Excellent night! Went out to dinner with my husband and his parents for his birthday. Being the day after Valentine’s Day and a weekend, the kitchen was out of a lot of things. But they were super cool in offering upgraded items in replacement of the items that we wanted. Our table ordered the special, the sea bass. We also ordered the filet mignon with crab jasmine rice. The other two meals were fish and shrimp, though I’m blanking on the exact names. The sweet potato pecan pie was strangely good! We were a little sceptical having only tried these pies separately all our lives but it is an exceptional combination. Everyone enjoyed their food. Staff was incredible. Atmosphere was sublime!

My service here was a 10/10. I sat at the bar with my friends for this experience. My server was Kendall and boy he makes the best Pina Coladas. I’m from the Caribbean and it tasted just like home. His customer service was really great and he was so kind. I ordered the Wild - Caught Snapper & Shrimp with broccoli and it was really good. I will be coming here for my Birthday. I’m looking forward to this experience again.

Birthdays, special moments, anything we’re excited about, we always end up here because it never disappoints ✨ This time we came to celebrate my birthday, and it was amazing as always. We were lucky enough to have Chris as our server again, and I genuinely can’t say enough good things about him. We had him a few months ago and remembered how great he was, and he was just as incredible this visit. He’s super attentive, very sweet, check's in at the perfect times, is so friendly and easy to talk to, and honestly makes the whole dining experience even better. Even just him bringing our food out to the table makes the night feel more special 💓 The restaurant itself is always a standout clean, welcoming, and well taken care of. The staff does an awesome job keeping everything spotless, including the bathrooms, which were very clean too. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and you can tell the team really cares about guests having a great time. And I have to say… if you come here you HAVE to get the Shrimp & Crawfish Fondeaux! 😩 We literally order it every single time as our appetizer and it somehow gets even more delicious every visit. The food always comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. Also.. another thing I always recommend is their strawberry lemonade. I’m a huge strawberry lemonade fan and I order it everywhere I go, and I can confidently say theirs is one of the best. You can actually taste both the lemonade and the strawberry, not that gross strawberry syrup that most places use and neither one overpowers the other, the flavors are balanced perfectly. If you’re into lemonade, it’s 100% a must-try!! I definitely recommend making a reservation, especially if you’re coming on a weekend or around dinner time. We went on a Monday around 7:30 PM and it was already a little busy inside. We made a reservation less than an hour before, just in case, and we got seated right away. Even with it being busy, the noise level was perfect, you can actually talk to the person you’re with and hear them clearly, which makes the experience so much better. We’ll definitely keep coming back, as we usually do! This restaurant is one of our favorites and always makes our celebrations feel perfect and special 💗

Keisha is an amazing server. She suggested items and she didnt faill us. I enjoyed everything g especially her polite excellent service.

Our server Kesha was top-notch. She gave recommendations for food and drinks, she was friendly attentive and gave off that she really enjoyed what she does and where she's doing it. I'd definitely ask to sit in her section the next time I'm here. Try the pineapple refresher, the Espresso Martini, passion fruit lemon drop, and the fork and knife Cobb. All of the food was good but I had the salad.

The service was excellent and accommodating to our large party so kind and patient as we enjoyed family from other towns to gather and celebrate a birthday. The food was great and even though we had one issue with a meal, the manager took care and really meant alot that they listened. We really enjoyed our dinner here and highly recommend it. The new hot honey gator bites were AMAZING !! There is a beautiful fountain outside perfect for after dinner mode.

I took my son's here while we were in town for a game; I had wanted to take them for some time for good seafood. It is always going to be a bit spendy but the quality is generally the same at any of the pappas restaurants and this did not fail to meet that standard. Great service, knowledgeable server, knew the menu like the back of his hand and when asked for a recommendation it was personalized down to how busy they were and the food was delicious....so why 4 stars.... This no longer feels like a lousianna restaurant. Gone are the seafood boils, frog legs and snails. Now there is gator but it tastes closer to a Asian Mexican fusion than anything. This now just seams like a seafood restaurant... You may ask is that not a bad thing? No per day, but the pappa brands were always based on their specific culinary niche and I wanted to give my kids some great and adventurous dishes from lousianna and found little of it on the menu anymore. Sad. I may come to a pappaduex again... But thats barely a maybe now, kind of sad

