FINALLY we can taste halal brisket in CT! They are so worth the drive. They got a great menu with many options. This place has delicious food. The meat is tender flavorful and falls apart in your mouth. I liked the sauces and sides it's good variety. It's plated nicely on wooden boards. The service is polite. Pricing is reasonable for the generous portions, the smoked meat is $34.99 per pound. Plenty of parking. They have so much seating inside too, it's huge. Also I love the decor it's very in theme for a smokehouse. I highly recommend you try their beef brisket and lamb shoulder. But you can't go wrong with whatever meat you pick. Their mint lemonade was very refreshing, it's a slushy with blended mint. I can't wait to go back and try more.

What a great experience I had here. My server was truly wonderful what above and beyond to give me a great dining experience. There were so many great dishes on the menu I had trouble deciding what to get, my server made many helpful suggestions even recommended I go to their instagram account to get a visual feel for the menu. Everything i ordered was so yummy. The place is just beautiful as well. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere can’t wait to go back.

Genuinely one of the best places I’ve been! The concept is amazing. The service (specifically from Bora & Conika who were exceptionally kind) were absolutely spectacular. The meat itself was fall off the bone tender with the most delicious flavor. The variety of sauces allow for an experience to the taste buds. Each bite felt like it melted more and more. Truly delicious! The atmosphere is so nice (I preferred the cafe much more than the restaurant space) it was very warm and comforting. The drinks were so delicious as well. For food & drink recommendations I would definitely suggest the Lamb shoulder (put honey on it!!) and the beef short ribs (def put bbq on top of those), the strawberry mojito, and lemon and mint mojito. Def try!

First time going for my sister's birthday. Very good service all the staff were very friendly and helped us order and get settled in. Loved the food especially the Meat Arayes and the Knaffeh. Very good quality meat and well seasoned. They also brought out dry ice for display an that added to the presentation of the food! Will come again to hopefully try the short ribs!

We found the restaurant on Tiktok and came for my husband's birthday. The atmosphere is so lovely and the manager and servers very attentive and helpful and friendly. The food was so delicious. We tried all of the smoked meats and it was enough for 4 people. Especially the short rubs and lamb shoulder were so delicious. We were so excited to find this halal BBQ available near us. Highly recommend and we will return for sure.

The restaurant atmosphere was very pleasant and spacious. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. All their food was amazing, fresh and cooked to perfection. Serving size is huge, so prepare to take a couple of boxes home. Overall, we had a great experience and we are definitely going back

When inquiring about the meat platters they only offered brisket no other meat.(this should have been my first warning to walk out). Ordered steaks instead and found cartilage in a what was suppose to be a NY strip steak ( seemed more like a cheap sirlion) along with thin stretchy white god knows what. The steaks were tough. One steak was ordered medium rare came out rare and cold to the touch. Two steaks were ordered medium well and one came out well done. It lacked flavor, salt and pepper couldn't save these steaks. For the prices I expected nice juicy tender steaks instead I received tough dry steaks. $225 on 3 steaks, 1 appetizer and 3 beverages. Definitely not worth it.

The food was very flavorful for the most part Didn't care for the hummus, but my main course was delicious I ordered the Mix grill with smoked rice meat was very tender a and well seasoned. I also ordered a mint lemonade was so refreshing! I also love dinner with an experience and this definitely was and experience. Definitely would return.

I noticed Kanoon on my way down to an event in Naugatuck from the highway. A few friends wanted to eat after the event and lo and behold, we ended up going here. Kanoon is a hidden gem in Waterbury, CT serving smoked halal meats. It is said that it is an American BBQ with a Middle Eastern twist. The restaurant has two sides with one as a cafe while the other is the dining area. They have a huge menu selection making it hard to choose what to eat. No matter what the choice, everything is delicious! I especially loved the mushrooms mixed with hummus and meat on pita bread. Kofta is my go-to order and it came with rice and can be made of two ways and a salad. Service is 100% above and beyond. Probably even more so. The staff is always looking for opportunities to improve and grow their customer base. The manager also takes their time getting to know their customers! They also had a bbq show that was so fun!

