amaranth spa at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok

I booked the time stop treatment for 12,000 bhat. It was an aromatherapy bath, a massage and a facial. It was supposed to include a vegetarian meal. The spa itself was gorgeous and everyone sweet enough. The massage and facial were good. It was more the rest of the experience that made it not worth the price tag. There was a thoughtlessness about the flow and it took a lot to get through the algorithms when I was having hot flushes and needed some water or a snack. Getting out of the tub was a messy affair without much thought about towels and what I will step on while dripping wet or for rinsing. After the treatment during what is supposed to be quiet time with some tea the woman decided to come and settle the bill instead of either doing it before the treatment or when I am ready and walking out. I thought the meal was going to be served in the spa but it was in the noisy 5th floor restaurant and I had to pay for my water. I’m also not sure why everything had to have eggs in it. I don’t recommend this package but do recommend the massage or the facial on their own. Much better value for money.

best spa i’ve ever tried! i had Mook as my therapist and she was exceptional. went for the mama bear 90min message which is a medium pressure massage and i felt so relaxed after :) she is so meticulous from start to finish! definitely coming back

Amaranth spa was a wonderful experience. Male therapist Max was very experienced and slowly unknotted my shoulder and back. He did it slowly and carefully. Felt so relaxed after that. After the spa there was a resting room with tea. Thank you max !

Had a great experience at Amaranth Spa. The space is clean, relaxing, and has a really calm vibe that helps you unwind right away. K. Pang was amazing… very skilled, attentive, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The treatment felt personalized and left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. Definitely recommend Amaranth Spa, especially if you get a session with K. Pang.

The massages were amazing. The pressure and duration were perfect. Staff was courteous and respectful. I would come back everytime im in bangkok, I highly recommend

After researched this spa within the hotel Kimpton Maa-Lai and found that it offers BIOLOGIQUE RECHERCHE, a premium products from France for facials and customize to needs, I eager to try. They told me treatment is done by hand, no instruments. The place is so calming after settle in, treatment room is spacious with own bathroom. After the facial, the staff guide me to a beautiful lounge with individual lounge sofas and offer hot herbal drink and local sweets. Overall a great experience if you looking for a calming spa day. Facial price is similar when in Paris.

You definitely get what you pay for here. I went for the 90-minute Mama Bear aroma oil massage and got a solid session from start to finish with a really skilled masseuse. I've tried some cheaper places before and honestly, it was the complete opposite—this one had a proper structure to it, nothing random about it. What really surprised me were all these different hand techniques I'd never felt before. The masseuse also had this knack for finding sore spots I didn't even know I had, which was super satisfying in that good-hurt kind of way. Her touch was gentle but firm at the same time, and the pressure stayed consistent the whole time. Everything flowed so smoothly that I just relaxed completely—didn't have to ask her to adjust the pressure even once. The space itself is really nice too. They've got this clean, minimalist vibe going on that just makes you feel calm the second you walk in. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a legit, professional massage.

Got a massage for my honeymoon while staying here. It was the best experience I’ve had in a spa. My masseuse wasTia or tid (I don’t know how to spell it) but she was amazing! She was very nice and attentive. I asked for strong and she did not disappoint. I also had an injury on my foot and she made sure to go soft and did not hurt me at all. This experience was outstanding. You get a tea and snack at the end of the massage. They had cute signs congratulating us on our honeymoon. Very thoughtful. Would recommend this hotel and this spa experience:)