Absolutely love this Pappadeaux location on Research Blvd! My meal originally came out a little on the salty side, but the manager, Grant, went above and beyond to make it right. His professionalism and top-notch customer service were truly impressive — he immediately had my dish remade and even offered me a delicious salad to enjoy while I waited. That kind of care and attention is rare these days! I also want to shout out my bartender, Anna, who was incredibly sweet, kind, and attentive the entire time. The combination of great food, amazing service, and such genuine hospitality keeps me coming back. This location truly knows how to take care of their guests — I’ll definitely be returning again and again!

Got you, here it is with that line removed. This place is one of those restaurants that absolutely "scratches an itch." If you're craving seafood and that nostalgic, old-school vibe, congratulations, you've found your habitat. It even comes fully stocked with old folks! (I'm allowed to say that, I'm over 50.) The food's legit. I went with the fried shrimp because... come on. That's the seafood's cheat code... if you can't make good Fried Shrimp you fail. The sauces were all really tasty, and who'd a thunk it, the fries came in a very close second to the scrimps. Super fresh, dangerously snackable, and fully capable of disappearing before you realize what's happening. Overall, it's a solid, old-school seafood spot with a Cajun nod. If my parents lived in Austin, I'd be loading up the Family Truckster and driving them here asap! Also, the staff is genuinely friendly and super helpful... Cheers!

Why only 2-stars...? Well, the 1st one is for the cleanliness of the place. The second star is for the fresh fries I received, and the old-skool jams that were playing. The hostess station had three staff members there. The one who sat me was nice, but the one who spoke to me seemed to not want to be at work. My server, Ian, was very pleasant - though I'm not sure where the disconnect happened with my order. Ordered the Filet Mignon. It was not what I expected. While it was cooked to order, it was too tough to enjoy. For $50+, this was a complete miss.

The raw Gulf oysters during winter months are always tasty and plump. They offer east coast oysters now also. The fried shrimp fried catfish, fish dishes, and Mardigras pasta were a big hit. We also had the crab and spinach dip, which had nice lump crab meat on top . Our server was really great-- friendly and checked up on us throughout the meal. The restaurant is spacious but doesn't get too loud even when busy. There's also a nice bar area with bar seating and small cocktail tables so this restaurant is good for groups and solo diners. There is ample parking and you can easily make reservations online on their website. I gave it 5 stars because Pappadeaux is good at what it does at the price point it is at. There is a wide range of items on the menu for all types of tastes and budgets. For its category of restaurant, I say it's 5/5.

My family celebrated my grandma's 95th birthday at Pappadeaux a few months ago. We had a party of about 20 people. My mom tried to reserve a private room, but it wasn't available so we had two large tables in the back of the main dining area. As we made our way to our tables, the entire restaurant applauded (my grandma had on a birthday sash and tiara lol). It was such a sweet moment and I wish I could have recorded it. I started with the Garden of Eden which is a vodka based cucumber drink. It was very good and refreshing and I enjoyed the Tajin rim. For apps we had Fried Calamari and the Crispy Alligator. I didn't try any of the calamari but I did have a piece of the alligator. It was good, but extremely salty. For my entree, I ordered the Naked Snapper. It was very flavorful, but unfortunately it was too salty for my preference. It came with sautéed spinach which I enjoyed. Our server David was really nice and did a great job with our large party. When it came time to pay, he was able to split the check three ways which was much appreciated!

Haven't been to this place in YEARS and thought I'd try them out. The food was good. We had the sword fish topped with lump crab and pine nut chimichurri sauce with a side of truffle potatoes. I give it an 8, only because that potatoes could've been a little more tender. The sword fish was GREAT and I love chimichurri sauce, so that was right up my alley. That sword fish was cooked to perfection. The waitress called it "The steak of the sea." I would've preferred a tad bit more crab for the price of the dish. The truffle oil mixed well with the chimichurri sauce. The potatoes were, to me, a bit under done. We also had the fondue which is a goto for me and the flavor was still as good as I remember. She had the new coconut drink and I had a 3 wheel motion, both were BOOZY and hit the spot. The crowd was on the light side and the game was playing for those who watch sports. The staff were laughing and tending to their duties, some even had good suggestions on other drink to try on our next visit. All in all, we had a great time and a good meal, then left satisfied and ready to hit the couch to have a movie watch us, because we definitely were napping after those drinks.

