"Take home lovely Louise Loubatieres homewares Louise Loubatieres' gorgeous light-filled little concept store on increasingly hip Hap Guan Street is one of those stores you can easily lose hours in. The fascinating shop is located in self-styled Kandal Village, a compact neighborhood of three parallel streets wedged between the French Quarter and Old Market area that has become an emerging shopping, eating and drinking district. The lovely Louise, who can often be found out the back of the shop baking or making a pot of tea, is of Cambodian, French, British, and Vietnamese heritage, and her ancestry is reflected in her impeccable taste and passion for arts, crafts, textiles and design objects from Southeast Asia, and her carefully curated selection of beautiful things. Unlike some of my favorite shops, Louise doesn't limit herself to 'made in Cambodia' products, and won't hesitate to source pretty things from places like Chiang Mai or the Mekong Delta if she discovers something special. Louise largely stocks homewares, from colorful lacquer bowls to textiles that can serve as table runners."

Shop here BEFORE going to the Angkor Watt Temples. This store has quality clothing made from, natural, breathable fibres. I bought this silk outfit afterwards and totally regret it; I looked like a sweaty mess in all my pictures taken at those beautiful Angkor temples. I have been wearing this to the Temples in Thailand. I’m dressed modestly, I’m comfortable and look nice in pictures. Wish I bought more!

This is literally what a shop should be! Louise and her husband were so kind and heartfelt when we visited their amazing boutique! It has such beautifully selected items and you can really tell that each item is selected with love! What is more, Louise is like the expert in all great things related to Siem Reap. Found this place while looking for a different shop on the same street and loved it so much I had to bring my partner and his sister back the same day!! Owner designed fashion and locally made pieces. Perfect light and airy clothing for the hot SEA climate. Excellent quality, English speaking, and friendly. We got a good dinner and silk shop recommendation from Sam too 😊

What a happy find! This lovely boutique is run by Sam and Louise, an international multilingual couple who work with local artists. They gave us a couple local recommendations for things to do, including a street food joint outside the women’s temple. Great place for local tips and souvenirs.

Wonderful range of unique items designed by, and manufacture overseen by, the owner. Been there 11 years - and survived the pandemic - which is a testament to the quality on offer. Could have bought half the shop, and others looked to be trying to. You might need a spare suitcase….

One of my favourite places in Siem Reap! My boyfriend, sister and I have been to Louise's shop numerous times during our ten-day trip here, specifically for her high-quality, locally made clothes and homewares. We bought quite a few linen items (mens and ladies), and she even had some items custom-made for my boyfriend to take back home. Louise is a lovely, warm person, who has also given us plenty of tips and ideas on what to do on our holiday, and even went out of her way to drop an item at our hotel so my sister would have it on time for her flight.
