A fantastic experience from beginning to end. Fabulous service and outstanding food. I found my new go to Italian restaurant when visiting the Niagara Falls area. It’s hard to impress my immigrant Italian parents, but you did. We will be back.

To my surprise, I had one of the best dining experiences ever, at this unassuming place. The waiter was Italian and friendly. The atmosphere was relatively quiet - the person seating is overheard me say I was hoping it would be quiet and purposely put us in a quiet spot, which was thoughtful and appreciated. The pizza was amazing - I had the one with pear on it - and I had an unusual spicy sausage pasta that was also great. It was very reasonably priced and casual but with fine dining food and experience. Parking available in the back.

The focaccia was tasty. The funghi pizza was nice, as I could taste the original flavors of the ingredients instead of them being covered by sauces. The ravioli could have had a little more salt. The service was great, and the restaurant was nice.

We visit each time we’re in Niagara! Food never disappoints. And I highly recommend the calamari. Little on the pricy side but it’s fancy.

Various Things

Google
First of all the place is wonderful. It also has a very Italian menu in a literal sense. I had to try and figure out meals by the English ingredients listed by the names. The servers however are all happy to explain things and recommend items from the menu. I was recommended the “Mafalda con funghi” and it was indeed delicious and exactly as the server said. All the meals are however quite fancy, the specials offered by the server were all pastas that were more expensive than the menu pastas and not what I was expecting from specials. I believe there was only a single simple pasta that was noodles and sauce alone. My friends also ordered other pastas and they all looked and tasted amazing. ————— The atmosphere is amazing. There was a smooth Italian jazz (that had a few more exciting pieces) and a low lighting that’s soothing to the eyes. They ask in the menu for a quiet dinner so young children might be a bit out of place here, it is perfect for a date however. The decor is amazing as well, good art pieces and items all aid the look and lighting. So in total, it’s worth a visit for anyone, no matter how Italian they are.

Google
The atmosphere was wonderful, light jazz music playing in the background, not too loud so you can hold a conversation. The service was wonderful, the sever took her time to walk us through specials and asked questions in order to make recommendations. The bar tender was amazing, an artist at his craft, I had the best Negroni Classico ever! Anthony was so welcoming and passionate about the food, what a wonderful experience. Every bite, app and entre were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend Napoli, 5 stars all across. High quality food made with love and great service too!

Google
The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming. The pasta was unbelievably delicious, and the tiramisu was simply perfect. A wonderful dining experience.. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
The service was fantastic, the food was delicious. We were celebrating birthdays. We ordered the special Mussel app also gamberi shrimp app, followed by carbonara, linguini frutti di mare, rigatoni alla genovese, tagliatelle bolognese. Finished with dessert canolli and tiramisu. WOW we weren't disappointed. The flavours were very well put together. We've been here before and will be back again soon!!

Yelp
Impeccable service, delicious mushroom pasta and arugula salad, wonderful ambiance. Had a wonderful meal here while in vacation in Niagra Falls Canada. Our server Jorge provided excellent attentive service. Everything we ate and drank was amazing. Prices were reasonable and I would have paid more for such delicious food Sicilian Manhattan, Tagliatelle Bolognese, Mafalda con fungi, Chocolate torte with vanilla ice cream and decaf Cappuccino.

Yelp
Owner hovers over staff Runs his restaurant like a dictator. Very nice servers who work very hard to accommodate patrons. Food ok Not the most comfortable atmosphere. I prefer Carpaccio's up the street.

Doug L.

Yelp
A really nice place. My friend got the branzino and loved loved loved it. I had the pizza. The crust was nice and crispy and had really good flavor to Started with focaccia bread which was so good with a special butter. And had a Mista salad which was good too The best part was the greater. Nice. Polite. And came twice to our table to see how things were. I assume he was owner or gm or both, but was super engaged and cared how we were taken care of A must place in Niagara Falls Canada

Yelp
This Italian restaurant is worth seeking out! It is an institution with impeccable service, homemade focaccia, whipped ricotta, salads, pasta and desserts. We began with the homemade focaccia with whipped ricotta and honey. It was worth every bite! Then shared a arugula salad refreshing and perfectly balanced. Then shared a main course of linguine with seafood lots of fresh seafood in a heaping plate of pasta and finished the meal with coffee and a lemon blueberry cheesecake. Every bite was delicious!