Returning to Pappadeaux regularly has been a "go to" for my husband and me. You might ask what is the hook? Why do you two keep coming back to Pappadeaux? Short answer: great food and excellent service. We look forward to both the food and service. We are creatures of habit and generally order the same thing with little variation. Our favorites are catfish (fried for my husband and blackened for me). We generally get dirty rice but occasionally my husband gets French fries, which I normally have a few. Though the catfish is fried, it is not greasy and so soft you can cut it with a fork. The blackened catfish is plump and flavorful with the right amount of seasoning. Today was a little different because I cratered and purchased the Key Lime pie. However, I will eat it over a three-day period to ease my conscious. Smile. Lunch prices are less than dinner prices. However, both at lunch and dinner Pappadeaux has generous portions. "To go" orders usually last for two meals. While occasionally we will dine in the restaurant, for the most part, we get our food "to go." Service at Pappadeaux's is their secret sauce. When you pick up your "to go" order, they will verbally confirm what is in your order. They frequently ask if they can bring you a cup of ice water as you pick your order up outside in the Texas heat. The staff fosters a congenial and welcoming environment. Pappadeaux keeps us coming back again and again due to food quality and service consistency. Until next time...

Daniela also known as Danny was our server. She was so friendly. We were seated quickly. Ordered food and it came out as we requested. We split several appetizers and entrees. They were hot and delicious. Since it was my 55 birthday the manager came over and offered a free dessert. This place always delivers on service and food.

Always fabulous food and service! The Pappas family really know how to run exceptional restaurants! Outstanding decor but due to the popularity, it's pretty noisy. Definitely a repeater for us.

The food was great. I just wish they served it a little warmer. I watermelon and mint drink was amazing. I would definitely recommend that!

I always have a good experience here! The service is consistently great -- the staff are friendly and on top of things every time I visit. I also noticed the nice refresh recently, from the new uniforms to the updated menus, and even the food feels like it's gotten a little upgrade. Everything tastes fresh and well put together. It's clear they're paying attention to the details, which makes coming back even better. Shoutout to Mark - he was very attentive and anticipated our needs throughout the meal.

As much as I love this place enough is enough! It's currently 3:57. I've been waiting on my online order for almost 40 minutes. You'd think I had a special order or something but no, it's just a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Yes, I paid an extra 15% gratuity for take out even though they never brought it out and I had to go in and speak to three people about it. Finally someone proceeds to had me the salad which had been sitting on the kitchen counter for god knows how long... no refund in the tip, no sorry we messed up, nothing! I have to make better choices. The costumer service is nonexistent smh!

Always fantastic!! But fyi they changed the fried gator no longer just the fried gator with gator sauce on the menu. It's now hot honey gator. The hot honey is good we got it on the side. We like to go to Pappadeaux when it's in a city that we visit. There have definitely been some menu changes and higher pricing. We started with the Crab and Spinach dip for our appetizer. It was cheesy and delicious. My fried shrimp entree was great. One of our favorite entrees use to be the Cedar Planked Salmon with the corn and shrimp topping. That's no longer on the menu. The service was good. They had just opened for the evening. It's a nice size restaurant which has a bar area and an outside patio area for dining. They have plenty of parking available. They can get crowded you might want to make a reservation first.

This specific location has gone downhill. Pappadeaux is amazing but not this location. Slow service and way undercooked fish. Ordered a salmon and redfish meal and both were extremely undercooked. The server tries to say o our fish is "sushi grade" and that's how we cook it. lol. Yea right. Have been to several locations including the airports and never had this issue before. Also they forgot the scallops on the salmon meal. They did have a manager stop by to apologize but between that and the extremely slow service I was expecting maybe a little off on the bill but nope. In fact they charged me for 2 rounds of garlic bread lol. I thought they had free bread in years past. I will not be back at this location. It was understaffed, not really clean, and sort of loud for not even being that busy - that had sounds you can hear from their kitchen buzzers or something out into the dining area.