I passed this place on the highway before it was open. I looked it up and knew I had to go once they opened, but knew I wanted to come with a group so took a bit for me to get here. I'm a bit of a bbq snob and love middle eastern food and love interesting fusion so I was super excited for it. We came on a random Tuesday night and even though the website said reservations strongly recommended the place was empty. Immediately they brought out some salads, relishes and potatoes which was a nice change up from standard pre-meal freebies. Everything we had was fair, nothing outstanding but nothing bad. I personally ordered the brisket which was well flavored but INCREDIBLY lean with virtually no fat so needed a good bit of bbq sauce. The smoked rice was very nice. Service was a bit slow considering the fact that the restaurant was mostly empty and it was a weeknight, I'd hate to see what a hopping weekend was like. I'm not saying I won't come back, especially for the middle eastern parts of the menu, but next time I'm after bbq, I'd probably look elsewhere.

We visited in the evening and service was incredibly slow. It probably took an hour for the appetizers to come and 2 hours for the main food to arrive. However, my husband and I and I agreed that the food was delicious and worth it. In total, we were there 3 hours. They had a "fire show" which they encourage everyone to watch - it's basically someone waving around the blow torches and his arms as he torches some meat. Not much of a show with tricks. Despite this, all the staff and service stops when they have this one-man show. Our servers kept telling us that our food, dessert, etc would not arrive until the show is over. Which was ridiculous because he was just cooking meat for the "show" and not for people waiting on their food. On initial ordering, they also told us that the entrees "from the grill" would take over an hour to make. This was trying to push us to order their smoked meats. However, the person in our group who ordered an entree "from the grill" got their food first ! Felt unfair and deceptive because I would have loved to order an additional entree and not be discouraged to order from that side of the menu. Once the food came, it was delicious though. The hummus had great flavor though it didn't come with enough naan - we had to ask for more. The BBQ chicken came sizzling and tasted pretty good but I expected it to he more crispy instead of soggy. The smoked beef brisket was incredibly tender. The mango mojito was ok - too many bits and particles in it and not a strong mango flavor. Really loved the biscoff crepe dessert. Ambiance was pretty modern and the bathroom had nice decor. It was clean overall. Overall I would want to try coming here again when visiting but wouldn't go out of my way because of the long wait - especially with kids who were tired and hungry.

My friends took me to this Middle Eastern meets barbecue restaurant during a trip to Hartford. They have such an interesting combination of smoked meat flavors along with Arabian influences. The interior looks very much like a Texas style steakhouse. Don't let the restaurants connection with the motel fool you this has some legit meat. Recommend getting as much variety as possible

For starters, I will say that the meat is very tender and smoked well but that's the only positive thing I have to say The meat lacks flavor and needs to be seasoned. It has a very high fat content. I got the beef shank which they charge by the pound and mention that it may be over or under because it's by the pound. This implies a slight variation. What I was not expecting was for meat that is $40 a pound to come out to $52. That's more than a slight variation . A chef who is cooking and serving this meat all day should be able to better estimate or even weigh 1 pound of meat so that the customer knows what to expect. And much of this 1 lb was fat. If this meat was flavorful and delicious, I would have no problem paying more, but to pay more for food that wasn't even good is a shame They do a fire show for birthdays and celebrations. Just note that during this time they completely cut off the lights to the entire restaurant so while you are enjoying your meal, you may suddenly be in darkness while they celebrate the other parties. It would be better to dim the lights instead, so that people who are eating can still see their food There were other factors that went wrong during this visit. We had to wait a while, even though we made a reservation. It took a long time after being seated to get service which is not the fault of the waiter, but a lack of communication between staff. And I also received a dirty glass for my drink. All in all, they do a lot to hype up this restaurant and the smoked meat experience is a nice display and very tender. Just don't expect any flavor.