Yelp
We were in town for a concert and decided on Napoli due to yelp reviews. It did not disappoint! It was excellent!! Amazing service, our waiter was one of the twins that works there..lol. The three of us decided to have three different dishes so we can try them all. They were all delicious. We did agree we were not as amazed by the salads. We had two different types, one with a pear dressing and the other with balsamic and they both lacked flavor. The restaurant was clean and cozy. The only thing I would change is the parking lot out back is a little narrow. I would visit again.

Alice H.

Yelp
Super friendly and attentive service from the servers to the manager and what excellent food! The pizzas are tasty and the pasta is wonderful. Just legitimately good food in a warm atmosphere and amazing service. Not at all a tourist trap but a place I would return to, even if were in Chicago. Dinner reservations are recommended.

Hokie H.

Yelp
Everything we had was excellent, excellent food, friendly service, we had just walked around all over town and found this place. Felt a little underdressed bc the ambiance is classy but they still greeted us with open arms!

Lea H.

Yelp
Decided to find somewhere new to eat on the Canadian side. We had a short wait for a table (surprised on a Friday night of a holiday weekend). I did not see any off street parking but there are metered spots and a few paid lots in the area. It's a classic Italian menu. Their pasta is made in house. Our waiter was thorough and friendly. Food seems to take a bit longer to come out but we didn't mind. Our food was good. The foccacia bread was not warm when it came out but we didn't say anything. For entrees, we shared the veal chop and a plate of clams with linguine. Dessert was tiramisu and a cannoli. Both were good. The coffee and espresso was a perfect finisher. We'd return in the future.

Anna R.

Yelp
This was our first stop to eat after getting off a 7hr plane ride and driving another 45 mins. The service was friendly and the ambience was dark in some parts of the restaurant. But we were hungry and the food was all we cared about lol. The focaccia and burrata was delicious and I thought it was an indicator of even better things to come. But the calamari was okay, nothing special. The mafalda con funghi (mushroom pasta) seemed like the must have item. It was also okay. I didn't feel it exceeded expectations. We were hungry so it was fine. But the most disappointing item was the pizza. It was a little soggy, simple, too doughy and not much different than pizza at a fast-food restaurant. The food and the restaurant seem really popular, and everyone has their own palates and perspectives, but it just didn't blow us away as we had hoped.

Yelp
Came here for a big birthday a few weeks ago. My boyfriend made a reservation ahead of time and they knew it was a very special occasion. I was a little disappointed with the lack of celebratory enthusiasm. Maybe I was spoiled last year when I went out to dinner and was met with a birthday card signed by all the staff...The service was average. I just couldn't justify giving 5 stars for no 'above and beyond' service. The food was fantastic, I love fresh clams. The only thing that became very apparent very quickly was how small the portions were. There was a pricier option for a more family style portion but given that there were only 2 of us, we thought it would be best to get regular portions. Little did we know that the "regular" portion was actually smaller than usual. Would I spend another birthday here? Probably not. Would I come back? Perhaps.

Zoë T.

Yelp
Some of the most incredible Italian food I've ever had. Everything was light yet so filling we did it family style and has a special pizza with peach and pancetta so delicious, the pastas were spectacular and the desert. The blueberry lemon cheesecake is the best any of my family had ever had. So so phenomenal are the servers were very sweet.

Yelp
Napoli is probably one of the oldest restaurants in town, if not the oldest. The menu indicates Since 1962. I stopped in on my 2nd night since it was highly rated and close to my hotel. All of their pastas are homemade, so its hard not to choose one of those. I am always looking for spicy dishes when I dine out, and sausage dishes when I'm at Italian restaurants and quickly noticed the arrabiata pizza. However I wasn't in the mood for so much bread. Instead I went with the cavatelle pasta which has homemade italian sausage sprinkles. I declined the offer for the $12 focaccia bread that they bake fresh daily, as a starter. It was just me dining, and no way I could eat a whole piece. I looked at the desert menu, but also opted against dessert. At the very end, I asked for a refill of tea, and the waiter never came back. Then 5 mins later, I asked my main waitress while paying the bill and she said, oh, we charge for refills. This must be a regional thing because it doesn't say it on the menu. And it's not like they bring out tea in a can, so you would never know unless you're a local or have been here before. They serve tea in a glass, like they brew it there. However, they apparently don't, and I guess most places don't either. I realized later every restaurant I visited in Canada for 2 days only served Nestea in a can. Other than the last weird part, the food was really good, and ambiance is definitely dim and romantic, with a slightly older feel to the dining room. Would be good for a business meeting also, or family dinner.

