Amazing gelato!! Very friendly staff, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. A piccolo gelato with 2 flavours cost me €3, but the portion size was much bigger than expected. Both flavours were absolutely divine, and the cono was tasty as well. Will be coming back to try more flavours!

My first gelato in Italy and it was amazing! I got pistachio flavor and was recommended to pair it with something that contained nuts. Super tasty! And for the small portion it’s only 3 euros.

Very tasty gelato and great with the crema on top! I also tried the afrogato one time but it was a bit too much and too hot and all the gelato was melted, but I think some people prefer this.

Alberto Marchetti's ice cream is one of the best ice creams I've had in my whole life. I was recommended by the waiter a pistachio and white chocolate with salt one and it was absolutely delicious. The pistachio flavor was very rich and it really did taste like eating natural pistachios and the white chocolate one was incredible too.

This gelato shop came highly recommended by Turin foodies. We came here around 2 pm for an afternoon sweet treat and we were surrounded by locals, including a man with his young daughter, two ladies who had been out shopping, and an elderly grandma. That's the point I'm trying to make: everyone loves ice cream! The shop is tiny and there are only a few high-top chairs for sitting. The employees didn't speak English but if you know basic Italian you'll be fine. Everyone, even the patrons, were extremely friendly and welcoming. We got a small cup to share. This place reminds me a lot of Grom, only much smaller. All of the gelato is homemade and it is delicious. You can't really go wrong with gelato in Italy, and Alberto Marchetti is a great stop if you're craving the cold sweet stuff!

Part of the Piedmont slow food movement (and a few of the flavors are identified "slow food" on the menu). And while I can say the gelato here is solid, the richness of the flavor still feels lacking from the true slow food amazing gelato experienced out in the countryside of Tuscany, out near the Ferragamo villas. Nor does it beat some off the beaten track spot in Roma. And while the extra dark chocolate is fantastic - it's comparable to the boutique gelato shops I find in Milan. However, unlike all the other gelato spots everywhere else I've visited in Italy - the service is quite terrible. Rushed (ironic for a place marketing slow food), presumptuous (yes, I look petite but I like to eat so don't automatically assume I want the small and stop looking annoyed that you have to put the small cup back when I order medium so I can add an additional flavor, and please add my flavor without grunting and sighing - I can handle the calories thank you), and irresponsibly dismissive (when I ask politely in Italian whether the extra dark chocolate is GF and you say ALL flavors are gluten free, no, I see Tiramisu and other gluten-ful flavors and know I'm taking a risk) Summary of the flavors tried: Fior di latte - sweet enough it tasted a bit bitter Pistachio - flavorful Extra dark chocolate - Very rich and flavorful, and the right balance of sweetness Overall, I found the place to be a bit of a hype and for what I can find else where with much friendlier staff and service, and more importantly, safety in getting the right information for actual dietary restrictions that impact my health, I will not be back.

I may have to take back my claim that Grom makes the best gelato in Torino. Alberto Marchetti makes a solid cone of gelato for only 1.70 (small), a whole 80 cents cheaper than Grom. (That means I can get 3 cones of this stuff for the same price of 2 cones at Grom!) It's a few blocks down from Porta Nuova on Corso Vittorio Emanuele towards River Po. The gelateria is modernly decorated. The gelato is served within 24 hours of when it's made, and what's cool is the camera above their gelato mixers, so you can watch the employees actually making the gelato! There are several awards plastered on the wall. These people know what they're doing. They have traditional flavors like pistachio, hazelnut, crema, and chocolate, but they also have a handful of more creative options. I can't remember the name of the flavor I tried, but it had bits of hazelnut brittle. Delicious and unique! Gelaterias in Torino don't get very creative aside when it comes to serving gelato, but Alberto Marchetti offers brioche gelato sandwiches for only 3 euro. They also serve granitas that my friend swears by, but I have yet to try. If that wasn't enough to persuade you, while we were enjoying our cones inside the store, a jogger came in to order himself a cone! Who goes running then eats a cone of gelato? Apparently, the gelato at Alberto Marchetti is worth it.

I'm not a gelato person, but I still think this place is great. I had the affogato da passeggio. Love it, just love it!

Best gelato in Torino and a much better deal than Grom. Love the pistachio, fior di latte, pompelmo rosa and fragole. Best pistacchio I've had! Not a fan of the pera, croccante, farina mais. As usual, you can always try first. Yum!
