"The longest beach on Little Exuma is a stunning stretch of powder-white sand that is officially called Pelican Beach but more commonly called Tropic of Cancer Beach because it sits directly on the Tropic of Cancer latitude line—the dividing line between the subtropics and the tropics. This navigational line is marked on the pavement atop the stairs leading to the beach. Even without it,the beach would bewell worth a visit—it's often empty of visitors, and the calm turquoise waters and gently sloping, white-sand seafloor make it a great place to swim and sunbathe."

Come here to enjoy your day. There's a place to grab a delicious burger and a stiff drink too right on the beach

It's really a beautiful beach and it's long. We rented our paddle boards from Paddle with Tazan (highly recommended, high quality inflatable boards) and we explored the little islands out front. That was fun!!

Rodney M Wrote a review Aug 2024 11 contributions Best Beach in the Bahamas This is one of the best beaches in the world! It's kind of hard to get to but it's well worth the pothole filled road. One you park and walk through the little shack, you'll see one of the most pristine, calm and beautiful beaches you've ever seen. The water is as clear as tap water. In August the temps are like lukewarm bathwater. Once you're in neck deep, you can look down and clearly see your feet. The water was so calm. Only a few small waves with no white caps. It will take your breath away and you'll want to stay all day.

The pictures don’t do it justice. The soft white sand and clear turquoise waters are pure serenity. The beach was not crowded and we were able to float for hours enjoying a peace of heaven.

Best beach in the world!!! Quiet, clean, wide, beautiful colors. Too remote to attract many people but still a lovely little bar to grab some food and absolutely delicious cocktails.

Very gorgeous beach with terrific blues and lots of soft white sand. We visited twice and enjoyed the picturesque views with the rocks just off the coast. There were very few people - may 8 - during our 2 visits. We met a fun dog who just wanted to hang with us and play a little.

The Tropic of Cancer beach was gorgeous and worth the drive. At first we passed the turn off because the old sign had fallen but quickly realized our mishap. It’s certainly a rough road and not for everyone. We had a fun time, enjoyed the beautiful white sand and blue water. We hiked around on the rocks and had fun checking on the scenery. The beach had tons of sponges and small shells, the rocks and branches nearby are also covered in the small snail shells. I’m from the mountains of WNC so this was a first for me. I would love to visit again one day. Great place to bring some beach gear and just hang out all day long.
