23 Best Restaurants in Florence

"New management and a new chef at this Santo Spirito address have shaken things up, and Gurdulù has morphed from a high-end gourmet restaurant into a deli/takeaway/eat-in hybrid. The sophisticated retro decor (moody blues and grays, 1950s-style brass lamps, etc.) is still intact, but both the vibe and the menu choice are more relaxed these days. The choice of wines is interesting with a predominance of little known labels. Young, classically-trained chef Alessio Ninci whips up the likes of French-style paté en croute with pickles, zingy risotto al cedro (“citron,” a kind of giant lemon), and Wellington-style roast guinea fowl with foie gras. There’s not much choice of dessert, but the homemade cantucci served with vin santo are a good way to end a meal. In spite of its astonishingly good food and keen prices, Gurdulù remains delightfully under the radar." - Nicky Swallow

Innovative dishes that are slightly different and not traditional. If you fancy something authentic, the head elsewhere. However, if you want to try something slightly different then give this place a go. I booked this placed based off various reviews that I've seen off on YouTube and Netflix. I wasn't blown away but it was nice a different. We opted for the A la carte menu, rather than the tasting menu. We had two starters, two mains. This came to around 67 euro.

I recently visited Gurdulù Gastronomia for a Sunday lunch, and it was an airy, farm-to-table gem. The menu showcased house-made bread and pasta. I particularly enjoyed the terrine, which was excellent. The atmosphere was laid-back yet stylish, enhanced by a great music selection that perfectly complemented the meal. It's a must-visit spot in Florence if you're seeking fresh, innovative takes on Tuscan cuisine.

I liked this place and the service was excellent. The food was alright, but didn't blow my mind. Definitely a solid choice if you're looking to try modern Italian cuisine, but not everything on the menu is a big hit like other places I've been in Tuscany

Heavenly food, wonderful ambiance, and great service! Bread is fantastic, as is the pasta (incredibly creative, I had a dish with black garlic, bottarga, and fava beans)! Love that there's a deli counter as well for a high quality to go meal. Can't wait to try more on the menu next time!

A restaurant for people who like to try new food concepts while still getting a full meal in Florence, this is the place. Excellent service, cocktails and wine I can easily see this place being at least awarded a Michelin plate just for the quality of dishes.

Excellent food from the heart even during vacation. Best dining experience of the short three day tour of Flourance ❤️ 🤤

The cold spaghetti were incredible, as well as the carpaccio and the black truffle pasta. The attention was impeccable. So far one of the top restaurants I’ve been in Florence!

I have very mixed feeling about my experience at Gurdulu. Tragic service - we were one minute away from walking away ( after sitting at the table for 20 min and no attention from the staff) and it explains why the tablenext to us walked away. Getting plates was also a challenge. No balsamic at all. FOOD - it is an interesting take on some classic dishes, good, but not mind blowing. All in all - glad we had an experience but I wouldn't come back.