We came here with a party of 8 and two kids. The ambiance was nice very nice steakhouse vibes they had a dessert cafe and also a restaurant area. The food was also very good the brisket smoked was amazing as well as the mango mojito. The service could be better. The server told us it will be an hour wait for the grilled items including steaks and kebabs and for smoked items it would be quicker. So knowing that most of my party ordered smoked meat.but after an hour the grilled items came first ( a couple people in our group ordered steak and kebabs) which is weird because the waiter said we would get those things later than the smoked items.

Kanoon has been on our bucket list since they opened, and we're so happy we finally checked it out! We heard it's crazy on the weekends, so we visited on a Monday night, which was a great choice because it was super chill. The staff were so attentive and friendly! All of the meats were excellent, with the short rib being my favorite - it literally fell right off the bone! The presentations here are impressive and definitely match the quality of the meal you're receiving. I didn't know they had such unique desserts too! So many Dubai chocolate options, and the sushi crepe was SO good! I'm so glad I live close by, we'll definitely be back!

Yes. Yes. Yes. That's how I feel about this establishment. It is 100% a yes, you have to go and have a dining experience here. That is exactly what it is, an experience. Let me say this, in my humble opinion, Halal cuisine is one of the best in the world. It is unprocessed and healthy food, with very strict guidelines. You can taste that in every bite. They consume no alcohol and so the drink menu is full of wonderful mocktails tastefully selected to match with any of their menu items. First impression. Very VERY clean. I sat down and immediately noticed they polish their silverware. You could see your beautiful reflection, it was so shiny. The seating was lush and soft and tastefully designed for such a large restaurant, which, I felt was modern chic incorporating rich color and fabrics. You can tell they pay attention to the small details too. Everyone is greeted with a smile here, as well the chance to take a selfie next to a large bull's head and hanging art. Beyond the entrance, right in the front foyer is a large allotted spot for a fire show with plenty of viewing space. It showcased brightly colored ovens, a long cutting board, flame torches and other accessories behind glass. It definitely makes anyone who enters intrigued at what might happen behind glass. BUT FIRST THE FOOD. We tried several appetizers, including mushrooms, hummus with meat, and a spinach /cheese app (borak)wrapped in crispy fillo. They came out quickly and were accompanied with a family style house salad, a small dish of pickled cabbage and tomato relish ( or chutney... which I used throughout dinner on different bites, YUM) and herbed baby potatoes. The vinegarette was simple yet balanced and coated the greens well on the salad. The hummus was very smooth...tahini forward, meat was diced small and placed in the center with drizzled oil and it came with a puffed Naan style bread for dipping. The borak was cheese pull worthy and so good. Once again, served with a smile and super fresh. Dinner arrived and it smelled so good! We got Kufta Kebobs, chopped marinated meat thats then grilled. The seasoning on these were perfect. I chose smoked rice as a side but you could choose two other items, plain rice or bulgar wheat rice. Very flavorful. We split this because ofcourse we wanted dessert. It was tough to choose! Everything looked so good. We got a Dubai chocolate crepe, baklava and I wish I remembered the name of the third because it was my favorite, shredded fillo wrapped around a sweet cheese, covered in a very light honey and pistachio crumble. I ate most of that amongst our group because it was THE BEST. BUT WAIT, this was dinner, dessert, and A SHOW! A voice that sounded like Morgan Freeman came over the speakers and began telling a story of fire and food. Immediately all the guests got up and walked to the front foyer. And then the magic happened. Fire, fire-dancing and a sword. Slow cook meat was lit on fire and then the bones removed...they just slipped out. He touched the tender meat and it fell apart. All the families watched in awe. The children were smiling, the chef was smiling, my guests were smiling, I was smiling. It felt so magical. A large platter was ready with more pickled vegetables and he placed the meat in the center and drizzled it with honey. It was for ALL to share. It felt like I enjoyed dinner with the whole place. So family oriented! We were all so happy! This is a spot you MUST try. It is an experience. A wonderful one at that. Thank you for making us all feel special. I wish you only the best moving forward! You deserve all the recognition 5+++ stars

Amazing dinner with friends super clean. Service was exceptional and welcoming and efficient. So nicely decorated and the music was great. Cannot wait to come back with friends.

