My husband and I and a friend visiting from US had a wonderful dinner here. Food was outstanding! The strawberry, basil sorbet gazpacho was the star! Holy hell, it was amazing! We did the 6 course Klassik menu and our friend did a 5 course Vegetarian menu (she doesn’t like fish or venison)—and they did wine pairings. Both menus were solid and the flavors were distinct, surprising and delicious. The dark chocolate ice cream with pop rocks dessert was a perfect way to end the meal. Service was good but not great for a Michelin restaurant. Just not as polished (bread plate missing, serving dishes on both sides of you, sometimes pouring water-sometimes not) as expected. Our initial waiter who was great vanished during the middle of the meal, never to be seen again. We got lucky and there was an orchestra playing John Williams music in the castle courtyard. We got to hear most of the concert from our window-side table. However, they had to close the window next to us and only open little top windows in the other bays so the audience wouldn’t hear “clinking utensils”, which made it very hot and stuffy and made it uncomfortable. At one point, the noise from the kitchen was shocking…dishes clashing and banging and utensils clanging. It impacted the wowness factor of the vibe. All in all though, a memorable night with great food.
