I had a very pleasant stay at Almanac X Alcron Hotel in Prague. The hotel is ideally located just off Václavské náměstí. I stayed in a Junior Suite, which was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was excellent, with both a bathtub and a walk-in shower, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was very nice, with plenty of options available, including both a buffet and à la carte choices. The restaurant itself is also excellent, and the bar is great — they make a lovely Negroni. All the staff were professional, friendly, and made me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay. The only negative aspect I found was that some rooms can be somewhat noisy. The only issue I had was during the first night as my room on the third floor faced the main road and there was considerable noise at night. However, when I asked the next morning if I could change rooms, the staff handled it immediately and moved me without any problems, which I found very professional. Overall, it’s a great hotel, and I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Prague.

We recently stayed at this hotel and it was simply AMAZING!! The location is amazing, very walkable with easy access to metro, also very walkable to the main train station and old town! The rooms look exactly like they do online if not better! They are spotlessly clean with very modern decor and comfortable bed! We were upgraded to an executive suite when we checked in which was an amazing surprise since we were traveling with our toddler. We had 2 bathrooms, separate bedroom and living room, it felt like a mini apartment! The highlight for us was the breakfast staff everyone was so welcoming, kind and super friendly especially to our toddler. Special shout out goes to Aaron Kumar, Mohammed and their manager Sylvia! They greeted us every morning with a huge smile and always ensured our baby had everything he needed, one day even insisting we take a croissant for the road for our son which ended up saving the day for us! I highly recommend this hotel, you will not regret!

Outstanding service and exemplary professionalism During our stay at Almanac X Alcron Prague (19–23 December), we unfortunately forgot important items in the room safe. The hotel handled the situation immediately and with exceptional professionalism. They promptly confirmed that all items were found, securely stored them, and kept us properly informed until delivery. Beyond this incident, everything about the stay was excellent: • outstanding service • great breakfast • perfect location • strong sense of security and organization A hotel that truly earns your trust. Highly recommended.

The room temperature was uncomfortably hot, and despite explaining that my mother was having a breathing/asthma issue, the hotel refused to turn on the air conditioning. This was extremely disappointing and concerning, especially in a so-called 5-star hotel where guest health and comfort should be a priority. In addition, when I requested ice—which is normally complimentary—I was told that I would be charged an extra fee simply because it had to be delivered to the room. Charging guests just for the service of bringing ice is unacceptable for a 5-star property. Overall, this experience did not meet the standards or expectations of a luxury hotel.

Great potential, but falls short in execution. This recently renovated hotel is beautifully designed with good lighting, a well-designed shower, and an excellent location. The appearance is adequate and respectable. Unfortunately, the experience doesn't match the promise. The maintenance needs work - our shower was clogged upon arrival (though it functioned well once fixed), there was a hot water outage (these things happen, but it didn't help the overall impression), and the cleanliness wasn't up to standard. Even the toilet paper feels like sandpaper. While the staff are genuinely friendly and eager to help, most lack the experience needed to deliver smooth service. The breakfast shows investment but could be much better executed. It's a shame because this hotel has huge potential. With better maintenance, more experienced staff, and attention to details, it could be fantastic. Right now, there's lots of planning and investment visible, but the results just aren't there yet.

I had a 2-night stay and really loved the hotel. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable, well-appointed, and quiet. The bed and shower were standouts and the bed was super comfy, and the shower had amazing water pressure. They even provided an excellent blow dryer in the room, which was appreciated. While it's not in the heart of the Old Town, it's only about a 12-minute walk to the Astronomical Clock, which is no biggie deal considering how much more you get for your money staying here. I love Prague and will be back, and when I do, I will 100% be staying here again.

In the past, I've stayed at the Mandarin Oriental and Andaz in Prague, but this time I wanted to stay a bit more central. And Alcron was half the price of the other hotels. Rooms were smaller and the lobby and breakfast areas a little less luxurious, but everything worked and service was good. The highlight is the Alcron Bar -- beautiful space, service, cocktails and food. I needed to eat before heading to the opera so I ordered the beef shin at 5pm here and it was fantastic. Given the value proposition, I'm inclined to stay again on my next visit to Prague.

The breakfast are amazing. Dinner at bar is good. Can you please tell me what is the brand of the bed/mattress and pillow in room 406? They are so comfortable and I think about it all the time. I love it so much!