The food is delicious... the service is very good, the short rib is very tasty and the dubai pancakes are delicious... this restaurant is one of our favorites

This is a 5 star restaurant. If you were to go to Olive Garden you have to wait for a seat (usually there is no wait time for seating for Kanoon) and your food, this is the exact same! If you plan on eating there know that they take a bit of time to get the food ready. The place is absolutely nice, regarding appearance! The orange and black makes the place look different compared to other places. The background music is great too! It takes a bit till they bring the food, but I would rather wait and have good food than have my food served in 5 min cold and tasteless! The food is always good, Espically the desserts! Their Dubai crepe is really good plus their mint lemonade! The only thing I didn't like was the bread that was served with the baba ganoush but everything else was delicious! The workers are all nice and hard working! I 100% recommend trying the place out!

First thing first - the food was delicious! The place was nice and clean. Our server was very nice & prompt - he made some good recommendations for us and we loved them. Meat was juicy and tender. For desert, you must try the crepe :) We went on a Sunday late afternoon ( 2ish ) - we wanted to try their lamb shank , unfortunately they did not have any lamb which was disappointing. If you are planning to try a specific dish from the menu, I would recommend you to call them before you visit. Overall, our experience was very good and will definitely consider visiting again.

Absolute 10/10 experience! I discovered this restaurant on tiktok and knew I had to go. The chicken wings were so tender fell right off the bone, the sauce was to perfection. Our waitress was so kind, helpful and patient. Service was very quick got our drinks and meals immediately. They give you complimentary salad and potatoes which I thought was such a delicious suprise. The atmosphere was very clean and welcoming, great music playing. Finally the DESSERT, I got the dubai chocolate strawberries which tasted like actual heaven, and my boyfriend had gotten the dubai chocolate crepe which also tasted like it was straight from heaven. Incredible restaurant 10/10 from me!

If you're trying to go for lunch, don't. The reviews on the food and the social media blast notwithstanding, this is an absolute no go for anyone on a set time for lunch. I had an hour before I had to leave for an appointment. A full hour for lunch. Great. I thought I'd try this place that people were raving about. Big mistake. First off, if you do a quick take, the place looks nice. Nice chairs. Nice tables. Decent ambiance. But during the long time I had to look around, the place really is like lipstick on a pig (reference to another review), with the ugly fat of the pig showing through the cheap lipstick. From outside to in, the place looks like they tried to be frugal on updating and it shows from the bad paint job to the rocking uneven tables. I might not have noticed all of this other than I had abundant time to look around waiting for my food order. That isn't even the worst of it. I can't tell you about the actual food here because the service is that bad. It started by taking a few minutes for me to be seated. Once seated, it took over 15 minutes before they took my order. At that time, the waiter, wearing a big cowboy hat, told me it would take about 15 minutes for the food. Looking at my watch, I realized I only would have about half an hour left to eat at that point but figured I could eat quickly even if the food took a few minutes longer. I wish that had happened. After waiting for more than 25 minutes for my food, I looked at the manager inquiring. He told me the food will be out in a couple minutes. A further seven minutes went by with no food and an additional promise of the food coming right out. Eventually, I was forced to leave as I would have had less than 10 minutes to eat my lunch. They did offer to pack to go and even brought out some hummus but at that point it was way too little way too late. Waiting 50 min from entry to no food, and about 35 min since order to my leaving is not acceptable. If you cannot deliver food at lunchtime and in a timely manner, you should not be open for lunch. Maybe at dinner when people have more time this works but at lunch this is a definite, no go. I have no idea if the food is any good or not as while it smelled really good, I never got to eat anything. There are plenty of other options in this area that you should try at lunchtime if you are so inclined. Do not bother giving this place a try if this is how they treat their customers. Full disclosure - they had 5 tables including me at the time of my visit. One of 8 or so, three of 2 customers and me. No way that food for 14 total customers should take this long to bring out. Time wise, I ordered as another couple was ordering and their more involved meal came out while I was still waiting. I ordered a chicken kebab dish which only should have needed the chicken cooked with all other aspects prepared in advance (in any good kitchen).