Yelp
Really want to come back for dinner but stopped in for cannolis since I heard they were good. Best cannolis, EVER!!

Meredith F.

Yelp
Authentic Italian experience with great service and ambience. We got the Burrata caprese, calimari, Caesar salad, meatball appetizer, margherita pizza, linguine fruite de mar, spinach ravioli, and cannoli. Every single thing was delicious and I have no complaints.

Liz M.

Yelp
This was an incredibly disappointing experience. We had heard good things about this restaurant so we tried it. We ordered the pizza special and were told that it was a prosciutto pizza. What showed up was more like a pancetta--chopped up and greasy rather than fresh as you'd expect from prosciutto. It was terrible and we told the waiter who said to us "well that's what you ordered." Well, you know what? It's not what I expected and frankly it wasn't good. They refused to take it off the bill or offer an alternative. This isn't the experience that you'd expect from a restaurant who claims that they strive to have a successful service every night. Well you know what? Mission failed.

Ken A.

Yelp
Outstanding restaurant. Truly outstanding in every way. We walked in at about 7P on a Saturday and got very lucky to get a great table. Beautiful restaurant. Tables are nicely spaced. Our meal was incredible. I started with the house cured prosciutto with soft cheese. My lovely had the Caesar salad. Both were yummy. For our entrees, my wife had the pici alla bolognese and I had the gnocchi osso bucco. Typically, she sticks a better landing. Not this time. As divine as her meal was, mine was better. You know how sometimes sauces aren't purely distinctive from one plate to another? That wasn't the case here. Both were awesomely unique. They served us complimentary focaccia bread. I had a peach Bellini, which was good, but I've had better. The service from the moment we arrived was outstanding. Truly, this place is a humdinger and we highly recommend.

Laura R.

Yelp
What a splendid experience we had at this fine restaurant. Located about a kilometer from the main strip and away from all the hullabaloo, you will find an enchanting establishment with hearty, melt in your mouth Italian dishes your nonna would be proud of! We ordered the focaccia, misticanza salad, oglio and olio pasta, pepperoni pizza and cannoli. Everything was so delicious, and the service was very friendly and down to earth. It is a must when you are in the area.

Lisa M.

Yelp
The food was amazing! I had the ravioli and my husband had a pasta dish with meat sauce. You can not go wrong with whatever you order. All the pasta is homemade. We did order a cannoli for dessert and that was homemade as well. Two disappointments that I soon got over; the Italian wine chianti should always be available at an Italian restaurant but they were out. Also, I think I am used to the states when it comes to complimentary bread before dinner, but that wasn't true here. I highly recommend! Enjoy!

Kaylee C.

Yelp
Everything about our meal at Napoli was great. We loved the focaccia, the tagliatelle, and the gnocchi. The server was attentive. The space was well decorated and cozy. We would definitely visit again if we come back to the area.

Heidi L.

Yelp
Posting a review because we relied on reviews to give this restaurant a try in the first place! This adorable little restaurant did not disappoint. Took my mom in a motorized wheelchair and it was no problem to get her in. Homemade pasta was to die for! Authentic, paper thin crust pizza was also fantastic! Would definitely go back for the food... but the waitress, Janet, made the experience over the top and 6 stars Patient, sweet, attentive, and very knowledgeable. Extra helpers pre- cleared our table to help out... just top notch food and service. We walked 1/2 mile from our NF Hilton to get there and it was 100% worth it!

Max D.

Yelp
The experience at Napoli Ristorante and Pizzeria was outstanding! It started with our waiter- Sebastian. He gave a brief overview of the menu and pointed out a few of the house specialties. We started with house made focaccia and a charcuterie board. The bread was amazing and the salami and prosciutto were some of the best we've had. The house salad was simple but excellent. The greens were crisp and fresh. We had the margarita and Americana pizza, mushroom risotto and osso bucco for our mains. All were delicious and unique. I would highly recommend Napoli to anyone looking for a great meal and exceptional experience.

Py K.

Yelp
The food was delicious! Every dish I ordered was great. This is the kind of Italian restaurant I've always wanted to go. The server guided me through my order with great tips so I was able to enjoy every dish. The place is calming with soft jazz music yet you can dine with casual attire. I would go there at least twice a month if I wasn't over 2,300 miles away

Jane K.

