Frankie's Tortas and Tacos

Absolutely love this place. The breakfast burrito was spot on, but the horchata matcha is the real standout — such a perfect combo. Creamy, lightly spiced, and not too sweet… honestly addictive. I come here regularly and the service is consistently great — friendly, welcoming, and fast. One of those places you keep coming back to because everything just hits. 🌮🍵

I saw this place by accident while walking by it in a rain day, the atmosphere seemed great from the outside, so i went in and annie welcomed me with her pretty smile & sweet talk. had a seat and ordered steak tacos, it blew my mind right away from first bite felt totally different than average Mexican restaurants that i tried before. and the atmosphere from the inside is great. The whole place is a top notch, definitely coming back again.

I had lunch at Frankie’s Tortas and Tacos, and it was excellent. The atmosphere is quirky, and even though the place was very busy, I was seated right away. I ordered the flautas (three), and they were delicious. A bit on the pricey side for what you get, but still very good overall. Street parking available, but it's a very busy neighbourhood.

I’ve been wanting to go here for the longest time! For Mexican food I would usually get @guzmanygomez or @madmex or making it at home, however after eating here and having the street tacos I’m not sure I can go back 😅 • With the extensive menu we were lost for words, finding it hard to choose what to order. Despite having limited stomach capacity, we opted to order four tacos on top of the chips and guac. Such a cool place not too far from the cbd, with a cozy setting and plenty of diverse options to choose from, I recommend trying this place out. The portions are good and seasoned perfectly. I recommend tryin the horchata alongside ur meal too. good with place to go with friends, or even alone if u want a good feed.

Highly recommend, my favourite mexican restaurant in Melbourne. I have practically tried the whole menu during my multiple visits to this location, and there isn’t something I don’t recommend. The Tortas and Tacos are most definitely the highlight, if you didn’t tell by the name of the place. If you haven’t been here yet, what are you waiting for.

Everything here is so good! We had the al pastor tacos and the deep-fried chicken tacos, both were delicious. A bit pricey though, around $30 for three tacos. To put it into perspective, it’s around $10 per taco.

A bit hit and miss.... Ordered chicharron (pork scratchings and salsa verde) and admittedly I should have asked, but I didn't expect to get supermarket pork crackle. This could have been nice with house made crackle. We ordered tacos - chicken tacos and pork carnitas tacos. I believe they had some nice flavours, but those were just too mild in comparison to the heat. So the flavours were just overwhelmed. And it definitely felt too oily. So it was not bad, but could have been so much better.