So lets start with WOW! It is all 5+ stars. So what is not to like..... hummmm..... well... nothing. It is seriously all good. This is a great chain via the Papas brothers, any location will be a great dining experience. The ambiance is always great. Service is perfect. You feel cared for, not overbearing. The food is so very good. The shrimp and crawfish fondue appetizer is a rich delicious blend of full size shrimp and crawfish with a heavenly sauce with spinach and mushrooms. The garlic bread is flavored with butter cheese and red pepper flakes. Yum! It is so very sharable. Now to the main course. I love great shrimp etouffee and this is a great one. Side of scallops is the perfect add on. Try 2 blackened and 2 seared! You want an great meal bring your friends and come hungry. Savor the freshness and the flavors. And now the pièce de résistance- the desserts. We had the lime pie. Ohhhh Mmmm Ggggg! The veruat has pecans in it! Comes with a delightful selection of berries and candied pecans. Are you excited yet! I am!!! The wait staff are charming, professional, dressed to the nines in B/W with bow ties and appear magically seem to appear whenever you need them. Not kidding.. Travel, be adventurous, love and enjoy!

A go to anytime I have family in town! Very classy space that can be a good go to for any occasion. I also think they have a party room that can be reserved for larger groups. The server was very friendly and helpful. Came during the Microsoft shut down, so there was a bit of a wait before being seated as they worked to get the computers back up. You get fresh bread while you wait for food. Great addition with our spinach dip. I went with a lighter meal, some salmon with rice and veggies. Delicious! I appreciate the mix of meal selections if you want something more hearty or more healthy.

The food, the service and the ambiance are all suitable for a good date night or lunch date. The service was quick and friendly. The sticker price "depending " on what you choose to order can be a little expensive but it's worth it.

Not that they need any more five star reviews, I just cant ignore the very pleasant dinner that we had on Sunday. Pappadeaeux's interior harkens back to an earlier time when the entire space was designed to project comfort and elegance. Add to that our server, Keshia L., who was a delight and we had a great time. Keshia was completely knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu which we really appreciate. Oh, and the food was delicious and arrived exactly as described by Keshia.

I visit Pappadeaux on Research almost every Friday, but after my experience tonight, I may need to find a new go-to spot. When I arrived, it wasn't busy yet, so I was seated immediately. However, I noticed right away that we didn't receive eating utensils upon being seated, which was unusual. That should have been my first sign that the night wasn't going to go smoothly. Service was incredibly slow from the start. It took a long time for the waiter to even come over and ask about drinks. Because of the delay, we went ahead and ordered our food and appetizers at the same time. My son ordered a Coke, blackened trout with fruit, and I ordered mozzarella bites, a frozen Perfect Patron, and water. The Coke came but no water. When I asked the waitress for my water, she acknowledged it but made sure to let me know it would be a while before my margarita arrived. By the time my drink finally arrived--right before my food--my son's fruit was still missing. I also realized that I still didn't have any eating utensils. I had to ask the person who brought the food to bring me some, which should have been handled long before my meal arrived. As I was about to take a sip of my drink, I noticed something floating in it. When I looked closer, I realized it appeared to have legs. Disgusted, I waited for the waiter, who took a while to return, and when I showed her, she casually said it looked like something from the lemon. I had to point out that yes it's something on the lemon it was a bug. She still did not apologize and just said she would get the manager. Meanwhile, my son had finished all of his food, and he's only 11. If you've been to Pappadeaux, you know the portions aren't small--so that tells you how long it took for the manager to come over. When she finally did, she also didn't apologize, just asked if I wanted another margarita. At this point, my son's fruit still had not arrived. When the fruit and my replacement drink finally came, the drink was on the rocks instead of frozen. At this point, I was over it. I asked for the check and mentioned that the drink was incorrect. Instead of apologizing, the waitress just said, "I didn't put in the order for your drink, but I can get you another one." Given how long it had taken just to get this one, I declined. Then came the worst part--when the waitress brought back the check, my card was missing. I was furious. It took her a good 20 minutes to find it, and when she finally returned it, she still didn't apologize. Nothing was taken off my meal, and after everything that happened--not even an apology. They truly didn't care. Despite all of this, I still gave her a tip. Honestly, I shouldn't have given her anything. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. I come here nearly every Friday and have never been treated like this. The service was slow, the staff was dismissive, and the lack of basic courtesy and accountability was frustrating. After tonight, I may have to rethink my Friday tradition.