Yelp
The food was exceptional. We enjoyed everything we got. Homemade pasta and unique dishes. Would definitely come back if we happen to be in town again!

Rob O.

Yelp
We arrived in town a bit late and went here before checking in to the hotel. The fresh focaccia with risotto cheese, honey, and oil was worth the drive we made to get to Niagra falls. No exaggeration. What came out for our meals was phenomenal. I had the pasta special, we had people in our party who got pizza and another ravioli, and we finished with desserts that were a lovely flourish for an impeccable meal that got our trip off to a great start. Service was arguably better than the food. Sebastian was warm and helpful. The place was bustling and yet felt cozy and relaxing. We had a short wait but it was more than worth it.

Greg S.

Yelp
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to. Great Appetizers, strong cocktails, wonderful mains dishes, exquisite desserts.

Erica P.

Yelp
Lovely authentic Italian place!! Our food was amazing, we shared the bolognese. It was nice to have a family portion option on the menu. Service is friendly and efficient. Inside is cozy !! Great meal from what we felt like was a family business! With so many tourist options in Niagara this was a breathe of fresh air!

Scott H.

Yelp
Food was authentic and so good. The atmosphere was relaxed. But the service outstanding. Jorge was everything you'd hope. He was attentive and we were never waiting for anything. His knowledge and explanation of the menu made our choices easy. Sometimes you find that restaurant that matches great food with service. Napoli is that place.

Abigail W.

Yelp
Loved this place! My husband and I had such a lovely date night on a Saturday while in niagara. We had about a 10 minute wait but were sat in the lounge and ordered drinks. Every dish we ordered was excellent- you can 100% tell the difference in the homemade pasta. Service was also friendly and prompt.

James O.

Yelp
Food was great! Had the calamari which came with a tasty dipping sauce. Next had the arincini ball with delicious marinara. Finally had the Bianca pizza which had pears caramilized onions and Brie cheese. Crust had a nice crunch. Excellent! Service was outstanding. Very attentive and friendly

Callie R.

Yelp
My husband booked this spot based on the great Yelp reviews and it lived up to the hype! We had a very sweet server and he recommended we start with the focaccia which was delicate and flavorful. We split the Contadina pizza and cavatelli abruzzese- both were out of this world. The wood fired pizza was crisp and cooked perfectly and the pasta was Al dente and packed a punch with the hot sausage and balanced well with the rapini. Our service was quick but never felt rushed which I always appreciate. Cute place, but would definitely recommend

Tracie L.

Yelp
The service was great, very friendly and informative. The focaccia bread with whipped ricotta was out of this world! Got the Bianca pizza and that was delicious as well especially with the chile oil! Drinks were delicious. Definitely glad we came!

Darby C.

Yelp
Came here on our day trip to Niagara Falls for my birthday. Enjoyed the old Italian vibe inside. We did not have reservations but the manager told us the wait was about 45 minutes without reservations. There was a lounge area to sit and wait while your table. We were very hungry and luckily we got a table in about 30 mins. I ordered the Arrabbiata pizza and my wife got the rigatoni pasta special of the day. The pizza was thin and wood fire oven baked. The rigatoni had fresh tomato sauce and spicy sausage. We also ordered Peroni beer on draft. Overall good experience. Wish they had more options on the menu. The complimentary foccacia bread with tomatoes was addictive. The prices for Niagara falls area is reasonable. Will come back to try again.

Teresa K.

Yelp
Really rude wait staff and service and mediocre ambience. As soon as we walked in, the guy at the bar looked us up and down and I guess determined that we weren't dressed suitably for his snobbish establishment and turned us away saying he had reservations and was completely full. The words out of his mouth was actually "I'm going to have to politely decline taking you in". It would have been waaaaay more polite to just say something like, I'm sorry guys we have a dress code here. You're welcome to come back after you've changed. The way he looked at and talked to us was so rude and unkind. The restaurant wasn't even 10% full, it was a Wednesday evening, and the place looked empty both inside and on the outdoor patio, so I think he just made up a lie to get us to leave. Again, just tell us there's a dress code. Also, If you're going to act like a fine dining establishment with dress code expectations, then at least do your part in making your restaurant look the part of fine dining establishment.

Kristin D.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! Pear pizza was amazzzing! Definitely make reservations. They take both currencies.

Kyle G.

Yelp
In a town full of chain restaurants, Napoli stands out. A very authentic Italian restaurant with outstanding service.

Moriah J.

