I almost missed this gem of a contemporary art museum; just happened to see it on the map near a restaurant I was looking at. The building is as interesting as the art. It's two tall maze-like buildings filled with brick alcoves and surprising exhibits around every corner. Seoul is awash in art, and the Arario Museum in Space should be on your list if you like unusual contemporary art.

Heteroclite and sordid in some aspects, this is the not my type of museum and arts. There is a lack of light as many of the windows are covered. The architecture of the 2 building with the coffee shop in the middle nicely contrast. Overall, not a pleasant feeling for this place.

Great selection of modern art, but for me the actual building itself is pretty special! I loved it. Thank you for the kind staff who came to tell me I missed going around some parts of the building. It is quirky and maze like at places. I stumbled across this museum by chance and was the last person to be entering and was on my own for the whole hour at the end of a Thursday. Absolutely amazing. Not sure but it must get very busy normally. It has adjoining building which seems to have a few different trendy restaurants and cafes, looks great also.

Everyone sees art differently. Some might call it brilliant, others a random collection of oddities. But we all agreed on one thing — the air-conditioning was a masterpiece.

A spectacular little museum. The art is nice, but the true reason to visit is the architecture. The artwork is housed in the old offices of renowned Korean architect Kim Swoo Geun. As you make your way through the art, you must stoop below low doorways, ascend narrow steps, and navigate small rooms. The old office building is juxtaposed with a modern glass building that houses a cafe and offices, adding to the architectural intrigue.

Not what I expected but I had a good time here, a very interesting surprise. The museum is not large, and its overall concept and the collection have a very contemporary taste, with certain connections to the development of contemporary art in Korea. It you are looking for a different perspective to learn about Korea, this might be an interesting place to visit.

I can’t adequately say how much I loved this museum. Perhaps my new favorite art museum in the world. The building itself is amazing. Most museums were designed to be museums, and can feel sterile. With its exposed brick, narrow staircases, and exhibits that sit in abandoned bathrooms, offices, and on an actual kitchen counter, this place feels like the art has squatter’s rights. Great variety of pieces. I felt amused, I felt unsettled, I felt challenged. Highly recommend.

Great museum. Not too busy, interesting architecture and REALLY good art selection. Amazing to see such pieces by famous artists in a quiet environment.