First timers at Pappadeaux we loved our server Romaine he was so patient and kind if you ever come to this location please ask for Romaine he really made our first experience a m a z i n g one of the best service we've ever had truly such a pleasure to meet him! my husband got Texas Redfish Pontchartrain it was delicious and flavorful I got Crawfish Combination both plates were great we will definitely be back !!

The food: the shrimp and trout were good but the truffle potatoes brought it down. They were undercooked and everything just ended up being pretty heavy and buttery. The highlight was the watermelon lemonade actually. The vibe: the kids loved the decor and the kids menus with crayons. I would say it is a pretty family friendly place which I appreciate. Our server was awesome despite a pretty long wait for our food. He was always checking in and doing whatever he could to keep everyone satisfied.

Delicious, mouth-watering seafood, like tender Trout, Salmon, and Crab! Fresh, prepared with sides like Pasta Fagoli in broth; warm, crusty garlic bread, and Caesar salad. My server, Alex was quick to respond to our needs. He was well-trained in the nightly Specials. Ambiance was Chicago Speak-Easy style, with brass chandeliers and soft lighting. Prompt service, excellent entrees and a relaxed atmosphere will make this our family favorite for years to come! Five stars from us! Try it!

Pappadeaux was soooooo goooooood!!! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to your fine establishment! The restaurant was packed when I arrived. Everything was packaged nicely, and my to go order was absolutely delicious! I especially enjoyed the fried calamari and octopus with marinara sauce. They were so yummy! I'll definitely be back soon to try more of the menu!

Everything was wonderful but there was a hair on the corner of my plate half in the butter by my trout. I could have probably just removed it but it kinda grossed me out. I'm sure it was just one of those things and the staff promptly replaced it. I had to take the meal to go though because AI had a hair appointment and had been here for over an hour. I still love them. It happens I am always really honest on my reviews.

Don't sleep on Pappadeaux's like I have. Yes there are several gems when it comes to the Austin area restaurant scene, but this is one that never seems to disappoint. From the menu, to the service, and the portions size everything was better than expected. Went on a Friday and waited 10 minutes for a table of two. After being seated was greeted by our server offered waters. We order the crab and spinach dip as an appetizer, highly recommend with the amount of crabs that was provided for the price. For entrées, we split the Mardi Gras pasta with Alex sauce and the crawfish platter. She was able to divide the entrées into separate dishes, which was appreciated. So much food and of course there was plenty of leftovers. Will definitely go back for happy hour and have an appetite for dessert.

Stopped by this North Austin location yesterday afternoon. Anna at the bar was so welcoming, and extremely helpful. I'm not too familiar with the menu, and just wanted some suggestions . She gave me some good recommendations, it was great. Fun atmosphere, pretty lively for a Wednesday afternoon. They have a HH weekdays 3-6, need to check that out next time!

My wife had glazed salmon at lunch that was terrible. The server ask if rate was OK, my wife said no, she wanted it well done. My wife is a professional chef and knows her food and her taste preferences. The salmon came undercooked and it actually made her somewhat ill. It ruined what was to be a nice day for us. My fried shrimp was "just OK", nothing special. This particular Pappadeaux is not going to be competitive until they fix their kitchen and learn to understand what the customer expects. They clearly did not meet our expectations.

Food was great. Be prepared to eat because their portions are great. Some of the fried dishes were a little heavy on the salty side. But overall we enjoyed our dinner and we'd definitely go back for more. Service was great, attentive and frequent checks. Server was knowledgeable. We didn't like or seats, and they quickly relocated us to a better spot. This particular location is pretty huge. Great for large parties.

I have visited this establishment on several occasions. The food has always been great. I have never had a complaint, except this last time, they forgot to serve me my bread. They did give me a loaf to take with me. The servers are always professional and very helpful.