Yelp
Fun story. I came here for my birthday last year on a solo trip! I had a wonderful experience. The hostess and servers could not have been kinder. I ordered the ravioli con zucca, which was ravioli filled with buttercup squash and amaretti, topped with brown butter and sage, and pancetta. I could tell it was made fresh. I was also served soft, scrumptious bread with olive oil. The environment was warm and inviting. Twas an excellent birthday dinner!

Janice D.

Yelp
We had a great waiter, Michael. Everything was delicious and he made sure to up the delicious factors with condiments/oils, cheese. His recommendations were spot on. Atmosphere and food were all top notch. Will be back.

Tyler B.

Yelp
Food was fantastic and the service was just as great! Probably one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

Ruth Ann B.

Yelp
Fantastic! Excellent meal! Had the appetizer special burrato mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes.. fabulous! Bread that came out was super soft, crust was excellent, olive oil for dipping nice and mild. I had the special, homemade pasta with lamb bolognese sauce. My husband had the funghi parts... the sauce was too die for! Left with no room for dessert, unfortunately, because they looked excellent. Loved finding this via Yelp!

Grace C.

Yelp
Delicious. Great flavors. Al dente pasta. Clams were cooked perfectly. Not chewy. Great service. Complimentary bread with extra Virgin olive oil. Cannoli Freshly made in restaurant. So good not too sweet

Amy B.

Yelp
Great food and friendly service. We almost missed this gem. We didn't have reservations and they were turning people away, which I appreciated. They chose quality of service over seating more tables than they could handle. We had a sausage pizza, the pasta oglio and bolognese. The meal started with warm focaccia, yum! We also tried a local cab franc which was tasty. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. Make a reservation so you don't miss this authentic Italian spot amidst the sea of chain restaurants.

Abhijeet B.

Yelp
High price and only seemed to have buffets Ambience average. Went in afternoon on a weekday Hence walked out

Travous D.

Yelp
Truly the best food in the area. Most everything is a tourist trap. Call ahead and get a reservation. Homemade pasta. Maybe the best veal chop I have ever had. Great service. Just eat here every night while in the area. Love the location and the ambiance.

Cierra S.

Yelp
The pasta is handmade, delicious and flavorful. The focaccia was perfect. The pasta was handmade and tender. Hands down the best Italian I've had in a long time. The staff were kind and accommodating, reservations recommended. The atmosphere is laid back, rustic but classy and very welcoming. It's romantic but also gives a good place to gather. 10/10 will come back when in the areas.

Cin C.

Yelp
In a land of chain restaurants, buffets and IHOPs, this intimate Italian restaurant is a gem. We came for dinner on a weekday and was greeted promptly. I can tell that this place would be full to the brim on a normal non-Covid tourist day, but lucky for us it was mostly empty. They sat us by the windows with just enough other patrons nearby to feel cozy but still safe. We settled on a pasta and pizza, but then our server told us about the special of the night: order one pasta and get the second half off. So two pastas it was! We got the Gnocchi Osso Buco and the Mafalda Con Funghi. We loved both of the pastas even though they were both completely different from one another. The Gnocchi Osso Buco was heavy and savory but bright with tomato flavors. It stuck to your ribs and was instant warmth and comfort in each bite. The Mafalda Con Funghi had a light cream sauce that packed deep umami flavors. The long ruffled ribbons of pasta picked up the sauce perfectly in each swirl. Still dream of that pasta! With the 'savings' from the special, we got the tiramisu to end the night. The slice of tiramisu ended up being the size of half a cake. Regardless, we promptly gobbled it up. Their tiramisu is light on the rum and espresso flavors, so it was easy to polish off (even after two pastas). Definite recommendation.

Christopher H.

Yelp
Fantastic food and desserts. Very authentic and great service. Reminded me of some of my grandmother's sauce and pasta. Expresso was very good as well.

Colby F.

Yelp
Fantastic service and great food. My entire party ordered different types of foods, and all of us loved our orders. The environment was also quiet and relaxing. This is the best place we ate at during our entire trip in Niagara Falls!!

Denise M.

Yelp
Such an amazing meal at a wonderful, authentic Italian family restaurant. Boys had pizzas that they truly enjoyed - and I had the best mafalda con funghi I have ever tasted. They have a spicy house made oil that was perfect.

Simona N.

Yelp
It was my second time and honestly the atmosphere, food and service cannot be beat. Special shout out to the waiter Joe for making everyone feel so at home!
