When I booked this estancia, I knew it was one of more authentic ones and it was also one of the cheaper ones too. So I was prepared for it to be fairly basic.|Upon arrival, the sun was gloriously shining and we fell in love with the grounds. We couldn't wait to drop off our bags and explore.|Our room was in the main old building. It was adequate for a nights stay but definitely no frills. Our toilet was also broken during our whole stay which was regrettable. I was glad we only booked one night!|After reading the previous reviews, we knew that lunch would be plentiful but we weren't quite prepared for the 7 different courses of meat that was served although most of it was quite tough and fatty. The house wine was also fairly poor standard.|After lunch we had a guided horse ride which was really fun and memorable.|Afterwards we enjoyed a dip in the pool to cool off.|When we returned, the large groups of day guests left and the whole place felt a lot more intimate and private which was nice.|Other than what I have already highlighted, the other main areas that I feel could really do with improvement was the lack of any warm welcome or formal introduction to the place. You really do have to work out what there is to do and where everything is located yourself.|Also, I feel the day guests were more welcomed, received priority and were given more attention than the overnight guests.|Lastly, after 5pm anyone with any authority/management leave the premises and if you encounter any difficulties you have to deal with the serving staff who hardly spoke any English so trying to get our toilet situation sorted was impossible. At least one Senior Person (with good English) should always be present in case of any emergency situation that needs dealing with.