I was really excited to try this new addition to Waterbury, sadly it wasn't what we were expecting. With several excellent Middle Eastern restaurants in the immediate area the idea of a smokehouse did sound different. We have an award winning American BBQ here in Waterbury so when I think "smokehouse" I think of that type of smoked meats. While the meat was good I tasted no "smoke" flavor at all. There's 3 large smokers in the front entrance and it honestly was as if they were being used for show- there's no cooking going on up front. There was tv's with flames, everything that gave the illusion of a smokehouse, waiters wearing bbq aprons, but no smoke. I've seen videos with flame torches, dishes served in smoke ring, that was not our experience. There were 4 bbq sauces on the table, none tasted homemade, more like Sweet baby rays. Staff was friendly. We were greeted with a complimentary chopped salad, kind of them. Tasty, a little salty. I was a little concerned when I ordered water and was served bottled water. Made me think there was something wrong with the water. We started with kanoon starter chef special. It was brisket over fries with a cheese sauce on top. The brisket was good- however, no smoke flavor. The cheese sauce was like a cheese wiz, I liked dipping the fries in it but didn't pair well with the brisket in my opinion. There was a complimentary small tray of coleslaw, red cabbage, and a salsa. Coleslaw was ok, didn't care for the others. We also received half a sweet potato and a couple roasted baby potatoes, not really sure if that was complimentary or part of the app. I got the half chicken. The chicken was well cooked and juicy. The flavor didn't taste Middle Eastern but it was good. More like a rotisserie chicken. There was a mayo sauce served with it, I believe it was supposed to be toum, if so it lacked garlic. The bulgar tasted like sazon tomato Spanish rice. The "salad" was a small amount of undressed greens. My partner got the mixed grill and added a lamb chop. Would have preferred the lamb medium as it was a little overcooked (I don't think they asked). Again, good portion, not bad, but not smoky. While none of it was bad there wasn't anything that left us wanting to return. Nothing gave "smokehouse" and nothing gave authentic middle eastern flavor. In my opinion all the complementary items, extras, sides were unnecessary, would have rather see more focus on the meat. The music selection was a little loud for an empty restaurant and it felt trance-like instead of relaxing, with commercials on the music station... pay the $10 for no ads at least. Between the music and the sound of crackling wood from the tv's became obnoxious after a while. Hopefully my feedback can be useful in someway, wish them well. Appetizers, dinners, 2 ice teas and 1 bottled water was $95 with tax **Edit* my original review was three stars, however after just finding out that they have confirmed hundreds of fake reviews on Google I'm changing my review to one star. Extremely poor business. This is why I only trust yelp reviews, you can't pay people to leave fake reviews on here

My family took me here for my birthday, but to be honest, I struggled to find something I genuinely wanted to eat. We ended up ordering a pound and a half of smoked ribs to share, and while my family enjoyed them, I personally didn't care for the meat. Another thing to note is that they don't serve alcoholic beverages, which might be a downside for those who enjoy a cold drink with their meal. Overall, while the ambiance and service were nice, the limited menu and my personal taste preferences mean I wouldn't choose to return on my own. However, it might still be worth a visit for those who enjoy the specific offerings on their menu

Found this location on social media and we had to check out the hype. This beautiful restaurant became an amazing experience and looking forward to returning back. The food from beginning to end was delicious, well seasoned, perfectly portioned for the value of cost. The only minor issue was serves was a little slow. We had to ask more than once for our drinks but overall our waiters and their staff attentive, friendly and helpful. Customer just an FYI there is no liquor service at this restaurant but they did offer delicious mock-tails as an alternative option.

Don't trust the reviews. The food is wonderful! The place looks great. Yes the screwed up both of our entrees but they were extremely apologetic and corrected it very quickly. I would definitely go again.

