Sinyet chatjip (Shin Tea House)

Love Shin Old Tea House in Insadong! I’d seen photos and videos of this place online, and it completely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere is peaceful and cozy, with beautiful traditional décor that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. I had the Jujube tea, and Hangwa, which are puffy rice snacks that melts as you eat, which were delicious when taken together. The staff was kind and welcoming, and it’s also a comfortable spot for solo visitors. A true hidden gem and a must-visit in Insadong.

The tea house was a very relaxing ,peaceful and cute place. I tried Korean traditional tea called Black Herbal Tea and some traditional sweets. The tea was just ok, it was too strong and the taste was interesting. Sweets were all delicious! If you wanna experience Korean traditional style tea house, I recommend to go. But I won’t come back. Just one time experience is fine.

It's cozy and decorated with traditional Koean garden setting. It transforms a peaceful atmosphere that make you feel peaceful and enjoy the tea more. Perfect spot to unwind in this hustle and hustle city.

Chrysanthemum tea blossomed in pretty teapot and ginger tea were very tasty, with rice cakes. The tea house itself is very relaxing and well decorated.

Traditional tea house to experience. It has a very cute decoration with lots of details. We ordered some drinks and Korean ice cream. All were delicious. Teas were so special that 1-2 days cooked and served.

Serene comfortable tea shop. Great atmosphere and the architecture design brings you back to traditional tea houses way back past. Felt like it.

The Shin tea house saved me from the freezing cold in spring and the tea is very flavourful. The interior is very traditional and peaceful. There were desserts as well and they looked really good but did not get a chance to try. I got the jujube tea and Chrysanthemum and they were very nice with good ambience. But the free sweet provided is very sweet.

We visited this place to experience the traditional tea house and also to escape the heat in August. We tried the Ssanghwa tea and Jejube tea and both were very relaxing and delicious. The ambience was peaceful and host was very friendly. I highly recommend this gem of a place.
