I’m not sure if they couldn’t speak English properly, but I found a broken piece of chopstick in my food. I didn’t realise and nearly bit into it – I could have damaged my tooth. I showed it to the staff and asked, “Is this from a broken chopstick?” The staff member simply said, “It’s okay” and walked away. I said “Not okay” under my breath, but there was no apology whatsoever.
Mistakes can happen in the kitchen, fair enough – but how can a restaurant operate without even saying sorry when a customer’s tooth could have been harmed? I found it very unpleasant.
To be honest, I disliked this place from the start. As soon as we sat down and throughout the entire meal, one of the staff members was sweeping the floor with a broom, stirring up dust all over the dining area. Why? If cleaning is necessary, then there should be a break time – why do it while customers are eating?
The food wasn’t particularly good either. I feel misled by the 4.5-star rating. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