Really expected a lot from this place from all the reviews and hype online. Didn't even live up to a 2 star review. Service was horrible. Place is new and clean but that's about it. Smokers out front. Cleared not being hard and only for show. Beef rib was ok but definitely not smoke house or smoked. No bark, no smoke ring, definitely not BBQ at all. Lamb was ok. Nothing special

Food was great! Loved every dish we ordered! Perfectly marinated not overwhelming or spicy at all!!! Service and wait staff were attentive and top notch! Ambiance feels as if you stepped into your family restaurant! Such great hospitality from the owner! Don't 2nd guess going here! Only complaint as I told the owner..."where have you been my entire life? Loll he was soo kind and welcomed us back as they were preparing for Ramadan and Eid festivities! Will be back again and again to support this restaurant!!

This is one solid hala restaurant, not too far from central connecticut, we went on a Saturday night it was not too crowded, we ordered multiple dishes including smoked beef prime ribs, smoked Beef shank, smoked Beef brisket, smoked Lamb shoulder, whole chicken and mix grill. Well its a lot but we wanted to try as much variety as possible, salads came first then food came in a glass covered dishes, the food was great specially the smoked beef prime short ribs, smoked lamb shoulder, mix grill, and the chicken, the side dishes were rice and burglar which were flavorful and delicious, overall experience was great but the prices are a little on the high side.

This is the same old dump- they just put some lip stick on the pig. It looks like a diner inside now. I didn't get seated right away because the hostess was scrolling on her phone. Ordered water labneh and mixed grill. They served me bottled water which is fine in Europe- but here I expect it to be included in a sit down meal or an option for a premium water upon request. Poland spring is not premium water unfortunately. The servers are all very odd. Some with I pads, some with telecom wires and ear pieces like they are guarding the president & mine who had not even a pen. The labneh looked and tasted like sour cream and the olive oil tasted like canola. The pita they gave was old bagged pocket pita- awful Mixed grill was tasteless. Smoked rice tasted like plain rice. Everything was cold Some of the oddities I experienced. The sides sweet and roasted potato - came out not with the entree but before the appetizer. * Upon entry * The female servers were wearing blue disposable gloves that were clearly really big, surgical mask and hijab. Male waiters nothing Each of the three other tables while I was seated were served the wrong food. At one point the manager gathered the staff and crowned them all with cowboy hats to wear. Really weird and really awful expensive place. With multiple really great places to get Persian food so close I could have thrown my rock hard pita and reached them - I won't be going back here.

BEYOND DELISH!! Dinner and a show. Manager and staff extremely warm and welcoming. Sampled everything and literally nothing disappointed. Favorites were Baba Ganesh, short rib, chicken, and lamb. Can't wait to go back to try their brisket burger. Fire show was outstanding.

The service was great. Our waiter was very good. The milkshakes and desserts were amazing! However the food and the prices..... For the outrageous amount you pay for dishes vs. the portions you get is awful!! We were shocked and bummed when we saw the plates come out. The chicken kabob was super dry and did not come on sticks. The steaks were fatty. The chicken sandwich was so small!! We were surprised because mushrooms that were on two of the plates and any veggies....definitely canned :( Keep in mind also that the gratuity is included and there is no bar. I had wanted to try this place for a while but it is a one and done for me.

Good ambiance, Food is very Good, smoke ring on food is on point, service is okay, little slow, before and after food arrives, bbq/smoked meats do take time which is understandable, but drinks and apps dessert and the bill, shouldn't , the people are very polite though.

Where do I start? I was looking forward to coming here and I called to make a reservation. It was a Friday evening and the place was empty. When we got there they seated us quickly. I ordered a mocktail which was delicious. Our server was friendly but she really wasn't giving us service. When we were ready to order she said they were out of platters so we ordered the smoked brisket and short ribs. In the meantime they give you complimentary small salad and potatoes. We waited for our food for over 40 minutes. Yes over 40 minutes!! The brisket was very dry. My husband had to put a whole lot of BBQ sauce that they had at the table because it was so dry. The short ribs weren't as dry. They were good but nothing special. When we finally got our food someone came out calling everyone to the front of the restaurant where he did some type of fire show. It was actually funny. Nothing special. I thought they did the show while you eat and you can watch while you eat but no you have to get up and go to the front to look at it. The waitress was MIA and we had to flag her down to get a glass of water. The service was terrible. I was disappointed. I think you can see the dissatisfaction in our face because when the show was over the person who performed the show greeted everyone at the restaurant and totally ignored us. :( Won't go back.

