Takonotetsu

Definitely do go at least once for the experience. You get to cook your own takoyaki and can add as much katsuo fish flake garnishing as you like. Order the okonomiyaki too! These are comfort, slightly greasy food. The only downside for me is the restaurant allowed smoking within the premises.

Takonotetsu is a good takoyaki restaurant where you can really prepare your own food on a grill placed at each table of the restaurant. For this reason the restaurant is nice especially if you are in a group or if you want to experiment food creation. The restaurant is located in a building filled with offices, so it can be less targeted to tourists, so that you can enjoy a more authentic Osaka environment.

The most popular takoyaki house in Osaka, specialty is customers always have to make their own dishes. Although the shop is never not overcrowded, staffs tried their best taking care of customers. And there are lots of visited celebrities' signatures hanging on the wall, how cool is that?

Takonotetsu 'Pizza Ball House'. It's nowhere near as quirky as the name suggests, but it is definitely a cozy place. The name refers to the act of frying takoyaki on an iron (tetsu) skillet. The staff is more than willing to lend you a hand if you can't quite get used to rolling the balls around on the grill. Heavy and greasy food made however you like it and it pairs well with cold beer.

I was looking forward to this, I done the cook your own jingus-kan, kushikatsuu, shabu-shabu, okinomiyaki and now takoyaki. It was terrific, everything is provided for you even an English version of instructions and when you finish the tako is so tasty. The staff here were extremely friendly and helpful so much so that whenever I’m in Osaka I’ll be visiting here.

Nice cozy place for octopus flour balls. You can order different fillings and cook yourself. The chefs are helpful and get you good when you are in a fix. Beers are available to accompany the hot food.

Nice takoyaki (octopus balls) which is also supposed to be cooked by ourselves on the table but we don’t have the skills. The friendly lady helped us done the job. English menu available.
