This place is perfect for trying out different espresso flavors. I visited three times and managed to taste them all. My favorite, hands down, was the Chocolate Pure Arabica—it really stood out with its rich flavor. However, keep in mind that there's no seating available, so it's a quick experience.

Why is that? I felt that the richness, mouthfulness, smoothness and good after taste of the espresso were far superior to that of Japanese third wave coffee. Is it because of the exhilaration of traveling? Or is it because of the taste of authentic espresso that Italians have created over a long period of time? Maybe both. On the other hand I felt nostalgic for Japan's drip coffee which has mild, and crisp tastes.

Small cosy coffee bar that allows you to choose from many different type of coffee beans, we tried 3 diff espresso and bought 1 bag of beans after that. The barista is very knowledgeable and friendly to share the info about diff type of beans.

The best coffee we had in our three weeks in Italy. Unfortunately, only went twice as we found it shortly before leaving Modena. Roasting is done on premises and has been for many years. There is a selection of beans you can have your espresso made with. I bought some Santos Cioccolatato beans to take home and the espresso I make with them is excellent. Small selection of good pastries and a lot of locals dropping in, didn't hear anyone else that couldn't speak Italian well.

Small gem in the centre, we tried both gourmet arabica’s and the decaf with great joy. Small and simple but absolutely perfect to buy some good coffee or just take an espresso and go back shopping or sightseeing. Kind owner and efficient service.

Top 3 espressos I've tasted in Italy. He roasts and makes all of his own blends but sadly the man himself speaks v.little English, as I would have loved to learn more.

Great roastery close to the ducal palace. The smell of freshly ground coffee drew me in. The coffee was smooth and well-rounded (espresso for 1€). I bought some Nespresso-compatible capsules (pack of four for 1.6€) and the coffee turned out delicious, but without the velvelty feel I associate with such machines. Regardless, delicious coffee!

A great coffee place. You must drink at the bar as no chairs or tables. 1eur for an espresso and beans roasted locally. They will grind the beans for you on the spot.