The service was amazing, the servers were super nice. Great place for a birthday surprise. I ordered the smoked chicken it was really good. I recommend it

The service and the food was amazing! our waitress Sandy was very sweet and patient. The ambience was very relaxing, welcoming, and friendly!

Meat was well seasoned and very tender but service is horrible.The place is new and clean. I will do take out from this place.FYI, they do not serve alcohol at the time of our visit.I seriously hope management will work on their waiter/waitresses on improving their service.

This is my new favorite spot. The meat was unbelievable. We got the smoked short rib and the smoked lamb chop, the meat fell right off the bone and it was delicious. All of the sides and the sauces were great. Nour was an EXCELLENT waiter, very attentive and patiently explained each dish. The restaurant was also spotless. I will be coming back here.

Recently went with my friends, the ambience, food and the service was so good. Drinks were amazing! I had raspberry mojito it was really very good and my friends enjoyed their drinks too in food what I loved the most was the lamb shank and the buffalo wings..and the deserts were like cherry on the top the fettuccine crepe and the sushi crepe was really very good.. everyone should must try out this restaurant.

Food was amazing. They showed us how the meats were cooked and offered lots of tastings on top of what we ordered. They have a cool experience for birthdays, events etc.

First of all service to start to finish was awesome. I couldn't help but get the smoked meat since that was all I saw online and I was impressed by how the flavor matched exactly what I imagined. The display of the dish really portrayed the flavor so I was completely satisfied. Not even getting into desserts I think everybody has heard or tried it already. The fire show in addition to the setting is so aesthetically pleasing it matches the vibe so well.

They were out of all their meat platters on 530 on a Saturday which was disappointing but the food we did get was very good.

First off when we walked in everyone stared us down liked we were not welcome. One of my worst experiences. Took forever to even give a drink. Server didn't actually know English meanings. Got made at repeating myself I get mad. His response is too tell me he had nothing we wanted to get us to leave and that we did also tried the meat they cooked for their little show it was tasteless

We really wanted to like this place. I will start by saying the food tasted good but.... First, we ordered water. The waiter neglected to tell us they seve Bottled Water for $2.00. He should have told us. Lemonade is $7 and iced tea is $6. The real problems then began. They are out of their smoked meats, which they are supposedly known for. It was only 5:30 on a Saturday night. Then, we ordered 4 mixed grill and 1 chicken platter. The chicken came out a full 15 minutes before the mixed grills. We actually had to ask where our food was. The manager apologized, but didn't do anything about it. Next, we were literally finishing our dinners and putting our food in to go containers and they brought out a plate of potatoes and some coleslaw and other sides. The waiter looked and swallow well you can at least try them. Finally, we were a party of 5, and they included 18% tip without warning. The final receipt then came with suggested tips. Not going to happen.

I don't know what these people are complaining about, it's like they never been to a smoked meat place before. Stick to your McDonalds folks nothing to complain about in this place!

Was there yesterday ordered fried calamari no good owner said it was fresh that was not isssue it wasn't prepared right, not enough flour and seasoning on it . Ordered short rib it wasn't seasoned tasted boiled, our side order for main course came out as we were paying bill I'm sorry but you guys need a reality check don't know why my bill was 175.00 dollars but you need to fix your service if you want to stay in business good luck , my first and last time thank u no thank u

The food was good, no smoke flavor in the food. Those smokers up front should be in use and not for show. We arrived for a 5pm dinner and there was no pulled meats available which was kind of disappointing. Once again the food was good but the service needs major improvement. Could never find our waiter, constantly waited on by other servers. Had to flag down someone for the check as well which took 15 minutes.

This smoked meat restaurant is a real treat! The meats are perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. Whether it's the ribs, brisket, or grilled food, each dish is delicious. Great service and ambiance.

Only had 2 apps so far, but really loved both of them. falafel (crispy chick peas patties) & sambousek (crispy pastry seasoned smoked ground beef). Looking forward to trying more from Kanoons in Waterbury