From start to finish, our experience here was outstanding, thanks in large part to our incredible waiter, Ian . His knowledge of the menu, thoughtful recommendations, and attentiveness made our meal truly special. Normally, desserts steal the show for me, but this time, the Salmon Alexander, my plate, and, my husband's plate, with Pasta & spinach , our appetizer, were the best part. Ian's recommendation were great on the meal, and the drinks. It's always a relaxing and enjoyable experience too, interesting artwork and ambient lighting sets the mood. We loved the new menu items most especially the spicy bread before our meal. If you're looking for impeccable service, fantastic food, and an amazing experience, please visit and ask for the manager Riley. He runs a tight ship, and is on top of his game. Great management!!!

I've been to Pappadeaux's in many other locations/states. This was the worst experience I've ever had. I asked for no andouille sausage in my meal and not only did they serve me the andouille sausage in my meal but they also had the nerve to charge me extra for additional crawfish in my dish which I didn't ask for. I know prices have risen but people, this is beyond ridiculous. You wouldn't mind if they had a decent menu from which to choose but nothing appealing at all on their menu. Pappadeaux used to be my favorite restaurant. It's been a few years since I've been there and to say it was disappointing is an understatement. I won't be back.

Came to celebrate my mom's birthday and we had a wonderful experience at this location. Our server Ash was incredible and made sure to check on us often. We had a table of 18 but split up into groups because it was last minute but they were very accommodating. We ordered a variety of dishes which were flavorful, although our Ribeye steak was extremely overcooked. We told Ash and the manager Jasmine came and took care of it which was kind of her because even she agreed that it was super cooked. Overall, I'm glad we celebrated her birthday there because their customer service was immaculate.

Food was quick, great, and hot as alway! Our waiter Gabe was great. We went in between lunch and dinner so the restaurant wasn't too packed so we enjoyed being seated quickly.

This location had an issue earlier in the day, which delayed opening until 6pm. They also did not have red beans and rice available, which was disappointing. Service overall was good. We could have had a larger table, but it was fine once plates were cleared. Our waiter was personable, and gave accurate recommendations, which were appreciated. Our food was delicious. No complaints. I got the crispy salmon and crab, which was perfectly prepared! I also had a caesar salad, which was good, and the table shared the shrimp and crayfish fondeaux, which was delicious!

Yesterday we took my mother in law to eat here. The food and service was good as usual. The issue, when my wife and mother in-law arrived, my wife was having trouble pushing my mother in law who was in her wheelchair through the front door. The four hostesses just stood and watched my wife struggle getting in the front door and did nothing to help. Unacceptable. The four just stood there watching. Not cool. This was between noon and two pm. The young generation today is worthless. Eddie V's and Tru-Lucks would not have let this happen. Now lets talk about pricing. What use to be a $34 plate of food is now $48-53. A fillet of fish, rice and some spinach for $48+? There is a reason why business has tapered off. No / very little value for what you get. The food is good. Its just overpriced.

Four stars because they're still missing updated systems. I walked in and Jessica took care of me right away. When it came time to pay, I didn't have my physical cards--only my Apple Wallet--and unfortunately, they couldn't process it. Jessica saved the day by offering Zelle as an alternative, which was awesome and really helped me out. The food was delicious. I ordered the dirty rice with salmon and another type of seafood (can't remember the name), along with a big side of fries--which I was joking about with Jessica. Overall, a good experience and I might come back.

I was seated @4pm and @ 415pm Mark another waiter was kind enough greet me. and Emilio the actual waiter assigned to my table,helped me sshortly thereafter. I will post again after the meal.

Slow service and overpriced. Too much effort in trying to be a michelin five star and not enough attention to the things important to diners.

Made reservations for party of 14, was told if my event didn't have any seating available we could be seated in the private room. Once arrived, no table was ready, couldn't get the private room after all. Was told private room was for weekends only, there weren't' any servers available, was only open for training day and it wasn't clean, all the excuses they could think of; as on the website it states Monday - Thursday availability. They couldn't push the tables together because it was against their policy, had to sit 14 of my guests in separate tables where we couldn't enjoy all of us seating together. It was 8 at this time, was reserved at 7:30, they close at 9. So, to me, this showed they can't accommodate large party gatherings. Why don't they state that on the phone when talking to them? I booked over the phone, not online. I wouldn't book another event there and it was a very special occasion for my fiance' who is battling "C" and it was his birthday, another year of being blessed to have family and friends. Food was good, servers were patient and nice but the accommodations for a large party, not equipped and the manager should of went out of her way to please the customer.

