicy and delicious). Service was great throughout with staff always willing to help. I would definitely come back.