This was our first time eating at this location. We had excellent service , from our waiter Chris, the kitchen manager and one of the restaurant managers also came to our table. Our food was so good. The restaraunt also had good lighting. We will be back soon!

Service went to pappadeux Saturday afternoon. Restaurant was not busy. We were seared and then had to wait for waiter to come. Waited came after 10 minutes and got our water. Asked him to bring extra butter for bread. Waiter came back with drinks and I reminded him we would like butter. We finished bread and 15 minutes later they brought more butter. But the we had no bread? And our entrees hadn't arrived When entrees arrived 2 of the 3 were not correct. Asked for extra ranch for my salad. Only received one ranch. They brought out an extra ranch but the silver container was less than half full Grilled shrimp extremely salty Did receive birthday brownie which was good Asked for pecan pie to be heated and it was just warm Got the bill. No adjustment. One manager came and we explained our experience. Then another manager came had to explain all over again What should have been an hour or so lunch was over two hours. Not going back.

Ate here on a recent Friday evening with a 7:00PM reservation. Arrived at 6:45PM and was seated immediately. The waiter arrived promptly and asked us what we were drinking, and after a short pause on our part, he quickly recommended the Don Julio Margarita for $50.51...yes it comes with a show a good bit of tequila and a commemorative bottle, ...but really? So we ordered our usual drinks and some water, as well as the Mozzarella Cheese Bites. The Mozzarella bites were perfectly prepared, with a crispy skin and oozing cheese. The accompanying marinara was less than stellar, too tangy and devoid of depth. It kept me from eating more cheese bites. Adding a little heavy whipping cream and some spice would go a long way....This is a large amount of cheese bites, perfect for 4+, a lot for two. My friend ordered the Sampler (fried heaven) and a small Caesar Salad. The fried sampler came out hot, the fish and shrimp were crispy and tender inside, as were the chicken tenderloins, and the fries were good. The plate came with a myriad of sauces; ketchup, honey mustard, cocktail sauce, tartar sauce. The Caesar Salad was a good proportion, and the lettuce was cold, crisp, and with a proportionate amount of dressing. I ordered the Aged Rib Eye and a baked potato. I'll tell you the steak was delicious. Charbroiled, and although slightly overdone (that was actually my fault because I didn't want blood leaking out on my plate and I think they were over cautious) it was still juicy, flavorful, with great marbling. Both the waiter checked back in with me and then a manager came by about the steak. No issue - it was delicious. The baked potato was slightly smaller in size than I expected, but delicious nonetheless, hot inside with the right amount of toppings. Got the Keylime pie to go, was tart and delicious but kind of average. The dining room was not overly busy, but I would say three-quarter full . Our table was clean, the booth was nice. We had a good view of the room and it was not too loud. Often when you go to restaurants nowadays you can't even hear yourself think.; this is not the case at this restaurant. There are a lot of wait staff, support staff, and management walking the floor constantly. I appreciate that. When the table next next-door to us left, it hadn't been 30 seconds and they had cleared it, and there was a young lady there sweeping up beneath the booth and around the booth for any droppings that may have occurred from the previous meal. I can recommend this Pappadeaux's; I think the restaurant is well managed, and the food is solid.

The peach drink had a cognac in it...it was potent and very delicious. The oysters were immaculate. Perfectly cooked and excellent flavor. The complimentary bread wasnt cut and was a bit harder than my experiences at other locations not in the state. The server was okay. She didnt smile but wasnt rude. She got our orders accurate. I'm hoping it was just an off day. The ambiance was nice. Like many pappadeaux except with the beat set up that I have seen this far. I ordered grouper with crab and shrimp on top with crispy brussel sprouts The chicken cesar salad and fried shrimp and pecan pie were amazing per the graduates. The pasta made gras was great as usual. Of course all portions plentiful. I would return to this location if I'm back in Austin. Oh and the greeters were very friendly and kind especially the slightly older lady with glasses.

Being a south Louisiana girl, sometimes I need that Cajun southern food in my life and this s is my favorite spot for it. Food is always delicious. The decor reminds me of old south Louisiana. Drinks are always delicious and servers are very attentive.
